This place is terrible. Indifferent management and they raised rents for what I can’t tell. No improvements or refurbishments, the«security» is a joke. Creeps running around at all hours. Total ghetto living. Avoid moving here if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood with management that actually cares about the people who live on the property.

My fiancé and I have lived at Shadow Ridge for the last 7 months and we don’t have any complaints. The ladies in the front office have never been anything but helpful and polite to us. We love the location and the fact that Old Town Scottsdale is so close. We have had minor maintenance issues only a few times, and each time there was someone out to fix the problem within the hour. I read a review that spoke about the police being there so often it seemed like a police station. I have NEVER even seen a police car in the complex. Let alone see them so often they seem normal. We haven’t used the pool area, so I don’t have an opinion on that. The grill area was always clean, and nice when we used them. We use the laundry facilities at least once every week and there has only been a single time when one(of the 8) dryers was out of service. It was clearly marked, and fixed and working the next week when we went in to use it. The grounds are nice and kept up. The landscapers are there EVERY Monday morning mowing and trimming.(I know this, because most Mondays, they are my wake up call.) A professional tree-trimming company was just recently hired and came out and trimmed up all the trees in the complex. According to my neighbor who has been there much longer than we have, said it was much overdue. The a/c and heater both work fantastic and we’ve never had issues with either. Our water pressure is great and we have hot water for days. I feel like there’s a great sense of community here. I know every one who lives around me, and they are always stopping to talk whenever we have our dogs outside, or on the way to our cars. The parking lots are well lit and we’ve haven’t ever had a problem with vandalism. All in all I think Shadow Ridge is a great place to live. Can I hear the people above me? Sometimes, yes. Can I hear when people use the stairs to go upstairs? Yes. But I think that’s just part of apartment living. If you move into an apartment under the impression that you’re NEVER going to hear your neighbors, you’re delusional.

Terrible and untrustworthy, the staff make it worse There is a bunch of kids that hang out in the back making trouble, They have stolen many bikes and vandalized cars, It looks a lot nicer than it is, You can do better for the price, Staff will charge you very high prices for minor damages in apartment, It’s really not fair, I’ve lived many places and always had a great track record, what these people do is wrong and you should not live here

if you enjoy being inconvenienced for imaginary cockroach problems, unfriendly customer service, unsubstantiated and arbitrary rent increases, hot pools, broken BBQs, faulty A/C(I went 2 hellish nights in June and July w/o it because of mechanical problems), then be their guest. Yes, the location is nice, but they have an overinflated sense of their own chic-ness(probably just because they’re technically located in Scottsdale), and act like everyone in the world wants to live here, and that’s probably why 2 rent increases in a year and a half. They just want your $$$, they’re not interested in giving outstanding service. The maintenance guys and Bob are nice, though. Rent at your own risk.
