Aveda Lifestyle Store

–Nice essense of plant scent that lures you into the store (actually, just wanted to wash my hands in the store sink — too lazy to find a restroom).
–Store is located upstairs in Scottsdale Fashion Square above the food court area.
-(Very serious) Store employee offers you some hot tea to sample…
-$ 10.50 starting price for a bottle of shampoo… and this stuff really makes your hair feel CLEAN!!! And the scent leaves your bathroom smelling like a spa! No more crappy $ 2.50 bottles of shampoo for me!
–If you are a first time customer, they will ask you for your contact info to follow-up…um, it’s shampoo, not a car. Really?
–They will ask you if you want a bag for your purchase (environmental save the earth stuff)…hmmm? Let’s see, do I want to walk around the mall with a couple of random shampoo bottles in my pockets?
–They have a website you can order from too… some promos offer free shipping and a free sample over a certain amount ($ 35 or $ 40).

Ok, I am a TV addict, I admit. So, I saw Aveda Shampure on a morning show as one of the best beauty products in the country, and HAD to get some. I visited this location inside Scottsdale Fashion Center today and the girl greeted us and asked what brought us in today. I told her I saw the Shampure on TV and wanted to try it. She did try to talk me into the big bottle, but I really only want to try it.
The store is a hair care specialty store, so it is small, but very organized and clean. I am not sure where else you can find their product, and I don’t know how they stay in business.
So, I left with a small bottle of shampure and matching conditioner under $ 20. I will update when I try them and let ya’ll know if it is worth it.
UPDATE: Used this stuff today. Has a peppery like smell. My hair is definitely softer today. Bottle says it is made from flowers from the rainforest. Just realized that might not be good — are they stealing the rainforest flowers!!! Gonna use it for a week and see what happens.

Could Aveda get any better?
They don’t test on animals, use organic ingredients and have some of the absolute best hair, skin and body products ever.
My favorites are the rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner and the clove shampoo and conditioner. They’re all really awesome. Their styling products all work really well and smell great and I think their entire line is priced pretty reasonably for how fantastic the products are.
If you haven’t tried Aveda, it’s high time you do. Paying a few bucks more for their products is completely worth it!
