WORST doctor ever! First, let me tell you a bit about myself so you have a baseline. I’m fit, have about 10lbs of fat to lose(from a bodybuilding perspective which means I’m not overweight per se), lift weights 4 – 6 times a week, do cardio or hike 4 – 6 times a week, have a strict carb cycling diet, etc. 1.5, let me tell you about Hamilton. He’s obese and old. I wish that doctors could not practice unless they were healthy themselves. Second, I moved to the area and am looking for a new doctor. I was looking to Hamilton for thyroid meds, birth control, blood tests for vitamin levels, mineral levels, hormone levels, cortisol and adrenal levels, normal blood panel, and a led to control my appetite(which I have been on for two years). Third, Hamilton said he wouldn’t test anything except the typical blood panel and vitamin d. Then he said if my periods were regular before the birth control, my hormone levels were fine. WTF!!! Then he said he wouldn’t give me my appetite suppressant that I’ve been on for two years because I COULD have a problem with my heart.(I’m fit and have ekgs regularly I told him). He didn’t care. He told me that if I told him I was taking HEROIN for the past two years without problem that he wouldn’t recommend it to me. WTF!!! I think there is a HUGE difference between prescription drugs being used for their APPROVED use versus illegal drugs. But that’s just me. He told me to get used to the idea that I would gain 10% of body fat each year. BS!!! No wonder people are fat… They just succumb to this bs school of thought that doctors shove down their throats!!! I expressed to Hamilton that he should be happy to have a patient that wants to know her baseline numbers via blood work before supplementing to ensure I have the right nutrients(I clearly explained that my diet may be light in certain nutrients). He didn’t care. He then asked if I ever get tired. I said, well, after lifting and cardio, yeah, around 8−10pm, I start to get a little tired, yeah. He then asked, «are you sure you’re just not saying that to ensure you get the right blood work ordered?» WTF!!! OMG. I looked him straight in the eye and told him I’m not a dishonest person and that I’m looking for a doctor to supervise my choices in medicine. He didn’t seem to grasp that concept. Oh and I asked for an appointment where the wait would be minimal. I was at his office for TWO hours! Needless to say, I will not be going back to this doctor. And I highly recommend that you find another doctor to go to. Hamilton should not be in practice, in my opinion. He shouldn’t be denying approved drugs to patients just because they would not be safe for HIM to use!

One of the nicest guys you will ever meet! When he walks into the room, he gives the impression that he has nothing better to do for the rest of the day but listen to your complaints. He asks questions, takes notes and speaks English to me instead of jargon. On future visits, he always seems to remember small personal details about you. I would recommend him to anyone!
