The line that lingered way out the doors from Pub Rock made me question my decision to go see a concert at a small venue. The line sure didn’t move quick enough for my liking. but that where the dismay of the evening ended. Once inside it was cool and friendly. OK, the two major drunks were touchy feely and no respect for personal space — but they were also escorted out before the second band started playing. That, to me, tells me a lot of the control of the crowd this place shows. Drinks. Beer for under $ 3 and mid range hard liquor mix drinks for $ 5. Also the female bartenders were on their game. No bullshitting and no flirting, just hard working. I like it. The volume was quite perfect. Loud as it should be, but not so you had to use those terrible ear plugs that distorts any treble. This is a huge plus. The security and audio personnel were accurate and nice. The audio people took any chance to hit on young girls that wanted to feel important and stay close to the mixing table. Come on, it isn’t glamorous to be a roadie so when attention is given I expect it to be grabbed. and it was. Clientele. Not bad. Metal crowds are on average not a pretty bunch, and I know — I have been part of that subculture for more than 20 years. But nice enough and friendly as always. If I could say one negative on the metal crowd this Saturday Night, then it would be that it was a smelly bunch of people. I know it was hot, and people do sweat but come on. This was anti-fresh. I still enjoy your faces. Oh, another thing on the bartenders. they were very patient with the drunkards. and cut the right people off. Very professional. I will be coming back here more often from now on. And the Will Call. I usually don’t like will call because of the doubtless cluster%#@$ but in this case I have to readjust my attitude. Very smooth. Well done Pub Rock.

Really cool small venue to enjoy live music! We went to see Black Pistol Fire, and was surprised with how open and clean the place was. Drinks are on the cheap, which is awesome, and the acoustics in the place were the perfect place to rock out. It did take a little bit of time to get our drinks as there were only 2 bartenders, but the place wasn’t that packed, and we were listening to good tunes, so it didn’t matter that much. I would definitely come back to Pub Rock Live to see another band play!

We met up here one time with a running group and it was ok. Whatever you do, do NOT buy tickets through Ticketfly which is listed on their website! We made that mistake and paid $ 8 more than we would have paid at the door and all info regarding the show was incorrect. When we asked for a refund, we were denied. We ended up paying for a show that we didn’t even get to see! Pretty lame. Pub Rock apparently had the option of refunding us as well, but also declined. We won’t be going back ever again. Thanks for ripping us off Ticketfly :)

Good small venue for all ages, the bar is a little old but it adds to the atmosphere. Saw black pistol fire here, just expect a very eclectic crowd. Good beer and good prices.

Pub Rock used to be Chasers but it’s still the same concept Bar and Venue for local and smaller act shows I’ve been going to shows there for years now and it’s always a good time Wish they had a kitchen but maybe down the road

Cool place. I was here when it was atomic café and after that chasers. Overall, similar vibe and layout. Sound system is great and the staff is super cool. I plan to visit more often for sure!

Went to see an all ages show at this venue. Great place to see bands up close and personal. All ages are in the front and those who want to drink are in the back by the bar area and lounge. They do not separate parents from their kids(as stated by others) unless the parents want to drink which would make no sense to me anyway. I am over 21 and my child is under 21 and I was able to stay in the front just as other parents and guardians did. Security guards were plentiful and kind. I was actually shocked considering some of the horrible reviews. Plenty of parking in the front parking lot.

Super scary for teens… they sell as some shows as «All Age» but make the kids walk around the building to enter from the alley. Its a ghetto neighborhood to begin with, what the heck? Great spot for perverts to find an unexpected minor to jump or lure away. It’s a law suite waiting to happen! Parents beware for your children’s sake! So strange the way they have it set up… How do they keep a license? How are they getting around having kids in a bar without their parents or legal guardian? Sick, greedy, and very sad…

Baby pen for the underage at an all age show? No reentry, but if you’re 21 you can step outside? This makes it so difficult for everyone to enjoy the show, especially when you’re the only 20 year old in your group of legal drinking friends. Lame.

I went here last night to see The Mary Onettes. The doors were supposed to be at 7:30, the show at 8, but I get there at 7:40 and I’m told I have to stand outside until 8pm. Which ended up being like 8:20. That was annoying. The bartender was really nice and attentive. But the weirdness is that because it’s all ages, they split the floor where the band plays into 21 and over/under, yet you can’t take your drink past the bar area anyway. WTF is the point of this? The sound in the place is good, and I was totally looking into the lead singers nostrils and beautiful blue eyes because there were like 5 people in attendance — we got right in there! Not a fan of the place, but it does have great sound going for it.

prub rock… that’s whats up this is a rathole bar in a strip mall. it smells OK and the bartender is friendly and down to earth. there is a bunch of stupid NFL shit everywhere. i saw the weeks here which was super fun and someone tried to sell me coke in the bathroom. «i’m good bro». left my card here and they didn’t overcharge me, so i thank you for that. there is nothing remarkable about this place and maybe that’s a good thing. 3 stars for being what you are supposed to be.

Previously Chasers, I spent many of my Friday and Saturday nights at this venue. It’s an odd venue, inside of a mostly empty strip mall. There is a small convenience store to the left, and a huge Jesus Christ book Store, oh and a pet shop. If someone opened a Filabertos or the like, I’m sure they’d make a killing after shows. The entry process is interesting. If you’re over 21 you can go through the front door, if you’re under 21 you have to walk around the building, and go in the back way. I understand all ages show with a bar can be tricky, but there has to be a better way then sending kids to walk around a building, alone, in the dark! The drinks were reasonable, in fact so reasonable I may have over enjoyed myself, and still got out for just over 30 dollars. Chasers used to have pool tables but they’re gone now. Multiple high top tables with chairs in the«bar» areas. They also have 3 big screen TVs with the live act on — so if you want to continue to drink, you can still watch the show(since it’s near impossible to see the stage, because of a weird angle. That was a nice touch, otherwise I might have missed most of the show lol They bar has obviously had a face lift since chasers, but it’s just missing something. Also, I think they oversold the show that night, because I was shoulder to shoulder even in the bar area. Depending on whose playing, we may go back. But it would have to be someone awesome.

I love the opera… It’s beautiful, emotional, the seats are comfy, everyone is fancy pants-ing it up… This is not that — you came to see a kick a$$ up-and-coming band in a small, intimate venue with a few other fun folk. So all the others bi@#%hing about this great pseudo-dive(this is not really dive) in an unassuming middle of nowhere strip mall are just plain silly. Even parking is easy! What more do you want?! Fancy Cocktail — Gin and Tonic(f@#% the lime) Beer — PBR Budweiser Food — That’ll just mess with your buzz $ 2 Mystery Shot — Y Not Just bring your cash, a few friends and good times. –Enjoy

Saw Local H here. Loved the intimateness. Not a huge venue and able to get up and personal with the band. Good craft beers on tap and attentive wait staff. Husker and Chiefs bar in fb season.

Nope. I don’t think so… I don’t think I’ll be back unless there’s an absolutely MUSTSEE show. Came here(for the first time) last night 06⁄09 for Devour the Day. Location/Layout/Ambiance: –strip mall sports bar that also hosts live music, pretty much nothing nearby in terms of food –all ages shows… :(at least it’s not a dry venue. Under aged patrons have to enter from the back of the building, cannot pass through the«bar area.» Area in front of stage designated as the all-ages portion, which is BS as mentioned in other reviews. The 21+ crowd is the one who Pub Rock is making money off of! We buy the drinks! We buy the merch! and yet we are the ones who are cloistered away from the stage. –cramped and hot, especially in the area in front of the stage, most of the fans were not on –smoking out front… in the parking lot… no patio or outdoor seating the be had –bathrooms were«OK» and relatively clean Staff: –didn’t really hit it off too well with the staff, much too grumpy and serious and unamused with life. The«bouncer» was a bit rude to one of my friends for no reason(but was nice to me), the bartender seemed like she’d rather be anywhere but there, and the first sound guy basically got kicked off his duties and replaced. The one bright spot was the guy who did the sales/tickets, he was bright and friendly and welcoming. –they started closing just before midnight, while there were a ton of people still there drinking. Why shoo customers out the door if you’re making money on them? I could see if it was 2AM, but it wasn’t even midnight! Drinks: -$ 4 domestic drafts/bottles… which means a PBR is $ 4 and a Bud Light is $ 4. I drink PBR because it’s supposed to be CHEAPER! –minimum $ 10 tab for credit cards(~3 drinks). Summary: I went to all ages show for $ 15 where I was miserably hot and bathing in teen funk smell, and banned from being within 25ft of the stage because I wanted to drink my beer. LAME. At least Devour the Day kicked a$$.

I came here to see The Dillinger Escape Plan on 4⁄27. It’s a small bar that decided to put in a small stage. I was surprised that security allowed people to crowd surf, since people jumping off the stage were dangerously close to hitting the lights and other ceiling fixtures throughout the show. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend going to see music here, unless it’s your favorite band(and then I would still recommend reconsidering).

One star because they are one of the only options left locally for underground bands… All ages shows suck. if you want to drink you have to stay in a certain area further away from the stage, where the merch is being sold, and the bathrooms. It should be the other way around let the kiddos have to be boxed in a certain area(like Crescent Ballroom does) who cares they aren’t buying drinks!.. The stage itself is in a box, literally the ceiling where the artists perform is like a foot above them… drink prices are ok if you get well spirits, watch out if not as I was quoted $ 8 for a Stoli/soda…wtf is this Vegas? Also if you want to smoke you have to go back out through the front of the venue and hang out in the parking lot(very ghetto)…overall it is too bad this place sucks as they do have some good artists being scheduled. unfortunately they just tried to take a little dive bar(formerly Chaser’s) and shoe-horn it into a concert venue, doesn’t really work…

So, so loud. You’ve gotta put some effort into your yelling if you want others to hear you. It’s a very small venue with the niche of a west-valley-dive-bar type of clientele – old guys listening to young guys attempt to play hard rock. Okay, the bands were okay I guess. I just don’t understand how such a small crowd of people can stand there so calmly while these performers are shredding as hard as they can. There’s a bar inside with all the essentials, but drinkers were definitely in the minority. This place was not very fun. But at least it was competent. Security was cool, and I could just play billiards if I got too bored with the show. Nothing about this place inspires me to return, but as a decent supporter of local arts that treated me well, I can’t give it anything lower than a three.

Not the greatest place to see live music but I appreciate the artists they are bringing in, the low price and the ability to stand right in front of the stage. Saw James Durbin last night. I’ve seen him before and he is awesome everywhere he performs. Thankful they let underage people in so I was allowed to take my 17 year old niece. Speakers could use some help.
