Mary in customer service ranks at the top of my list of people who get it! I have bar stools purchased about 8 years ago from Copenhagen. Two of them have never been right but we limped along. Then I thought, I bet Copenhagen could attend to the shakiness of the two bar stools that were the problem. They more than surprised me with their attention to detail, their openness to helping me and how quickly they fixed them. They picked them up from my home, fixed them in a day and then delivered them back to me solid and better than the day we got them. I love these people!

My husband and I have bought multiple pieces of furniture from Copenhagen for years, and still have several pieces including a chair/​ottoman set that are around 20 years old that we absolutely will not part with for any reason! All of these pieces have held up — our household has included 2 children, several dogs… and of course the wear & tear of friends and family. We have never had to return anything, nor have anything repaired — so, when I decided to update the family room I started my search for a mid-​century modern styled sofa at the Scottsdale store.
Husband was a little overwhelmed with the prices, so for a couple of days I took him to several mid-​level furniture stores to see what less money buys. I also to took him to a more expensive store… after the second day, he told me to go back to Copenhagen because the other stuff at the mid-​level stores was so cheaply made, and yet not that much less expensive… and the quality was no better at the more expensive store.
Took me less than 30 minutes from start to finish to purchase my sofa — Linda B. was wonderfully patient as I had questions about 2 other sofas which required her to call other stores and do some research & measuring. I ended up with the one I originally wanted (despite distracting myself with other options) and delivery will be less than a week out. I can’t imagine anything will go wrong with the delivery since there’s never been a problem in the past, but if there is I will definitely update this review.

I have bought furniture from Copenhagen numerous times over the past ten years and have rarely been disappointed. My recent experience, of course, involves the new house. I finally got to shop for a cool sectional and of course this was my one and only serious stop. Leather, contemporary and exceptional in design and comfort. I also snagged a sweet Italian desk which I am currently sitting at. All of this aside, the reason for the 5 star review is because after delivery I came home to find a chip missing from the wood veneer. I spent the night hoping I wouldn’t have to cover this area with a shelf or worse however, upon broaching the subject with our salesman he promptly agreed to exchange it for a new one. Not a small item either and there was no hesitation. I love a company that understands the consumer and takes care of them at all cost. Best part of the story? I promptly bought a rug and a matching bookshelf :)

We purchased an entertainment center in 2011 and recently discovered that the front of the main drawer which comprised a significant portion of this design was detaching from the drawer itself. Several wood pegs on both sides of the drawer had dried out and come unglued. Consequently the front of the unit threatened to fall off. We contacted the store which immediately made arrangements for repair at no charge. The repairs have worked seamlessly. Clearly we would have preferred that the unit was made better to begin with, but were very happy with the response by the store. Problems happen and its how well a company addresses those problems that makes a world of difference. So our heartfelt thanks to the manager Mary Hall at the Scottsdale store!

This is, for all practical purposes, the only Danish modern store in Phoenix with significant stock, which is shocking. I’ve moved from the Midwest where I’m used to a large variety of furniture stores that run the spectrum and good service.
Because these people were about the only game in town (except for Modhome in Tempe– which didn’t have what I needed) I ordered two end tables from this store. For starters, it was unbelievable that it took them a full week to get two end tables from the Tucson store to the Scottsdale store.
My second complaint is that I made a point to ask the sales people-​twice– when ordering, if they would assemble the tables if I picked them up. The delivery charges didn’t justify the expense.
Both times I asked about assembly, they assured me they would assemble the tables. When my husband went today to get them– surprise surprise– no assembly.
Observation-​If you’ve only got one truck running between Tucson and Scottsdale per week, you’re not doing much business. These people are incompetent. I have other modern furniture to buy– a lot of it– and I’ll be damned if I’ll buy it from this company. I’ll take my own truck to California and Dania Furniture if necessary. Anyone who opens a midcentury modern store in Phoenix could clean up. These people are clueless. Maybe that person should be me.

I love Copenhagen furniture. I love the style. We looked high and low for the perfect sectional for our family room and Copenhagen had the only stylish one we could find. We loved the built in recliners and cup holders. We had good service during the ordering process, but they told us it would take four or five months and it took like 9 months. We kept having to call and check on it, too – they never called us first.
Then, when we finally got it – it kept breaking! In the year that we’ve had it, it’s never been fully operational. The furniture repair shop that they use can’t get the parts from Italy, it takes months to get the parts, then once they get them the furniture repair company can’t get us on the schedule for months.
We are not hard on furniture. We don’t have little kids jumping on it. It’s for sitting on and watching TV. A sofa should be able to do that without being broken.

OMG! I love Copenhagen! The fun and unique contemporary designs have lasting appeal. Want to have art on your floors and supporting your bed, as well as on your walls? Well this is the place.
Now, keep in mind: your going to pay an artistic premium for each piece. I tend to have expensive taste (it’s a curse) The bed frame I want: $ 3K. The sheets I bought for my bed: $ 200; blanket: $ 800; specialty pillow: $ 250; couch: $ 4K; coffee table: $ 400; bar stools: $ 350 each (OUCH!). You know what though? It looks amazing! That bedroom and living area will really POP, in all the right ways!
Don’t we all wish we could afford the things we wanted? Sigh. Maybe I’ll have most of that stuff before I retire :/
