I don’t know about the other reviews. But my transaction went pretty smooth. The lady in there explained everything pretty well.
As for the price. Yeah, a little on the expensive side but the quality is higher than avg.
And I like high quality for the things worth framing.

I moved here and left what I thought to be the best framing store ever and decided to try this place. I worked with Scott who thankfully is equally as anal as myself. Very pleased with the work and this place turned out to be better than my favorite place. Highly recommended. We had several pieces framed here and not one of them had any signs of imperfection.

Hall of Frames stinks.
They recently started advertising with Unilocal and have repeatedly complained to Unilocal about a 100% genuine and honest 3 star review I wrote about my experience with their service. So Unilocal has removed it twice. Now it’s rewritten and a 1-star review:
80% of the cuts on their frames are very sloppy. They try to cover it up with putty and hope you won’t notice.
Fortunately, the guys at this Scottsdale store are really nice and they have a no-hassle re-make policy.
Unfortunately, they’ve jacked up their prices. A lot. Now, even with a coupon, their current prices are at about the same level as their non-discounted prices from a few months ago. Now it’s no longer worth all the hassle to get custom frames from HOF.
Save your money and go someplace else where they will do the job right the first time.

I had a good experience here recently. My boyfriend made me a painting (aww) and we took it to get it framed. The guy who helped us was really friendly and had a great eye for knowing what would look best for the painting. And what I really liked even more than that was the fact that he wasn’t trying to push only the priciest matting and frames; instead, he was recommending the items that would truly make the painting look the best, and I appreciated that.
Pricing was pretty good too… Framing is just going to be kinda expensive– you really can’t get around that, but I think what we paid was fair.
They also put the wire on the back and gave us nails to hang it up on the wall. And they did this all in a couple of days. Not bad. I can’t wait to hang it up! :)
