This is a standard Marketplace Café. That said, food was great and staff was excellent.

I do have a habit to try each Nordstrom café at every place! The Scottsdale Nordstrom café is the coolest one I have had so far! All of the food has a display section, and we can order that according to that! I got attracted at the beginning with chicken parmigiana! And I ordered that right away. But after I walked through entire display section, I feel regretful because there are so many other good options! Anyway chicken parmigiana is good and tasty! Cream brûlée is also fresh and creamy! Service is good! Wine is good too! It is a cool and fun Nordstrom café! I really got impressed!

It’s ok… cute place… decent food… usually busy… decent prices… ok service… very noisy. Helper service is a bubble off a beem.

Nordstrom Café is so underrated. When I’ve mentioned going here to friends that haven’t been before, they’re like«I’m not eating at a department store». But they have been missing out, the food is so fresh & tasty. I am not a salad person & I LOVE the Salmon Nicoise Salad($ 11). It takes a few minutes for it to come out since the salmon is served hot on the salad, but so worth it. Also I always check out the soup of the day, they have tomato basil everyday which is delicious but I normally like to try the other one being served that day. Everything else I’ve had here has been good –pizza, sandwiches, etc. Strongly recommend when in need of a shopping break :)

Good flavors. Fresh food. Decent prices. Just wish serving sizes were a bit bigger or that the meals came with a side. We always seem to leave hungry. But still a better option than most of the mall food.

Usually very good. Today however, not so much. Understaffed at the food counter. Marginal food. Not enough staff in the dining room to take trays, etc. Certainly not worth the premium charged for salad and soup.

Great salads and superior attention to details. Husband had the salmon which was perfect. Loved the apple pear salad.

The men’s shoe department at Nordstrom used to be much better. Fortunately, the Marketplace Café is still upstairs.

Delightful bistro nestled inside of Nordstom’s at th Fashion SquAre Mall serving locally grown food. Relaxing environment with booth style seating and tables for larger gatherings. It was difficult to choose one dish from the oven baked pizza, bbq steak, shrimp pasta I had the grilled Salmon served with freshly baked zucchini, carrots, corn and potatoes.

I can honestly say that there’s nothing better than shopping and having a small bite to eat at the Nordstrom Café/Bistro. It’s pretty much tradition that Stine H. and I would grab cups of soup and buttered noodles to share whenever strolling through Nordy’s so this place brings back many nostalgic memories. I love the Tomato Bisque and the French Onion soups and the little toast served on the side is crisp and perfect for dunking. This time around I wanted something a little heavier, the Spicy Shrimp Angel Hair Pasta is perfect and you can even half the serving to share. The pasta was perfectly cooked, topped with tangy marinara and big pieces of shrimp! The food is way better than anything you could get in the food court– for obvious reasons. It’s just simply delicious. The atmosphere is pretty quiet, the view and natural light makes it comfortable for eating and the service here is great. From our cashier to our server, they do their best to make your time spent in the café as pleasant as possible. I always tip and the little mint chocolates that come with the bill is always a great touch.

I have consistently dined in Nordstrom Cafes for as long as I can remember. I have been disappointed as of late as Nordstrom has seemed to follow suit with every other restaurant out there and has changed their recipes to lower their cost of business. Sandwiches that were once served on ciabatta(or similar) are now made with regular white bread. The margarita pizza, which was once bursting with flavor is now very mild and bland(did they change the cheese? Did they change the sauce? I dunno, but something is different, and I am not the only person who has noticed!). I have particularly never been a major fan of the Scottsdale location because in the past, the wait staff was a bit curt. However, after eating there today, it appears to me that some positive changes have been made. The man at the cash register was very nice — he and his coworker were cracking funny jokes with me. The woman who served us, Lisa, was outstanding. She was quick to help(we were there for a birthday party and had a few kids with us), our drinks were never empty and she bent over backward to accommodate our every need. She is a stellar employee and asset to this café — something they have been lacking for a long time. The food is still decent, it just isn’t what it used to be… but that’s pretty much anywhere you go these days. Sad, but true — I am learning this is a consequence of a struggling economy. This time around, though, the customer service was fantastic. Thanks for a fun day, Nordstrom!

Fantastic option at Fashion Square. Forego all of the mediocre food court and most sit down options at the mall and head to the café instead. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the 3rd floor at Nordstrom, the restaurant is a nice respite from the busy mall. Yes, it is cafeteria-style how you order, but don’t let that sway you, food is cooked to order. I have yet have to have a bad meal there. I’ve tried paninis, pizzas, soup, salads and desserts. The tomato bisque is indeed(as many have said before) quite delicious. And you do need to try the desserts. The cookies are to die for and the crème brûlée is real treat. Service too is quite nice, although the frequent visits by the wait staff, asking if you need anything, can become a bit annoying. You won’t however have to complain about bad service! During my last visit I noticed each meal option had a calorie count associated with it on the menu, a helpful ordering tool if calories are something you track. At the end of the meal the wait staff always leaves you a little chocolate/mint treat. A nice little extra. Definitely one of my favorites in the neighborhood. PS: It can be busy at times, especially around noon with shoppers, ladies that lunch and mall staff, making the place a little loud.

I am a die hard Nordstrom customer for life. They have the best customer service and selection by far. They also have the best lunch spot. Even when I am not shopping, I go out of my way to get lunch at Nordstrom Café. It is cafeteria style where you walk up and choose what you want to eat, pay, and then they bring your food to your table. They have sandwiches, salads, soups, pastas, pizzas, and desserts. The amazing thing is that they have actual visual display plates of all their menu items daily. My go-to’s are the shrimp and arugula salad(the polenta croutons are warm and soft and delicious little nuggets of heaven), the tomato bisque soup that comes with a garlic bread croûton for dipping, and their mushroom ravioli.

Nordstrom Café located on the second floor of the store in the Scottsdale Fashion Mall has to be the best kept secret in town. The food is consistently fresh tasty and has good presentation. The process is to walk the cafeteria line of a gourmet place, selecting your soup, salad or entrée choice, dessert or fresh fruit if you will coffee, wine and a variety of other beverages. An attendant will help you to your table and bring your food if it is a hot entrée, or help get your coffee, wine etc. while your relax from the days shopping. They provide half salads for a liter appetite. I have gone here for years the food is always good. The carrot cake is one of the best I have ever eaten but the coconut cake is not shabby either. Next time your shopping at the Scottsdale Mall keep them in mind if your tastebuds want freshly made food with savory flavor.

I just had the grilled shrimp and arugula salad, AGAIN! Absolutely delicious! Dressing on the side for a no guilt, healthy, delicious and filling lunch or dinner. I am also taking home several desserts. Magic bars, giant macaroons, peach and almond bar(first time for this one) and a few raspberry scones, one of which I am eating while writing this. Stellar café and awesome waitstaff and employees. Make sure to bring dollar bills so you can tip them accordingly. Tipping is optional, but they do a great job of refilling your drink, getting extra napkins and anything else you ask of them. Enjoy.

So yeah, I’ve been a fan of Nordstrom ever since I worked at the Paseo Nuevo Santa Barbara store(#344) over 20 years ago when I was in college.(Yikes!) They are widely known and respected for quality designer merchandise, diverse selection, and unparalleled customer service. But what some people don’t realize is that their café is pretty amazing as well! Yes — their food! At the Scottsdale Fashion Square store, the café is tucked away on the third floor next to the restrooms. From the sales floor, it looks like it would be pretty small. It is only once you go inside that you realize just how spacious this place is. Ordering is done«cafeteria style,» though with the exception of soups and desserts, you don’t actually pick up your food at the line — you get a table number and a server brings the food to you. Ok, so it’s not a fine dining experience. But that’s ok, because the quality and variety of the food more than make up for it. They have a wonderful selection of sandwiches, pastas, salads, and entrees, along with an absolutely decadent array of desserts. They even serve wine if you’re so inclined. On this last visit, my son and I went because he was craving their tomato basil soup. Tomato soup. I think it’s worth mentioning that we do not live close to Scottsdale. This Nordstrom location is about 25 minutes away from our house. But in his mind, no one even comes close to making a tomato soup as good as they do at the Nordstrom Café. The soup is silky smooth, with a nice deep tomato tartness. It is served with a toasted crostini. My son likes to dip the crostinis in the soup, so we usually order an extra side of bread. Tip: Ask for more crostinis! They are so good! I went with the mushroom ravioli. Seven wonderful pockets stuffed with a chopped/pureed mushroom fill, served with a creamy mushroom/sun-dried tomato sauce and topped with parmesan and fresh basil. At first, I was worried that seven raviolis would not be enough, but after savoring the last bite I had to admit that I was stuffed and completely satisfied. The service was prompt and attentive and the overall experience was great. With all the great things that Nordstrom has to offer, it sorta funny that the main reason my son and I drive across town to Fashion Square… is for the food! Try it — you won’t regret it! Oh, and the prices were pretty reasonable — our bill was under $ 20.

Chef-created eats + Upscale Café = Yummers Have walked by Nordstrom’s Café many times thinking, well, it’s a café. Co-worker mentioned how much she and her family like it, so thought to give it a try recently while at the mall. ‘Lo! It is good. Main categories are sandwiches/paninis, salads, larger entrees, and desserts. My wife and our 10-month-old loved the fish and grilled(and moist!) vegetables. Our 6-year-old cleaned off her plate of mac and cheese with a side of fruit. And my experience with the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich with salad was very good. Their vinaigrette options are numerous and excellent. Service was very pleasant both in ordering and the wait staff. We’ll be back.

My trip to the Nordstrom Café was like everyone else’s I did not know what to expect Walking in, I thought it was a restaurant where you get seated but figure out the stand in line, cafeteria style type which did not bug me at all I found it kinda cool actually Walking down the line, there were soooo many different food options and each one looked amazingly good Kudos for the displays; the let people see what the dish looks like and how big the portions are I opted for the cranberry turkey sandwich and a soda, as well as a Snickerdoodle cookie After paying, you then get seated by a server and your food gets delivered to you Our server, Salvadore, was tremendous The service from him was impeccable He was super nice My cranberry turkey sandwich was really, really good (I am not exaggerating) It also came with some plain potato chips which were great My Dr Pepper was always filled and my cookie was heavenly This café really blew my mind, expecially because it’s located in the Nordstrom, in the mall I will for sure return to the Nordstrom café and I am anxious to try the tomato soup

Nordstrom Café earns every single star. This is not your typical mall food, nor is it fast food. While the prices might be what you’d expect from Nordstrom, the food and service are so worth it. And there is something about nursing a glass of Malbec midday in a department store that feels extremely satisfying. Something like«yes, my friend this is the good life. Shall we have a tipsy stroll around the mall then?» I somehow always end up hungry around the late morning time frame when they still have so their breakfast/brunch special going and the omelets are always amazing. If I’m not catching their breakfast at the tail end, I go with one of their exquisite salads. A recent special was salmon cakes with spring greens which my hubby ordered and I got the grilled shrimp with corn and arugula. I’m starting to drool now just remembering it. Light, flavorful and not doused with a bottled dressing. Absolutely perfect. The service is always extremely professional and they work very hard. There is really nothing about this café I don’t like, except for maybe having to walk by the cute dresses to get there which usually ends in a purchase. *Sigh.*

Can not go wrong on anything you order here from salads to pasta to sandwiches and pizzas. the panini sandwiches are healthy, light, tasty. The salads are full of fruit and freshly prepared. The salmon comes with a huge side of veggies that are well prepared. great service is expected at Nordstroms and they go above and beyond in the restaurant. Will always consider eating here when in the area with all the intense restaurant competition around because of the food and service.

I was a little embarrassed to admit to my co-workers that I REALLY wanted to eat lunch at Nordstrom Café! To my surprise they were equally as delighted and it was a nicer alternative to the hum drum food court experience. The café is located on the third floor of Nordstrom’s right next to the young women’s clothing department. I adore Nordstrom Café in my hometown of Honolulu and was very happy to see that the quality was right on par. I always order the angel hair pasta with spicy shrimp and it was EXACTLY what I expected. I always request that there be no spice added and they were more than happy to accomodate! Move over McDonald’s because Nordie’s has got the duplication process down to another level! (Photo: ) Although the restaurant was smaller than I expected, service was wonderful, food was delicious and the only thing which went wrong was they got my friend’s order mixed-up. But of course in true Nordstrom Café fashion, they apologized profusely and fixed it right away. You are my cafeteria style home away from home Nordstrom Café!!! 31 Unilocal Challenge: #10/31
