AFPA is an excellent dance school. My daughter has been at this dance school for the last five years. She loves what she does and has become a phenomenal dancer. The owners and teachers are amazing ! Mike & Amber who are the owners spend a lot of time with there students and guide them in the right direction. They are like a family and go above & beyond for there students.

Beautiful and clean facility– local families are fortunate to have such a large studio with high caliber staff and training opportunities across many disciplines. Highly recommend for kids of all ages who was to develop their skills in the performing arts!

Unfortunately, my opinion is the owner, Amber Booth, is a bully. Myself, my daughter, my girlfriends daughter and her classmates have witnessed Amber yelling, threatening, and using biting sarcasm to humiliate the children in front of their classmates.
Being strict and teaching the children discipline is a good thing but belittling children in front of their team mates until they are in tears, is not. It’s a very uncomfortable sight to watch. I can only assume that the parents who keep their children here do so because of contractual obligations, proximity to their homes, they don’t want to leave their friends, or Amber hasn’t yelled at them personally. My advice, stay away. There are plenty of great dance schools who build children up and use positive reinforcement for long term success.
UPDATE 2016: I was messaged by one of the reviewers/​employee? I gave her the dates my children attended so the response after this review is incorrect. My friend’s daughter was one of their best dancers and left DIRECTLY because of Amber’s abusive words. After hearing her story, I was motivated to stand up for these kids. There’s a special kind of bad karma for adults who bully children the way Amber has. In my opinion, if it weren’t for her husband, I doubt there would be very many students attending.

I have two daughters that take classes at AFPA. The staff is excellent. They truly enjoy what they do & it shows in the quality of instruction and professionalism at the studio. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend enrolling your child at this studio.

My daughter has been dancing with Mike & Amber since she was 3 years old — before they opened Adaptive Force Performing Arts. We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for her dance education. She has blossomed as a person and as a dancer in every positive way possible. If you are considering dance as an artistic and athletic outlet for your child, consider Adaptive Force.
