As the sixth largest city in the US, the Phoenix metropolitan area needs qualitative diversity in the arts available for purchase. The Sissoko family presents an amazing breadth of offerings: African art in wood carvings, textiles, metal jewelry as well as very substantial sculptures both contemporary folk art and antique!
This woman-​owned business would be a credit to any community lucky enough to be its home base. The gallery owner’s mother grew up in Winslow, Arizona, so these are not out of town transplants dipping their toes in our Arizona desert for the sake of commerce. Welcome Hatuma African Gallery!
