Just had the best hair cutting/​styling experience ever!
Erin is incredibly approachable, sweet and very professional. She took the time to talk about my needs and helped me make a decision about my hair.
I wanted something new but didn’t want to make a huge, drastic change. We decided on a color and style and she went to work. She was quick but very detailed. She took the time to show me how to style it too. Also she was very honest about what different products do and there was NO sales pitch for any products.
I found her studio to be so laid back, totally clean and very comfortable. You really get the feeling that you are the only one there, because you are! It was private and very relaxing. I never felt rushed or hurried. She left plenty of time between appts.
I cannot wait to refer everyone I know to her. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to come back!

I’m always a little bit nervous going to someone new, but Erin spent time talking not only about what I’d like to do at this visit, but also encouraged me hang in there another month or two til my bangs are really grown out. I’ve been attempting to grow them out for about a year, and each time they hit this awkward stage, I get them cut again. Anyone who’s ever grown out bangs, knows the last stretch is the WORST. She gently blended them in, so as they keep growing, it’ll actually look good. Amazing!

I went to Erin Michelle to get my hair cut about one month ago. I’m new to the area and needed to find someone to go to, and since I like alternative hairstyles, she seemed like a good fit. I called and left her a message and got a call back within a couple of hours.
Her studio in Old Town Scottsdale was relatively easy to find. She was finishing with another client when I arrived, but she was very warm and friendly when greeting me, and I didn’t mind waiting a few minutes. (She even offered me a beer which was a first for me. Awesome.)
I had no idea how I wanted my hair cut, but she was very patient with me. We discussed it for a few minutes and I told her she had free reign. She was very personable, and we chatted about various things as she washed (she truly is amazing with the scalp massage) and cut my hair. In what felt like no time, she was finished. Then, she did a fantastic job styling it for me (which I was never able to replicate, unfortunately).
This was the most I’ve paid for a haircut, but it was still reasonable, and worth it. I’ve received a lot of compliments on my hair in the past month. She also answered any questions I had about the products she was using, which I appreciated. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Erin for about six years and still enjoy her cutting and coloring my hair. I like that she ask me everytime I get my hair done if I want the same or change it up; she doesn’t assume! She’s very friendly and I like that she doesn’t rush. Great Job, Erin!

Erin is great and she gives the best head massage during the shampoo. She was very good at listening to what I wanted and improving my style, she even came in for me on her day off. I’ll definitely be going back.

Before I found Erin, my hair maintenance was subpar. When I very first moved to the valley I went to many different salons and I was never really impressed by the skills or service that I was paying for. When I met Erin, that all changed and I have been going to her for 6 years now! My husband and mother have even started seeing her within the last couple years too!
Erin has impeccable attention to detail, focuses on hair health and strength, as well as takes the time to listen and explain any questions I have regarding hair upkeep, maintenance or styling. She is also on point when it comes to hair fashion, trends, and happy to explore new looks and styles! When my appointment is nearing an end, Erin always shows and explains the step by step process to best achieve the look I want with my new do!
Indielocks is aesthetically pleasing, relaxing and provides a smooth, tranquil ambiance. I swear, every time I visit Erin it is like a mini-​vacation!
Furthermore, I would highly recommend Erin for any hair needs for special occasions! The best decision I ever made was having Erin do hair for my wedding. Not only did she do exactly what I was looking for, she also styled my (four) bridesmaids as well as my mother and they all looked fabulous! She was so fast and really honed into each individual personality and style.

Erin in amazing at what she does. She is a great stylist, and her coloring skills are second-​to-​none, in my opinion. I’m pretty finicky about who I allow to touch my hair (be it cut and/​or color) and i trust Erin completely. She takes her time and always rechecks, and the finished product … well that speaks for itself.

I have very challenging hair — extremely thick and curly, but without a good pattern to the curl. And I do not like to spend a lot of time on my hair — I am very low maintainence. Erin first cut my hair last summer and gave me the best cut I have ever had — and color too. First the first time in my life — and I am 43 — I could manage my hair, without doing hardly a thing to it. I kept getting that cut until yesterday when I asked her to cut it shorter. I always where it long to weigh the curls down and make it more manageable, but I wanted to have something more playful for the summer. Well, Erin did it again — a new fabulous cut. I highly recommend her and her prices are great too!

Erin Michelle has just moved to Old Town Scottsdale! She is now running her own salon. I would highly recommend trying her out. She is very particular on how she cuts your hair, always checking and rechecking. Her coloring skills are amazing. Please give her a try., you won’t be sorry.

I knew I was in for a great experience with Erin when the client she was done with walked out the door giving me a thumbs up and telling me that she was great. Erin is very professional and it was very apparent during the haircut that rather than just blowing through it to get to the next appointment, she is more concerned with making sure you’re 100% satisfied. The shampoo is more like a free head massage, the conversation was great, and I honestly can’t imagine a better experience. I made a pledge to Erin that is long as I’m in AZ, she’ll be cutting my hair… THATS HOW GOOD IT WAS. Give her a try if you’re considering a new hairdresser and I’m positive she won’t disappoint.
