The Quintessential Bride and Formal Wear

This is such a beautiful store with gorgeous dresses! The owner is a lovely lady who went out of her way to help me find the perfect dress for a special night out for the holidays. I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for except I didn’t want the typical little black dress. I am so glad I checked out the Quintessential Bride and Formal because they have a lot of unique and affordable dresses. I was torn between two and couldn’t decide. The owner was so nice and not pushy and she totally understood my need to «sleep» on it. So after a few days I came back and got my awesome dress!!! OMG! I wore it on New Years and it rocks! I swear they should sell a red carpet option with each dress because I felt like such a movie star! Totally recommend this place and will buy again next time I need a fancy dress. I got a beautiful dress her at a really great price. Everything was a great experience… The first day only. After I purchased my dress the owner asked if I would like a swatch of my dress material to use to pick out shoes. I didn’t necessarily need one but I figured if she had it than sure. A few weeks later I go in for a fitting. The swatch had been cut from the bottom front of my dress! Most wedding shoes are tall so it took me 3 months to find shoes but even then my dress was TOO SHORT! But wait there’s more! My dress had been a sample so it was filthy according to the owner it couldn’t be washed or it would lose its sheen. Next: my veil. I ordered a long apricot colored veil to match my dress. Well weeks later when it finally shows up its WHITE I mean burning your eyes white. She proceeded to try to convince me that it matched. With my mother step dad and a stranger to back me up I did NOT want it. So of course she’s upset and now will not refund my $ 100 deposit but it can be used for store credit. With so little things in her store there were few options and those options were triple the price of anywhere else. Needless to say I took my dress and did NOT use her alterations lady. My aunt beautifully successfully cleaned and altered my dress and tapered the short front to try and hide where the owner had hacked into my dress. Do I have to say it? Um no I would not recommend this boutique.
