I purchased from this store twice now, both times buying jewelry and pottery. John, the owner, has been cordial and helpful on both occasions. We did have to return a ring for repair a few weeks after purchase and in only two days I’ve received a call that it’s repaired and ready for pickup. I’ll continue to buy from Zaman’s until I’m treated differently but not convinced that there is a chance of that.

I love this place … i have been shoping here over 3 years now… and i will always come back.
I bought a 18 k yellow gold earing two years ago… and last time i was wearing it i drope it and a stone fall off.
i called john and he was so nice to me … i shipped the earing to him and he fixed it and shipped it back.
The best customer service ever …

I was visiting Scottsdale and came across Zaman’s Gifts and really enjoyed this unique store that has beautiful pieces of art and jewelry. I picked out a piece of pottery and the owner was so knowledgeable about who and how it was made and I never felt any sales pressure. I also got an 18k gold ring for my wife that she absolutely loved and wears all the time and gets tons of compliments on it.

I disagree with those who had bad experiences here. I stopped in on a whim with no plans to purchase jewelry when I recently visited the area. John was friendly and welcoming as I took my time to peruse the many options available in the store. I finally chose a beautiful mystic topaz which he offered to have sized and ship to me. The ring arrived quickly but after wearing it, I noticed a small flaw that wasn’t immediately evident when I chose it. After contacting him to explain, he offered a replacement piece that I had also looked at the store. The replacement quickly arrived, sized just for me and is a very elegant ring that I constantly get compliments on when I wear it. I hope to make more purchases here during future visits to the area.

I agree. The owner is a complete lunatic. My girlfriend and I walked in and were in a conversation as we were looking at the jewelry. We were not even in the store for two mins when he started mocking us, saying we sounded like clucking chickens gabbing away (we were actually talking in a low serious tone about the death of her husband) and I said «excuse me?!». He then said people shouldn’t be talking in his store nor wearing sunglasses (it was 98 degrees outside). I said he should put that as a requirement on his window store if that’s what he expected and said we would most definitely leave as he was rude. He followed us out the door as we walked onto the sidewalk and started yelling «stupid cunts». We complained to two store owners next to him and they said that indeed there are tons of complaints about him by tourists. Why is this man still in business? He also said women in china aren’t allowed to talk. Out of nowhere. So out of context. Incredible experience I wish I had caught it on video and posted on YouTube.

One star is too high. Extremely, extremely rude owner who threw us out of his store and told us to «get out» for asking the price for an item and not being interested. Very pushy and not customer friendly at all! He literally shut the door on my sister-​in-​law. Steer clear!
