I usually love Rocky Mountain chocolate factory and get a Carmel apple every now and again because it is so delish from the Arizona mills location. However I was very disappointed when I came to this location to get an apple because the apple itself was EXTREMELY grainy. The consistency is hard to explain it was almost like mushy when I bit into it. Also this location is more expensive than the other so I was really expecting the perfection I usually get but was so very disappointed. :(. The girls were nice but the product was still crap.

My boyfriend and I stopped by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to find a sweet evening treat. The staff member was helpful, and suggested the candy apples or the truffles. We tried the truffles: Birthday Cake, Mint Chocolate, Raspberry, and Milk Chocolate. The chocolate was creamy and full of flavor. There are many other treats we would like to try, and we will definitely be back! If you are looking for a sweat treat, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a great place to go!

I went out of my way to visit this Scottsdale Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory specifically for the milk chocolate covered rice crispy bars and this location didn’t have them, only carry a version with a little bit of chocolate drizzled on top. Lauren stepped up to the plate and made my visit worthwhile. She went out of her way to fulfill my chocolate needs and was gracious and patient in the process. I purchased a variety of chocolate treats and they were delicious. Lauren is a stellar employee who provided me with excellent customer service with the utmost professionalism and a great attitude!

One girl was talking to her friend and the friend’s mom so I had to re-stand in the line while a few others who walked in after me got waited on by the one poor girl trying to help everyone but she was pleasant. I loved my purchases, oreo fudge, mint oreo fudge and peanut butter in chocolate fudge. Crappy customer service wont keep me away from chocolate, I mean it will somewhat but I will go there again. Ill just make sure I stay away from the one girl and get in line for the other girl.

I used to remember getting Oreo-covered caramel apples when I was a kid from here and I hadn’t had one in years, I decided to buy one again in probably a decade(this time I tried one with confection sprinkles) and let me tell you, it was worth every freaking penny. $ 6 bucks for a caramel candied apple may seem pricey, but that was probably one of my most enjoyable eating experiences in a very long time. Plus, I think they’re practically the only place around that sells caramel candied apples. And of course, they have a huge array of chocolate items like chocolate-coated pretzels and fudge, and even sugar-free chocolate for diabetics. I’d love to try it all if only everything in sight wasn’t so calorie-laden. They also have a big cute stuffed bear that sits at the storefront wearing an apron. But seriously, you have to come here for the caramel candied apples they’re mind-blowingly delicious. Some varieties of their caramel candied apples: Oreo, sprinkles, M&M’s, Butterfinger, rocky road, apple pie, cheesecake, English toffee, peanut-covered, pecan-covered, neapolitan

Can’t say I know of any other chocolate shop that has chocolate covered gummy bears. I go there especially for these. I know it may sound weird(Gummy bears covered in chocolate?!) but I grew to develop a taste for them. That and their large white chocolate covered pretzels. Who can’t love a place with the word«chocolate» in their name? Oh and the caramel apples are to die for. Can’t go wrong. I won’t say the chocolate quality is the best(it can be a little on the waxy side), but for the price it’s well worth the splurge.

Whoever thought of dipping apples in Carmel and chocolate I praise you! Sure you just made your apple a day a bit unhealthier, but it’s still an apple! Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory features a wide assortment of delicious chocolate candies, and YES chocolate covered apples and strawberries. Obviously invented by a choc-a-holic, this place is heaven for a out of the ordinary sweet tooth craving. This would be a great place to pick up a outside of the box gift, hint hint guys! What girl doesn’t want some chocolate covered strawberries!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is everywhere. It’s seriously at every single mall– even Desert Ridge. I think it’s a good place to buy someone a gift, but as for just dropping by and getting chocolates or caramel apples for myself, it’s not really my thing. But if you have a chocolate lover to buy for, they really do have a huge assortment of everything cocoa. They have the standard boxed chocolates, truffles, hot chocolate, candied apples, chocolate apples, caramel apples… you name it, they have it. They also have a creepy bear that is always sitting outside of their store. I’ve never been able to figure out why. Maybe it’s to lure little children into the shop so their parents will have to buy them bags and bags of candy… If you like sugar-free chocolate, they have a good selection of that too.

Rocky Mountain Chocolates have several locations around the Valley, including Glendale, Outlets at Anthem, Paradise Valley Mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square, and Sky Harbor Airport, as well as in Tucson and Flagstaff. I’m not really«into» chocolate-covered apples, but the prep and presentation is pretty cool. First they dip the apples in bubbling-hot caramel mixture in a copper kettle. Then roll them in an array of sweet and crunchy toppings, such as chopped nutes & sprinkles. Then it’s dipped again in milk or dark chocolate, and finally they drizzle the whole thing with white chocolate icing. They also carry a selection of other chocolates, dipped strawberries, and homemade fudge.

Apples dipped in interesting and often multiple toppings. Ideal mall food.
