My husband usually repairs most everything in our house so I was very nervous taking a chance on having our Dacor dual oven repaired by an untested technician. But I had no reason to worry with Desert Tech Appliance Service! I called Maggie and she knew right away what was the likely problem, in fact quoted me the price of the part as well as the service charge. Once Chris got here he diagnosed the problem in minutes, had the right part with him, and got it working again within the minimum 30 minute service call. Very friendly but still very responsible with my money knowing he was working on ‘my’ clock :). Only disappointment is that they don’t routinely work on all my other appliances but I know who’ll I’ll call next time I have a problem with my oven or range; sorry hubby.

Miele customer service referred me to this company when I had an issue with my dishwasher. The service tech took over 90 mins pulling apart the unit to fix a simple problem with the inlet water feed — the total bill was over $ 400. Then the next time we used the dishwasher, the drain pump was making a loud noise which was not there prior to the service. When I called to have this addressed, I was told that this would be considered a new call and that I would be charged again. Would not recommend this company.

It’s too bad Desert Tech only works on high end appliance brands, because I’d use them for everything if I could. After two other«approved» companies failed, Desert Tech immediately diagnosed the problem with our Fisher-Paykel and had it fixed in an hour. Their service fees aren’t any higher than the other guys and they get the job done quicker since they know what they’re doing, so it usually ends up costing less and for sure gets the job done with fewer headaches. The techs are always glad to answer all our appliance-related questions — and give correct answers! — and the office staff is super nice. Now if only I can talk them into working on my Whirlpools…
