This is a great studio, with a classical ballet focus. The directors, Sibylle Acatos and Donald Dadey, were hand-picked by Balanchine for his company in Zurich, Switzerland. They had successful professional careers in Europe and the United States.
As teachers, they studied with Kee Juan Han, now the director of the School of the Washington Ballet, and two-time «Dance Magazine Teacher of the Year.» They’ve had their own studio for a number of years. One of their recent graduates is now with Ballet Arizona.
It’s a relatively small studio, where your child will get a lot of attention. The atmosphere is very welcoming to boys, as well.
