This is Allstate office. I have been with Allstate since 1985. I needed a surety bond for my business, which they assured me they could handle. The deadline was month to have this bond set up. First they farmed the work out, then when their sub contractor sat on the job and could not deliver they decided to prepare it in house. I had been in communication with this office for the last two weeks trying to get this established. With 5 days left in the month I called the office and told them that time was running out and I needed the bond yesterday. They said the person in charge of bond applications had my paperwork and it was in progress and this was nothing out of the ordinary for this office. Today I get call from the company requesting the bond telling me that the bond was supposed to be in their hands yesterday. I call up Practically Free and get to the underwriter. The deadline is passed and he’s asking me questions that should have been asked a month ago with the initial application, and he’s asking me like he has never seen my paperwork and asks me to resubmit more information. They cost me $ 7400.00 I changed my insurance to another Allstate Office closer to where I live, figuring if they can screw up something routine, what are they doing with my policies? Oh, the new agent found two mistakes on my policies and corrected them in front of me. He picked them up by just looking at them for 3 minutes. All Practically Free was doing was billing me for renewals. Sorry I can only give one star, I would like to give a zero!
