Aveda Salons are the best! When I travel, that’s my go to place for hair and nails.
I needed a last minute appointment for a haircut and was fortunate to get one.
The hair stylist listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly.
Unfortunately, I forgot her name. Hopefully, someone from the Salon will read this review and respond — appointment was either ¹⁄₁₄ or ¹⁄₁₅.
The staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
I shall return!

I have been here a few times and each time I leave a little dissappointed.
I have been an Aveda customer for a few years now and every Aveda salon I have been to, I am used to being pampered like crazy. The «Aveda ritual» is a norm at every salon I have been to except for this one. It seems it might be an «extra» service on their menu but never something that has ever been offered to me or given to me without asking and I have never bothered to ask as I believe this is something that is supposed to be part and parcel of any Aveda salon.
I dropped my review down to 3 stars because I have asked about their massage service and their therapist was on site that particular day but she wasnt dressed for giving a massage according to her and therefore could no accommodate me. I found it odd and very unwilling to provide a service that a customer was willing to pay for.
After each visit, I have awaited that I be provided the correct services in the appropriate fashion and have not yet, so I think it is time to go look for another aveda salon.

I was looking for an Aveda salon that wasn’t too far from my home and work and Nu Image is the place. The décor is modern and hip. I appreciate that they offer some snack type nibbles, since a hair color appointment can take a while. Bobby did a wonderful job with consultation, color and cut and exceeded my expectations. The clothing boutique is also nice, I picked up a pretty grape colored blouse. I think that the hair station area needs a little something, accent artwork or color design in the wall or cabinet décor to really make the place visually pop. I plan on checking out the pedi services too, since the layout of the salon is interesting and has a nice 2^nd story window view!

I’ve used Aveda salons many times in several different states as well as going to Concept Salon and School so I’m well versed and have before this time had good experiences. The don’t do any of the «extras» all the other salons do. The hand massage or head massage which in my experience has always been done.

This salon is just wonderful. David was the hairstylist and he was better than great. He listened to me and worked with me to create exactly what I wanted.
The entire experience was great. All the staff very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely go back to this place and would recommend it anyone wanting a truly professional, friendly and satisfying hair experience.

I tried this place with groupon. I loved my aveda experience in their salon. David did my haircut and styling. He was very patient with the entire process and did my hair very nicely. I would definitely recommend this place.

Found Nu Image Salon through groupon. I got a root color, partial highlights, deep condition, and haircut by Bobby. He did an excellent job during the consultation, process, and styling. I love how my hair looks and feels. I’ve received many compliments on it since my appointment. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Bobby.

I came to this salon for the first time on a whim — my normal hair stylist was booked out till forever and I needed a trim, plus I booked a bow wax & lash and brow tint. Stephanie did my wax/​tint and I have to say, she is a brow magician. I have had my brows done in all kinds of places, from really high end to nail salon :) she did the best work by far and my brows look amazing! She also got way down in the lashes with the tint and my lashes look great. Bobby did my cut and he was very friendly, listened carefully to what I wanted and delivered exactly what I was asking for. I am growing my hair, so just needed a little cleaning up and he definitely created a look that will transition easily into longer hair (along with a great scalp massage). Great experience, no waiting around, pleasant ambiance and nice people at affordable prices. Nothing to really complain about here!

I was highly impressed with the relaxed and clean atmosphere of this full-​service Aveda salon. I went in for an express manicure and pedicure and was thrilled with the results by my technician Jodi, who was friendly and made sure she kept tip-​top shape of my nails.
My manicure is one of my favorite I’ve ever had, with thick glitter chunks overlayed on a shimmery pink base. Jodi cleaned up my nail beds and cuticles and gave a great hand massage before applying the paint, and gave me tips on how to make my manicure last longer. She also applied a gel top coat to ensure they would stay chip-​free for longer than the typical express manicure.
The pedicure was heavenly, with the foot tub infused with great-​smelling bath salts. The express pedicure included exfoliation and callous removal, and I absolutely loved the massage chair I sat in during the procedure — I felt like I was getting a bonus treatment. My pedicure looks just as fantastic as the manicure.
The salon and spa, which also includes massage and facial services, was welcoming and peaceful, and I loved the mountain views from the second story salon — it’d be wonderful to head there during a sunset and relax. You’re also offered a drink (you can get wine or tasty non-​alcoholic beverages), and I left feeling pampered and cared for.
Whether you love Aveda products or are just looking for a soothing, natural product treatment, I’d recommend Nu Image as a great find in the Scottsdale area.

I use Aveda salons all the time and this one is not the best. Although I didn’t hate my hair, I didn’t love it. I don’t mind paying a lot to get my hair done as long as it is worth it.
First, they are over-​priced, for example, they offer balayage and charge base price of $ 135 but they don’t really do the «real» balayage; they use paper «foils»…Not the same thing. In contrast, Perry Monge Aveda in Phoenix, their balayage starts at $ 75 and they do the correct technique by hand-​painting.
Second, they say you get to choose two of their Aveda rituals (hand massage, head/​shoulder massage, make-​up touch-​up, etc…, but I’ve had Marie twice and she doesn’t offer or do any of it. Basically, I didn’t feel I was getting the true Aveda experience.
Lastly, if you ask the owner any questions regarding service, he gets flustered and defencsive. I asked why they charge a premium for a hair coloring technique they don’t really do and he kept saying he doesn’t know anything about hair, he just runs the place.
Needless to say I won’t be back. And if you want a true Aveda Ritual experience don’t go to Nu Image; there are plenty of other Aveda places where you won’t pay the premium prices and will get more for your money.

I had an amazing experience with my manicure. She was informative, personable and impeccable. I would highly recommend this facility.

I came to Nu Image in February for a massage and facial. I told them I was treating myself to some pampering since I have been busy planning my wedding (June 21, 2014). When I was checking out (after 2 hours of amazing and relaxing services!) they told me that they did hair/​makeup for weddings. Marie gave me a tour of the spa and I was immediately impressed! About a week later, I called to book my trial and wedding day appointment.
Paul, Marie, Jennifer, and the rest of the team did an amazing job. I came in the day before my wedding for a mani/​pedi with my bridesmaids. They hung a «congratulations Katie» banner near the pedi area and even played a customized playlist at the spa just for me! I truly felt like a Princess!
On my wedding day, my bridal party and I had the spa to ourselves from 8−11am. They played my favorite music, poured us champagne, provided fruit, cheese, and other fabulous snacks! Nu Image is a very professional spa, with top notch customer service! I will never forget my experience at this spa, and I hope every future bride feels the way I did on my wedding day and looks as amazing as I did as well!
My mom and sister are coming back to AZ at the end of the month and the 3 of us are getting facials and massages! They have customers for life!!!

Had a WONDERFUL experience at Nu Image Salon. Love my new look! A beautiful salon with absolutely fantastic staff and owners. Love the contemporary décor and bountiful natural light. Offers so many services, just too many to name in this review. I HIGHLY recommend scheduling an appointment today!

This salon is great! The staff is wonderful and service is great! I love my new hair cut and color. I have gotten so many compliments on my new hair. The Aveda concept is just the icing on the cake of an already wonderful salon experience. Definitely choose Nu Image salon you wont regret it!
