Right Honda

I’ve bought one car from Right Honda, and serviced several others there. I wont be back to buy or service any more cars.
My wife lost her fob key. I was quoted $ 180 to replace. That was a little high. I ended up getting a blank OEM fob key online for $ 30. When I asked Right Honda how much it would be just for the cutting and «programming» I was told it would be $ 100. I then looked up how much cutting would cost. $ 35 at a locksmith with a laser cuter? Sold. So I got the blank key cut and went to Right Honda just for the «programming». They told me it would still be $ 100. So I guess the market value of cutting is $ 0 and programming is $ 100?
I asked why it costs $ 100 to program the key. The service rep told me it took a whole hour of labor to do. I’ve seen youtube videos of people doing it in 1 minute so I deeply question the whole hour thing. I tried the Youtube method with no success (works up to 2013 models, I have a 2014). Still, $ 100 and and hour of labor to program it? Since I had little choice I agreed to do it. I waited at the dealership while they took my car back to program the key.
45 minutes later the service rep came out with a bunch of sheets suggesting that my car needed about $ 400 worth of work (leaking axle joint, etc). Wait a second, my car needed to be put on a lift and inspected from the underneath to program the key?
Or in reality they just insisted on me coming in for a 5 minute key programming and then spent an hour on my car doing an inspection which they charged me for, and so they could upsell me on a bunch of repairs.
Where’s the good will when a long time customer comes in asking for something minor? Is everyone who walks in the door a mark for an upsell on a bunch of additional repairs? Apparently so.
Adiós Right Honda. I’ll be taking my car somewhere else, and when I buy my next Honda it will be at any dealer but yours.

If you are looking for a great Honda dealership, head to Right Honda. They have the largest selection of cars and their staff is hands down the best — very friendly and genuine. We had a horrible experience with another local dealer and the process with Right Honda was perfection. Couldn’t be happier with their process. And if you are a Costco member, you can work with the Fleet sales –we saved over $ 5000 on the car and our salesperson was super! Highly recommend Right Honda. (Stay clear of Bell Honda!)

Update: tried to buy a new Pilot here but they wouldn’t meet the price of another dealer. Then all of a sudden they did but I was already in the process of getting one at Tempe. Salespersons were pushy or grumpy. Not to mention one left and went to Showcase but wouldn’t stop texting me. Glad I took my business elsewhere.
I only continue to come here because of the cheap oil change coupons. Last time I made the mistake of test driving a car while my car was getting serviced. Came back and was told I needed hundreds of dollars of work. Took my car to Rory’s Airpark Autotek to save money on the brakes I needed to replace ASAP only to find out brakes had 40−50% life left. Liars! Would never buy a car here!

Waited 30 minutes for them to bring my car around and they didn’t even do the work that I brought my car in for… I would give it zero stars but that’s not an option. Oh and the only thing they needed to do was check/​top-​off fluids under the hood.

This updated review is just to make clear that even though my last experience buying a car at Right Honda was terrible, their service department personnel has been always kind and professional.

They always take care of me here! I’ve leased my 2014 Honda Civic si for almost three years now and I’m definitely going to renew in October to the new one!
The service center is awesome. Every time I need an oil change or my brakes fixed, Honda always finds a way to go above and beyond for me! There is either a coupon waiting in my inbox or they find a way to give me a discount when I can’t find one! AJ is who usually helps me out and I only have positive words to write about how amicable and satisfactory he has been. They always deeper question any issues needing to be resolved and preform complimentary oil, brake and fluid checks which is fabulous! Honda is on top of things.
For example, I was having issues with my tire pressure, and they got to the bottom of the issue by finding a nail in my tire and patching it for me! (Money saved and problem solved :))
Another time, I had a front brakes coupon, but it was my back brakes that needed to be replaced and he applied a similar coupon and an additional $ 25 off from their website for me! No questions asked. The wait is usually fairly quick and I couldn’t ask for a better home base for my baby car.

Save your time and do not go here. They will give you the run around and fool you to get you in the door. They’ll tell you your credit score is higher than what it really is so it seems like they are giving you the best deal you can possibly get. Very pushy and will repeateadly say «if I can get you a good deal, will you sign today and give us your business?»
That’s all they care about, your signature on a paper so they earn commission. They don’t care about your financial needs, they just want you to sign for a car. Typical salesmen fulfilling the stereotype of a car salesmen.

What a fantastic experience! We used the Costco auto purchase program and it was so simple. Sean Corbett contacted us immediately and was easy to work with (and funny!) There was no nonsense, no back-​and-​forth; he was fair and also respected our schedule. Sean was patient showing us all the features of our new car (twice!) and made the experience a fun one. We drove off feeling fairly treated and confident in our decision. Highly recommended!

Great service here. I didn’t even have to schedule an appointment for an oil change on a Saturday. Dropping off my car was a breeze and they completed the job in a timely manner. But what I appreciated the most was that these guys were honest and didn’t try to upsell anything after the inspection. Thanks Right Honda!

I’m solely rating Right Honda on service and not on sales. I’ve had three sales experiences with them and I promised myself each time I would never purchase from them because each time was a stressful to bad experience. One the other side of that the service department gets my praises. I’ve always had good, reliable and friendly service from them. That being said service A+, sales D-.

Can’t trust them!!! Wish I could give ZERO stars. Yesterday I had my Cr-​V serviced at Right Honda. Scott one of the service directors brought out the inspection sheet and told me my front brakes were 2 mm and Rear was 3 mm and needed replacement then quoted the price and they could get it done right away. I declined because the price seemed high. I went to Sun Devil Automotive and price they quoted was $ 100 less so I scheduled service.
Today I took my car to Sun Devil Automotive. They put the car on rack and then asked me to come back. They showed me the rear was still over 5 mm and front 4 mm. They said replacement was NOT recommended.
On another Right service trip they told me the cabin air filter needed replacement. Once again the price seemed excessive. I went and bought a filter myself at half the price. When I took out the old filter it was still perfectly good. That should have been the alarm bell… I will never go back to Right Honda… can’t trust them.

Great service! The sales, service and staff rate 5 stars. The sales department is low key, never a high pressure sale. I walked in, explained what I wanted for a family member and pricing. Drove off 2 hours later, with the exact 2015 Honda Civic I was looking for, right off the delivery truck, at the price I wanted. The windows didn’t have the tinting and were promised verbally at the sale. Two weeks later an appointment was made without question to have it put on! I’ve been taking our 2014 Honda CRV to Right Honda for regular maintenance each trip to Arizona. Amazingly, it seems the CRV oil wrench times itself to come on perfectly upon arrival. If you are a women who purchases by herself, you will find this dealership to be a comfortable place to do business.

We brought our car in for a safety recall and we got our car back without the Honda emblem on the front bumper. They tried to deny it but once we argued with a few people, the manager said it must have washed off during the car wash? They replaced it but wowee they were difficult.

We were referred here via the Costco auto program, so we thought we wouldn’t get the runaround. Should have known better!
We had a specific certified pre-​owned Civic in mind. First, they tried to get us to take the same price that was listed on the website (which was well over Kelly Blue Book’s typical «certified pre-​owned asking price»), despite the Costco referral. I was only able to talk them down by a few hundred dollars.
I thought we’d be in the clear once it came to financing. Nope! We made the mistake of going through Honda Finance. We were quoted a particular APR, which I assumed was the best we could get given our imperfect credit. But then the finance guy starts talking about how they can «reduce» the APR if we purchase an extended warranty, security package, and «replacement» package (for several thousand additional dollars). So, wait, we actually qualified for a lower APR than you quoted us, and now you’re holding it hostage in return for these unneeded add-​ons?!
This is the third Honda dealer in the Valley that I’ve visited in the last 2 years. Yeah, they’re all a bit slimy. Right Honda is just a bit worse than the others.

Worst customer service.
Specially manager is worst and irritating. He intervened in discussion and standing on my head irritated me to an extent that I left the place. Disrespectful behavior wasted my time.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a dealership. I understand that I’m setting the bar low here, since it rarely goes well and it’s usually stressful, but Right Honda brought it to a whole new level.
Dropping off the car went fine. The shuttle driver was ready almost immediately and I was able to get to work on time.
The issues popped up as soon as it was time to get my car. I asked how long it would be to have the shuttle pick me up from two miles away. The driver told me he would be there in 20 – 25 minutes. I called an hour later to ask for a status update. He claimed he would be there in 5 minutes, as someone in the background kept saying in a very bratty voice «no you won’t, no you won’t.» Wow, how unprofessional!
5 minutes turned into 20 minutes and he called to say he had arrived. I mentioned that I had overheard his conversation and I caught him off guard. All he had to say was «oh, that was… about something else.» A likely story. He didn’t apologize for keeping me waiting, either.
I told the service cashier and manager about this, but nobody cared. Go ahead and let your employees behave like spoiled high school kids, you’ll continue losing customers, and the rest of us won’t have to worry about it.
Go to Earnhardt Honda if you have time. My experience was like night and day there. Right Honda was a massive waste of time and money.
Also, it doesn’t take too much effort to properly wash a car. Put down your phones and pay attention when a customer is in front of you.

Best buying experience I have had to date!
I worked with Steve Fabiano when I emailed Right Honda about an Accord my wife was interested in. I worked out my price, got pre-​approved and had a small window of time to come in and let my wife look and test drive. Steve accommodated us and we literally spent a total of 56 minutes at the dealership before walking away with a new car. Having Steve settle pricing and finance work before I walked in the door made this an extremely pleasant experience. Everyone there was great, with a special tip of the hat to the finance guy, Chris (I believe is his name) who was equally awesome.
I am a diehard Jeep guy but the Right Honda folks impressed me and I am definitely inclined to talk with them when I am looking for my next car. My wife, she is a loyalist to Honda and will absolutely go here for her next car.

I scheduled an apt. at 8am. I thought I had an issue with my alternator/​battery and Tpms system. I was told it would be 2 – 3 hours. I was still sitting there 2 hours later, no update on my car. I asked a guy to ask the man I met at the front, 15 minutes later got an update on my car. They said it would be another hr, 2 hours later I finally left. I was there 4 hours!!!
A bit after leaving my tpms system light went back on…
They did find that I needed new front brakes and battery.

Service department sucks. I had a problem with my navigation that they kept putting off. I finally called Honda corp. but by that time the warranty had expired. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do about it.
I would never buy a car from here much less get my car fixed here too. I’m sorry I have a Honda and this is the closest dealer to me. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want a Honda ever again.

Had a great car buying experience. We went through Costco auto and were directed to Kareem at Right Honda. As this was the second new Honda we purchased this year, I can definitely say that the car buying experience at Right Honda and with Kareem is much more pleasant than at other dealerships. Kareem was knowledgeable and easy going — definitely no pressure. We test drove the car (Honda CRV EX all wheel drive) on Tuesday and returned on Wednesday to buy. We got a fair price on my trade-​in and also on the car. Kareem was easy to communicate with through text as well. Thank you!
