The grocery store is okay. I go there mostly for convenience. When I visited today, I bought some rainbow trout. I asked if they could fillet it for me. The guy helping me seemed new so he asked the butcher if they could. He was very rude and just said «no.» I took the fish anyway but was really disappointed in the customer service.

Amazing customer service! We moved to this area 5 years ago and been going to this Safeway since. They used to have really nice custom cakes but they stopped doing that. Not a biggie because they still carry great cakes at reasonable prices. Just recently I went there looking for gingerbread house kit. The store manager, Steve, told me they didn’t carry them in the store but asked for my name & number just in case he could get one for me. My phone rang the very next morning and true enough it was Steve to let me know that he was able to get one for me and saving it in his office for me! That’s just an amazing customer service. I’m now an even more loyal customer to this store.

I am SADDENED.
I have gone to this Safeway for 14 years, I have witnessed changes, I’m a «regular». I’ve never done ALL of my shopping here, but it’s my go-​to place when I need something fast. But I’m quite literally here 3 times a week.
No MORE.
They’ve changed it. I was worried about the business model with the Albertson’s/Haggen’s takeover, how would «our store» be affected. Well… it’s been affected.
LIGHTS LIGHTS, everywhere there’s lights! My organic section has been mixed in! The shelving is sky high! It’s HORRIBLE. It’s like a Wal-​mart. I LOATHE Wal-​mart. It looks identical to Albertson’s…I LOATHE Albertson’s too.
I’ll never go back again. Safeway has officially lost my business to Sprouts, & Fresh & Easy.

I get it… Not a GIANT store, but it’s clean and has mediocre variety. This store frustrates me time and time again when the employees «act surprised» when more than 1 or 2 lanes need to be opened. Too often I either wait in line for 10 minutes, or watch them scramble to call managers out of their office to briefly open a 3rd lane to handle the lines that block your way through the store! Insult to injury is I live right down the street, but it’s unbelievable to think I will have to drive out of my way to go 3 times as far to frys… Bummer. 5 out of 5 stars if they would hire more cashiers because the staff that IS working is usually very friendly.

It offers the same as most other stores… And as with everything sometimes prices are good and sometimes prices are bad

Screw these guys. They decide to expand their store and in the process kill a small business. The Mail Vault was closed with 2 days notice to accommodate their expansion. I am all for saving money on food, but I will never spend a dime there after they had shown their true colors. I don’t care if its the leasing companies fault, they managed to kill a the type of small business that supports the American economy. If I could post a huge middle finger to this company I would!

I don’t shop at Safeway much but when I do go there for a specific item, I always enjoy going into their store. Clean. The deli counter peeps seem to be really nice. Managers are a hoot.
Like I said before, I don’t shop Safeway often but I do like this one when I need a specific item.
