John Mulligan still did not address the practice of pre paying thousands of dollars with no refund policy if someone is discharged for exhibiting symptoms of this disease. Just who decides how much humility is acceptable? The house manager, the operations guy, the residents… because all have differing opinions, clearly, as my son learned! Yes, people relapse, but ironically, he has accepted people back who have used & sold in the house, but are willing to pay additional money to stay! I will not be recommending this place as their practices are not benefiting families who are in desperate situations to help their loved ones. It’s about getting the most $ they can squeeze from vulnerable families.

My opinion is: This is such a traumatic time in the client and their families lives, It makes me sick that people take advantage of others so desperate for help. Due yourself and your pocket book a favor and run away from this sober living. Unfortunately the beautiful setting is luring and deceptive I feel John Mulligan is doing an incredible disservice to those in need of an honest, caring sober house He and his manager gave us all kinds of reassurance that our son would be dealt w fairly. They failed to mention that we could pay month to month. Our son left after a month and John kept the the additional 3 grand that we needed to use towards another sober living. He said it s to get clients to commit to the program. I feel that the management was so oppressive it s unlikely that most client could stay the course This ends up being convenient for the house to kick them out or the client leaving and the house keeps the cash. I feel John Mulligan and staff were not honest w us yet that’s the first thing they preach
