Wally’s Pub and Grill

I usually don’t eat at a bar/​grill, but it was friend’s birthday and her choice. Good choice! Yeah, it’s a little on the loud side, but the food was wonderful. My friend had the prime rib dip and I had the Cuban. We each took half of ours home. Not only very generous portions, but delicious. Service was good, but could have been a little better. On the whole, I would definitely go back and recommend Wally’s to anyone.

First time that I had visited Wallys. Their clientele is obviously older, «60+», no issues with that, just wasn’t the best place to visit for a birthday party for a younger crowd. The manager showed no class in how he dealt with our large group, at one point telling one of the ladies in our group to, «Not come back». Unless you’re celebrating a retirement or 60+ birthday, probably not the place to go.

I came into Wally’s last night for dinner with my wife and another couple. We were seated at a large round table in the corner on the patio. Our server Candy was amazing! What a gem she is. I have never had a more remarkable server. Seated next to us was a very large rambunctious group of ladies (if I can even call them ladies). The disgusting display of disrespect towards Candy was something I have never seen before. They were behaving like they were in a night club and to watch them bark orders at her and to treat her as if she was a slave to them was horrifying. But even more astonishing was how Candy carried herself through it all. That smile never left her face. I hope those women wake up today feeling completely ashamed of themselves, especially the one who did all of this in front of her teenage sons. I hope I never see any of the women in Wally’s again and no server here ever has to go through what Candy went through.

No words except this place SUCKS! Horrible service and staff is rude!
This casual eatery with a neighborhood vibe is very close to my neighborhood and I am very disappointed to experience such rude management!
I have visited this place twice and it is not worth my time to go into details but trust me and stay away!

Could not believe the lack of service here and the disrespect we received from the manager. We were here for a girlfriends birthday and had the worst experience and the general manager was a complete A$$ whole! Will Never return!!!

By far the best place to eat and drink in Scottsdale. Fantastic food and great prices. Friendly staff and home cooking. Something for every taste and it’s all good. The pot roast is amazing. Great wine and beer selection. Fun atmosphere for lunch or dinner. Can’t miss anytime day or night. Delicious specials served hot and fresh.

EXCELLENT! Service was great and happy hour the best I’ve had in a long time. We had the blue cheese escargot (really terrific) and the ribs are not to be missed.
We’ll be back… often.

Just ate at Wallys … Again. While always delicious and service is awesome today my server and appetizer was amazing. I had the wings… Without sauce and served with all sauces. I seriously embarrassed myself because I could not stop eating them! So good! Order like the menu says… Fried crispy and sauce on the side. I didn’t get my servers name but she was superb. Friendly, engaging but on point. She even brought me a glass of ice and a spoon so I could add a cube to my wine. What a really nice way to end the day before heading home.

Food was not very good. Calamari was not good. Burger was okay. I asked for a side of mayo and when the server brought it out she stopped and said wait… not sure if I brought the right thing. Then she smelled it and then handed to me and asked if I would taste it to make sure. Staff was nice. Hummus was not good. I guess we caught them in a bad day. The other location was great.

Just arrived into town, wasn’t sure what to expect. It was Happy Hour & the crowd was older. The service was outstanding & the Burger was out of this world. Highly recommend sharing it…

My husband and I are from Gilbert staying in Scottsdale for a staycation. Decided to try Wally’s out. We are so glad we did. The food was phenomenal, the service remarkable, the atmosphere awesome. My hubby said it’s his new favorite place. We will be back for sure.

Watch for the long blonde hair in your food. Mine came with a ‘strand du jour’. YIKES!!! Management needs to pay attention to the health code. This was my first and last visit
to Wally’s. The Valley has many other choices.

Fantastic from start to finish. We had a wally burger, chili, salmon and the berry salad.
Everything was peppered and served as it should’ve been.

I’ve worked next door to the Wally’s location and have been to Wallys several times over the years for lunch. I think their food is fantastic and their best burger on the menu is definitely the blue cheese burger. I highly recommend it if you’re a blue cheese fan. I love the atmosphere, that English pub style and in the evenings this is definitely a popular spot for locals.
Another nice point of interest about to Walleys is their location. Outside of a busy commercial shopping area Wallys is privately located in the Gainey Ranch residential area.

I had a to-​go order of the fish and chips and it was very delicious! The transactions was quick and the food was plentiful and delicious! The fish were three very large portion and the fries were in a sizable paper bag.
Highly recommended.

Hands down best service and bar food (5 diamond English pub food). Convenient location right off double tree, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Come one (to the bar) come all to the restaurant!

Exceptional burger. I had the Rodeo style bacon cheese burger and asked about tater tots. I saw them in a Unilocal picture. She said «We have tots today» like it was a secret. Tots and massive burgers make me very happy! My wife also loved her Guinness and Onion soup. Great service as well.

Food is true comfort and massive portions. The upside is an extra large patio and pub style bar area. One solid piece of heaven is the Chinese chicken salad. Make sure you get a side if franks red hot on the side.
I’ve been here so many times I can’t count, and it is always consistent in quality and service.

I was inclined to offer Wally’s three stars based on its being clean and comfortable and based on fast and courteous service, despite the disappointing food, but I can’t do it – I just feel so «fooled». A restaurant that looks like this should have a real cook.
Now if your thing is frozen or pre-​prepared ingredients dropped into a deep fryer or popped into a heating device, Wally’s is for you. Perhaps they actually cook something from scratch, but, if so, I don’t know what it is. Now I could be mistaken but I don’t think so – my fish and chips was not hand-​dipped fresh cod; I am almost certain is was prebattered frozen product taken from a bag or box and dropped into a deep frier — mushy and lacking crunch. Ditto for my wife’s panini — the chicken pieces in which tasted like boiled and bagged stuff (I don’t like to use the «g» word).
As I say, I could be wrong, but if so, then Wally’s has bigger problems. If they are using fresh ingredients, cooked and prepared to order, then they really need new cooks.
On the plus side, the french fries were decent and the beer was cold and not overpriced. Inside seating is limited, so if it is too hot for the patio, you may have trouble getting a table. No big loss.

Place is upscale no doubt. nothin much under 10 bucks. and it’s nice inside. seat yourself. The hardwood chairs suck, very uncomfortable chairs. i recommend the booths!
I got the Bacon cheddar Burger with fries.
Place filled up really quickly, and since I’m only one person. I was forgotten quickly after i ordered… took awhile but the food finally came out, and the fries were cold. also had to go to the bar twice to get a refill on my iced tea. definitely felt very unimportant and lost all that hope of any decent service
won’t recommend this place for it’s service or food. the burger was ok, nothing special for the price paid.
