Excellent restaurant! Great service! Romantic atmosphere. Probably the best carbonara I ever had! The gnochi was also really fantastic! Definetely try the burrata, the mozarella is absolutely authentic and amazing! Highly recommended!

I don’t know which is better… The ambiance, the service, or the food… All of which are over the top exceptional. The Cod Fritters, Scallops, Gnocchi, Salmon… Delicious. The drink selection… Fantastic. And the dessert… The cheesecake… There are no words. I wish I could personally thank each and every staff member who made my husbands birthday perfectly unforgettable.

Wow. What a great find. I would never eat at a hotel restaurant, but this place had good reviews and it is a goldmine. Hot bread was fantastic. Chef made pasta for the carbonara was excellent, the flavor came through the whole dish. A must order is the braised veal. It really did melt in your mouth and there was a LOT of meat. Save room for dessert. Very unique tiramisu since it is in a chocolate shell and they pour chocolate over the top until it collapses — but the lady fingers are still light and cake like. This is a must have. Since one is not enough we ordered the hot bread pudding with gelato. Again, it was a home run. Perfect balance between hot and cold and no overkill on sweetness. The service was excellent and the bonus came in the form of a wine sale. Our bottle was only $ 22.50 and it was a pleasant surprise. We like heavy reds and this one hit like a red, but finished clean and dry which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. All this for under $ 100. By the way, we stayed at the Doubletree two block away.

Excellent! We went there on December 25, with the whole family. It is a great place to be, great ambient, great food, great service. The kids loved it because they had their food first and it was … Well what are they going to complain about Italian food? They loved the pizza and pasta. We had the menu and it was soo good. I had the in house made Gnocchi -… To die for! I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Nice décor, very obviously a Kimpton, which isn’t a bad thing per se, friendly service, great gnocchi, spaghetti and scallops! Wine was good and gelato and sorbets were tasty, Tiramasu was drenched in extra chocolate which would delight some diners but I am a purist!

So I had a business dinner here last night. Had never been to Taggia nor Firesky. Loved the ambiance first of all. Perfect for this time of year! Our waiter, Cain, was awesome. Super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I asked him for recommendations and he almost named the whole menu! We ended up ordering the Burrata, Calamari and the Gnocchi as appetizers for 6 of us. They were all incredible. Especially the Burrata. I’ve had grilled Calamari before and it was tasteless and chewy… but this was not. Super flavorful and tender. So good! For dinner I had the Capesante. The pairing of the sweet potato purée(I hope thats what it was), roasted sweet corn and the saltiness of the perfectly seared scallops was amazing! The avocado relish was a great addition as well. Im so going to master this dish on my own and add it to my favorites! Cheers to the staff and the Chef. I will be back!

Food is amazing! Everything we had in our whole group was really good. Our server Will knew everything about the menu and had great suggestions! His service is amazing and he is really passionate about his job! The grilled calamari is a must try!

This restaurant is part of a hotel resort, so expect to hear the heavy bootstraps of head office. The food was excellent, on the lighter side of Italian cuisine with grilled seafoods and meats. Soups and salads were imaginative, and delicious. Good wine selection. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, but it was evident they were working really hard at it. The effusive descriptions of the menu, hearty endorsements seemed disingenuous. I think they are accustomed to a high-maintenance clientele. At first The ambience was superb, a quiet patio with quiet conversation, some kids playing around the nearby pool, A desert breeze and birds singing at twilight. For Some reason, however, some Maison Avenue marketing consultant has decided everyone has to listen to piped in music. That insipid, rhythmic, upbeat synthesized«Eurofag» music seems to be everywhere. If I am In the desert Southwest in the early evening, with great food, and genuine service I am having an exceptional experience. This place has everything it needs, it is just being overworked.

My wife and I stayed at the FireSky Resort where Taggia is the resort’s signature restaurant. The Ambiance is modern with low warm lighting — subdued, relaxed and romantic. Taggia just begs you to unwind . Breakfast spans the gamete. I absolutely love the fresh fruits yogourt plate — a granola base topped with Balkan Style plain yogourt and a health helping of blackberries, strawberries and blueberries topped with honey. Really big serving, probably best for two — I ordered a half size. I Really enjoyed the turkey, swiss and bacon topped with a delicious avocado spread, with a side of mixed green salad topped with a citrus sauce — light, yet filling fare, on hot and Scottsdale afternoon. My wife enjoyed the fresh fried calamari with freshly misted lime sauce. Taggia’s only downside — it’s price tag :-)

After a quick walk around old town, we couldn’t find a decent Italian place to eat so headed back to our hotel and Taggia as a final resort. The waitress was fantastic and 50% off close out bottles of wine made it that much better. I was a little disappointed in the lack of menu options. Three or four pasta dishes with the same number of main entrees but a large selection of brick oven pizzas. No bolognaise or chicken parm or anything similar. The salmon entrée was really good though. Next time i will spend more time looking for a better Italian spot on Scottsdale road.

Having spent only the weekend here, we just finished our second meal… which was lunch. Coming from a city where restaurants are competitive and dynamic, Taggia is able to compete with the best of them. Our evening meal consisted of homemade pasta, and a fresh mozzarella di bufala salad. Wow! Now I have been to virtually every restaurant that the food network has recommended, and I must say this place is a little gem. The food, the waitstaff, the management, and definitely the wine, make this place a worthwhile visit when in the neighborhood. Five stars. And I mean that!!! Definitely save room for the Tiramisu!!!

8÷22÷15 They really have a great chef here and I can’t say enough about the wonderful dining experience we had. This was the best meal we had during our entire stay in Scottsdale. Seth was our waiter, and he could not have delivered better service. He knew the menu inside and out, offered suggestions, and was always two steps ahead of anything we might need. We started with the grilled calamari, which was light, unique and prepared perfectly. We both ordered the New York strip loin and we were surprised by the heavy portioned sides and the quality cut of meat. Our food was plated nicely, at perfect temp and full of flavor. We finished with the Tiramisu for dessert and were brought glasses of champagne to toast to our anniversary.(Very thoughtful gesture) Every employee in that restaurant made us feel welcome. The chef touched our table twice, as well as the manager. We left happy, full, and raving about our experience. We will be back to Scottsdale and this restaurant will be first on our list. One surprising note: we asked several FireSky staff members where we could get fabulous dinners during our stay. Not one suggested Taggia. We took this as a bad sign and put off trying the restaurant until our last night in town when we decided we didn’t feel like venturing out. Our only regret this week was not trying it first! They should most definitely be promoting their home base restaurant.

Had the 3 course lunch here with friends. The service was great and the food was even better. The desserts and pasta was amazing. My favorite part was being available to sit outside and feed the ducks! The ducks just walked up to our table and were friendly. The cocktails are wonderful to!

Stylish hotel restaurant located in the Firesky Resort. We dined here for Valentine’s Day 2015. We were staying at the hotel but I booked the restaurant before I knew it was a hotel restaurant based on the strong ratings I saw on Unilocal. Unfortunately our experience did not measure up to the great reviews but I think this is largely due to the«special» Valentine’s Day tasting menu that was offered instead of the standard full menu. Perhaps the chef had a hot date because the tasting menu was rather disappointing and made me wonder who was watching over the kitchen. The written description was tantalizing but the actual food pretty pedestrian. The first course offered an antipasto assortment of three treats in clouding crostini, prosciutto and shrimp with spicy sauce. The reality was a thin piece or generic French bread slathered with guacamole, a fat cold asparagus spear wrapped thickly with grocery store prosciutto and a 1 plain small cold shrimp with a sauce that clearly used ketchup as its base. The next course offered a choice and we chose the mozzarella salad with fresh tomatoes. This wasn’t half bad but had much too much mozzarella and was too large for us to finish. For our main course we ordered the grilled steak instead of the seafood risotto which was over cooked(medium well instead of medium) and rather low quality. It did come with a nice sauce on the side which livened it up a bit. The final course, dessert, was there take on campfire s’mores — a small bowl of melted chocolate a couple of strawberries 2 toasted marshmallow and 4 soggy graham crackers(clearly done ahead and sitting in the refrigerator).

We only ate here for breakfast(4x) and lunch(2x) while guests at the Firesky, so the following does not apply to dinner: Food was good or better but varied a bit. Overall I would say it was on par for a boutique hotel. The green/cactus juice drinks were notably good and soothing different from the average hotel. Biggest gripe was the overly casual and vaguely indifferent service: we had three different servers over the 4 day stay there, and despite the relatively empty restaurant, they always seemed a bit lazy. Like just bringing over a pile of table settings and putting them on the edge of the table — rather than actually setting the table. Excusable at a TGIF(sort of) but not here.

Taggia is an Italian restaurant located in Firesky Resort, Scottsdale. It has a beautiful, unique location around a wonderfully decorated lake. The lighting is romantic. Service and food was impeccable. We ordered pizza, pasta, and cocktails. Everything tasted fresh and the food was aesthetically pleasing. We are looking forward to coming back again.

Good food. We enjoyed the grilled calamari and the prosciutto pizza. The pesto orecchiette was cliché but tasty. Service was pretty quick close to closing time. Not a bad place to stop for a nice dinner!

Taggia is located in the Firesky Resort and Spa. My relatives and I came to Taggia’s for an authentic Italian cuisine. Our table was in a semi private dining room. On the table, there was a tea light candle within a candle holder. On one of the walls in the dining room, there was cabinet with a bowl of decorative grapes and a large wall mirror behind it. Our server(Seth) was wonderful. He offered great suggestions for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The server brought us two baskets of bread that consisted of a white roll topped with sesame seeds and a wheat roll. It came with two dipping sauces — balsamic vinaigrette and extra virgin olive oil. For drinks, I’d recommend a bottle of The Crossings — 2014 Sauvignon Blanc from Awatere Valley, Marlborough. The Arnold Palmer which consisted of freshly squeezed lemonade and freshly brewed ice tea and garnished with a lemon slice. For appetizers, I’d recommend the Mista, Crudo, and Calamari. The Mista consisted of organic greens(spring mix and baby spinach), golden and red beets, and porcini soil smoked goat cheese tossed in a truffle-honey vinaigrette. The beet salad was light and refreshing. I liked how the truffle in the vinaigrette was not overpowering. The goat cheese was silky smooth. The Crudo consisted of pepper crusted ahi tuna, cooked medium rare, served over red pepper/celery salsa, and topped with black olive gremolata, radish, and lemon. The Calamari consisted of marinated chilled squid salad, topped with avocado mousse, marcona almonds, crispy pancetta, celery, carrots, red radish, and parsley. I think the Calamari was marinated in lime juice. For entrees, I’d recommend Pesce Spada, Branzino Striato, Capesante, and Spaghetti Bolognese. The Pesce Spada consisted of grilled, tender swordfish, cut into three pieces, cooked to medium to medium well, served in sweet carrot purée with seasoned organic baby carrots, roasted white corn, avocado salsa(avocado, red onions, cilantro, parsley), drizzled with caper gremolata, and garnished with braised thyme leaves. The Branzino Striato consisted of pan seared striped bass, cut into two pieces, stacked one on top of the other, served in pea purée with braised kale and quinoa, and garnished with an artichoke vinaigrette. I liked how the artichoke vinaigrette was subtle. The Capesante consisted of three seared jumbo sea scallops served over a creamy risotto with asparagus, caper, and herbs. The Spaghetti Bolognese consisted of thin spaghetti covered in a marinara sauce with ground beef and garnished with melted Parmesan, freshly grated parsley, and roasted tomatoes. The kid at the table ordered a Hawaiano pizza but substituted the jalapeño for bacon. The pizza had tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, smoked ham, crispy bacon, and large pickled pineapple. The pizza looked delicious but I couldn’t try it due to my pork allergy. For dessert, I’d recommend Tiramisu and Zabaglione. The Tiramisu consisted of a dark chocolate crust, mascarpone cheese, and lady fingers and topped with a warm chocolate sauce. The Zabaglione consisted of a light lavender infused Italian cream served with mixed berries(blackberries, strawberries, blueberries) and topped with cocoa nibs. The cocoa nibs gave the dish a nutty flavor. The kid at the table ordered a mixed berries sorbet which came in three scoops. For teas, they have a variety of Mighty Leaf teas. I ordered an Earl Grey with Half and Half and Sugar. The steeped loose leaf tea came in a red Forlife teapot and a yellow mug. It was a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place to others!!!

Taggia is a restaurant located inside the Firesky Resort, Scottsdale. As cool as the resort itself, Taggia offers sophisticated atmosphere and food options. We had Italian omelet and waffle for breakfast, which was a nice starter of a long day. A nice thing is that they have outside seats facing the main pool, and there resort guests with dogs were chilling out. Really comfy.

This is my second visit to Taggia. Both times I ordered the Capesante and both times it was delicious. The scallops were perfectly seared and went very well with the bed of risotto, capers and asparagus. Service was also a highlight as Lauren was informative, fun and delightful. I look forward to my next visit to Taggia.
