I love Catalano’s — I have been going here for over twenty years and the hoagies taste as good now as they did back then. Whenever I am in town I try to hit Catalano’s and even better on Fridays during lent they make tuna! I have never been disappointed when looking for Italian specialty items I am always sure to find them here — and reasonably priced to boot!

I was introduced to this place by a friend. I believe I had the best Italian sub-​style sandwich (mild version) ever! There are two options, mild and spicy. They make them before the lunch hour and line them up on the countertop. You just come in, grab the ones you want (all are wrapped and ready to go). They do not have condiments on them so they are not soggy. Enjoy!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and the service is always top notch. Great hoagies! What makes the hoagie so good is the fresh baked Italian bread from Roscioli’s bakery.

The hero is the best $ 4.00 sandwich out there. I drive from Bayonne, NJ to Scranton to visit family. This is a must stop! I usually get 5 of them. They last 2 days tops. :)

Catalanos is a definite landmark in Scranton !!! Amazing hoagies and the ambiance of the place is heart warming. You will definitely feel at home in this place !! Amazing hoagies and they have the best cured olives and Italian ice! And come fall time they have amazing pumpkin seeds! I have family that comes in from all over the world and this is their first and last stop every single time !!!

I come to Catalano Importing Co for Italian hoagies when I’m visiting family in the Scranton area. Catalano makes a delicious Italian hoagie. The hoagie has good bread, quality meats, cheese, peppers, and olive oil. Customers can choose between mild and hot Italian hoagies. Catalano hot hoagies has the right amount of heat (not overpowering). The hoagies are reasonably priced which is good bang for you buck. I always bring hoagies back to Virginia because they’re so tasty. Two thumbs up for Catalano Importing Co Italian hoagies. The store sells other items but I’ve only eaten the Italian hoagie.

The Catalano hoagie is by far the best and freshest italian hoagie I have ever had! Hoagies comes in sweet and hot. I love the hot. Fresh bread, fresh meats sliced that day and very affordable! Under $ 4! I believe a hot comes with Capacola ham, Salami and provolone cheese, drizzled with olive oil, pepper and a slice of pepper down the center! Absolutely Amazing! Grab two!
They also make old fashion red pizza. It’s sold cold by the slice and is delicious!

The classic Catalano’s hoagie is one of the most amazing things I have tasted. I have never only bought one, but stocked up on multiples because of how good they are. The most affordable, filling hoagie you can buy. They are under $ 4 and have some of the most tasty ingredients ever. And that bread… to die for.
They also carry tons of other italian groceries, meats, cheeses, and pizza. The italian ice in the summer is always a nice dessert too!
