Definitely the best. Even despite the mass amount of people that are always in line this Starbucks is always fast AND friendly.

One of my favorite Starbucks around. Always great service, reliable Wi-Fi, ample comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this Starbucks.

Starbucks are usually pretty standard service/coffee, but today I stopped in to use my free birthday reward. These expire ONE day after your birthday. I didn’t know, but the cashier was lovely enough to give it to me anyhow. I truly appreciate the guest service!

This Starbucks in Kierland Commons has an excellent staff of baristas that offer stellar customer service!!! They have to endure some challenging and demanding customers to say the least, often in a tight schedule, and they do an excellent job of providing the timely customer service needed!

This is place is always packed! It draws people with laptops in. You order and have barely enough place for you to stand to wait for your drink. The other patrons are mostly pretty rude. The grab whatever drink they think it is theirs. The staff has been very friendly.

If you use the mobile ordering… beware. Depending on who is working you might have to wait 10 minutes for your order. Went a couple of days apart and different times of the day… Other times mobile ordering is on point. Just depends on the quality of the barista I guess. Other Starbucks do not seem to have this issue… just pls be more aware of the mobile customers. UPDATED: Much better on the mobile ordering… looks like the current baristas are on point. Have mobile ordered several times since my review and am confident enough to state it’s been fixed. Thank you!

I really like this Starbucks. The service is always quick and friendly and their is plenty of exterior seating, including outdoor sofas as well as traditional metal tables. The problem is that while the interior is spacious and very well appointed, it’s really difficult to get a seat inside. I suppose we can’t fault them for their popularity though!

While some of the staff are somewhat friendly, the other half of the staff here are rude, short with you and dismissive. I’ve been here probably 25 – 30 times and it’s odd that it’s such a mixed bag. I’ve been here on several occasions where the employees are more concerned with pre-closing and getting chores done so they can leave. I’ve pretty much never had a drink made correctly here and shots are killed /dead 85% of the time. I love Starbucks, and if it weren’t for this stores great location I wouldn’t ever come back. My thoughts go to the few employees at this location that do try hard, my guess is poor management.

A perfect Starbucks outting is quick and efficient. Some Starbucks brew a slightly burnt coffee. This one consistency has delicious brew and can get me in and out in minutes. Thanks again team! Could probably change the trash out more often, people go for the recycle bin but it’s usually full so they default to the trash side. No biggie.

My favorite Starbucks in the area — best staff, and they do get a crowd because of it, but it’s worth it.

Paid 3 $+ for black iced tea and got a cup 90%full and 90% of that was ICE. If I wanted ice with a splash of tea I’d ask for ice with a splash of tea. Maybe the kids who work here could be taught the value of a dollar and make a drink properly. The best part was watching the child who made my drink pour out the rest that was in the shaker instead of topping off my drink. Pathetic.

I’ve been coming to this particular Starbucks for years. It’s in Kierland which is convenient. Mostly, I find it a place for people watching. It’s always crowded and the lines are long. The customer service isn’t great, not friendly at all. Drinks are usually correct, but I have even had iced coffee with milk get screwed up. Really… coffee, milk then ice. It’s not that difficult. The reason I’m writing a review right now is because of a particularly strange experience last night. My boyfriend and I came in for an Americano. The strange, socially awkward barista completely left us at the register, with no one in line, her back turned to us while she busied herself pouring coffee from pitcher to pitcher. She said to wait. We were waiting 5 min! I think whatever she was doing could’ve waited until she took are 2 orders. Someone else finally came to take or order. It was completely rude and annoying. Starbucks should really chose their employees a little better. People skills are important. Customers should come first.

This Starbucks isn’t bad, it’s just always insanely busy. That being said, I’m still here! For those of us in North Scottsdale who work from home, this is definitely a convenient spot. Seating can be hard to come by, especially before 10 am, so plan accordingly. Make sure you keep an eye out for your drink and who was in front of you because sometimes people walk off with drinks that aren’t theirs and you end up waiting forever.

This place used to be great. But lately it’s almost always a mess. Furniture and chairs strewn around, overflowing garbage cans and old newspapers laying around are the norm.

Super busy and pretty dirty!!! Huge trash pile with 2 overflowing trash cans. The bar where you pick up your drink was sopping wet with ??? My friend and I met here and we saw a nice lady with a hermes birkin! Seriously, class up Starbucks! The women’s restroom also had no tp! Really nice touch.

A large and always-busy location, the Starbucks at Kierland has a reputation as the«pickup» Starbucks, as in, it’s a great place to meet and perhaps find a spark with fellow coffee lovers. The pre-work line can get long, but behind the counter they move fast. I’ve set up shop a few times to work and haven’t had trouble finding a spot, usually against the wall for some good people watching(no Prince Charmings though)! The last dirty chai latte I had from this location was overly milky, so that’s clouding my mind right now! If you are a foufy drink aficionado, check it out, but if you’re a purist, save some money and head around the corner to Chloe’s for 50 cent hot or iced coffees and fantastically unique muffins and scones.

I have been to Starbucks all over this wonderful continent of ours… and this may be one of the best of them all. So let me set the scene for you because for you TRUE Starbucks fans you will understand what I am saying. Picture yourself walking into Starbucks… the smell of the coffee drinks being made… dimly lit room… tables and chairs for all of those who want have there latte’s,…tea…coffee…iced coffee… mocha’s…pastries…ipads…laptops…cellphones…etc…Then BLAMTHOSEHUGELINES… PEOPLEWALKINGBETWEENYOUANDOVERYOUBECAUSETHECOUNTERISRIGHTNEARBYANDYOURLIKEARRRRRRRHHHHH. However those days are a thing of the past at this location. There is plenty of outdoor seating… nice dimly lit room as usual… tons and I mean tons of space and outlets for that matter for you to get digitally plugged in no matter what kind of device you have… and then BLAM… ooooohhhh wait I got ya there… LOL. There is no BLAM because the«digital» space you have to work with is at least 20 feet from the counter… and while it does get busy here… you won’t really notice a crowd unless your absolutely paying attention to the crowd only. The service is awesome… the coffee drinks are awesome as always… and trust me they really do keep the line moving. I was really impressed with the size of this location… I have not seen one bigger… I was also impressed with all of the«digital» space and outdoor seating… have not seen more anywhere… I was also impressed with the service… I was also impressed… WAIT…I think you get my drift… I WASIMPRESSEDPERIOD. This Starbucks has shot up to #1 on my list of Starbucks locations… if you know one better anywhere in the country… with the exception of the one at Starbucks Headquarters… LOL…please let me know… and as always continue to Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!

So, at this point we’ve all formed an opinion of what we think of Starbucks coffee? Either it floats your boat or doesn’t. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, I was use to a wide selection of different coffee places, Tully’s and Peet’s(where it all began) for example; or any of the number of small coffee shacks that seem to be on every corner in greater Seattle. But here in the Valley, unless you’re willing to track down a Fry’s Marketplace to find a Tully’s, you’ll need to settle for Starbucks. Now that I’ve gotten that out out of the way, I have a love hate relationship with this Starbucks location. I come here several times each day, or to the Press Coffee across Scottsdale Road. The Baristas are great, very friendly and rarely if ever get my order wrong. What is frustrating is what I call the Internet moochers. Because of Starbuck’s free WiFi policy, there is never a place to sit inside and enjoy your drink and read the paper. Or, God forbid, getting up and ordering a refill. People will pounce on that seat! It was different before they changed the policy and made WiFi free. Don’t get me wrong, some days it’s actually pretty good. But for the most part it’s a bear getting a seat and what is the capacity here? 50, maybe 75? That’s a lot of customers drinking Mr. Schultz’s version of Peet’s coffee! So I would guess this is one of the largest, certainly most profitable stores in the greater Phoenix area. Why change the business model if it isn’t broken, right? Well in the beginning, when Mr. Schultz took over the marketing at Peet’s, he wanted to recreate that coffee house feeling that he found in Paris. The feeling I have here is of a college library on caffeine. A lot of laptops open, but not a lot of coffee being drank. So, if you’re on the run and just want to grab a Cup of Joe, then this is your best bet in the Kierland area. But, if you want to order your brew, sit down and read the paper, or just enjoy a conversation with your neighbor — try Press Coffee across Scottsdale Road and the real life version of Frogger getting there. Now, that will get your heart racing!
