Food was really good but hookah was not done well. It needed more ice. I expected our waitress to keep the hookah from smoking too much and generally keep up with it. Expensive for just okay experience.

Literally the worst restaurant ever. Staff is not knowledgeable and management is awful when it comes to dissatisfied patrons. Hookah tasted like it was not cleaned properly after the previous flavors. Also, food was served cold and i am fairly certain that all food is prepared some time early in the week, then microwaved upon guest arrival.

I am visiting Scranton PA and my first experience with this place how it became the last. I have served numerous communities working for a Greek family. First of all I would like to bring that to whomever is the owner of this business that an employee who is taking the order on the phone should not have only sweet talk but also knows how to deliver the job. Recommendation given was poor, food orientation poor, balanced food cooking poor and most of all upon placing order, phone operator took enough pauses for me to know that how much the staff is prepared to run such a business then all of the above there was a delivery authorization was required by the driver because they seem to have some issue driving all the way on the other side which did not make any sense to me because it was only a mile and some away from me. While the operator goes and comes back asking the driver, there was an expectation or maybe something she wanted to hear so after all being hungry and having no other choice I went ahead an offered a good TIP after that everything seemed fine. Once I received my food, I open and half of my order was as requested well done and half of it was less cooked. I ended up eating rice with the so called house hot sauce and while eating I thought of how I was told that it will be just fine and the TIP given was just a waste. #EatGoodFeedGood

The only reason I’ll give this place two stars is for the beautiful décor, good music, and the friendly waiter. Other than that, oh boy, where do I start? We came here thinking we would finally have some ethnic food(in a town that is clearly lacking in good ethnic food) The only good thing was probably the salad, which is about as plain as you can get, and it’s probably because they didn’t really have to prepare much. The entrees were incredibly bland– in fact, the sauce for the curry tasted like tomato sauce!!! Even the small pita bread they tossed in was cold. The dessert– the ice cream– was something I could have whipped up at home, and the baklava was definitely way TOO sweet, I couldn’t eat more than a few bites without wanting to throw it out. The food was so terrible, that we didn’t even bother to take home what we did not eat(we left half of it on the table, it was so bad). I was hungry and left unfulfilled and disappointed. Anyone who eats here clearly is from this town and has no idea what ethnic food is supposed to taste like. This tasted nowhere near the food it was supposed to be. Advice– do not eat here, I’d rather eat fast food than ever return.

We have been to exhale quite a few times before and have also ordered carryout couple of times but this was the LAST time we ever ate from this place! It used to be decent but now it is nothing but HORRIBLE! We ordered a side of hummus which tasted nothing like hummus. It was some paste with a lot of salt in it. We also had chicken turnovers and potatoe turnovers(kachaloo) which were extremely dry and then we ordered chicken tandoori drumsticks. I am pretty sure they had gone bad and weren’t edible because the meat inside was literally black and smelled funny. Had to throw away the entire entrée! So yeah, if you’re still planning to try out this place, make sure you have leftovers in fridge because that’s what we dined on last night after having to throw away all the«fresh food» we ordered from this terrible place!

A good place to chill with friends over hookah during the weekends. Make a reservation if you want to sit in the deewan(mattress) area. Their membership actually pays for itself. Service can be hit or miss. Not like there are too many places around.

The food was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the waitress not coming around as much. It wasn’t too busy either when I went. Will definitely go back again.

Went here this past Friday night to relax with my girlfriend. This was our third visit and it was very very dissapointing. What had hoped for a relaxing, fun ethnic experience filled with great relevant music and quiet conversation turned into us being horrified by the terrible service, absolutely obnoxious, loud filthy mouthed customers and relentless obscene music played on the house sound system courtesy of the ‘djsunglasses’ channel. Get your act together Exhale! You have a unique experience to offer Scranton.

The Unilocal directions do not meet up with the actual location so you will need to type in the address. I liked the inside and It’s decorations. It has plenty of room and seating and also a Good little sit down area with pillows with middle eastern music playing at the perfect volume. It is a BYOB and has belly dancers on certain nights. Did not try the hookah portion. As for the ethnicity of the food is Where I must give a low rating. It was served with very lite meat on the gyro and also didn’t have the flavor that is known for middle eastern foods. The sauce was a ranch base and not homemade in the traditional sense. We planned on eating the gyro and moving on to a main course but We decided to stop and not spend money on the over priced meals. If you want to bring in some drinks, have fun with a group of friends in a simulated ethnic environment. then this is a nice place but if you are looking to satisfy your Eastern food craving, you will be disappointed.

Went here with the girls on a Saturday night. It wasn’t too packed for a Saturday night, but by the time we left around 9PM, more young folks were piling in to get their hookah on. We sat towards the front of the restaurant and ordered a few appetizers and entrees from the menu. We were starving! Food was delish! They have meat and veggie friendly options. I ordered the Kachaloo: potatoes, tomatoes, and a touch of yogurt sauce. It was comforting and satisfying for a cold night. My friends ordered a tropical flavored Hookah. It smelled fruity and tasted(?) lovely, though hookah isn’t my thing. Towards the end, it started burning our throats, so I called it quits. The ambience is nice, very chill, relaxing, with good food. Music was okay; they had some music videos playing in the background. The waitress was nice, helpful, and friendly. We felt at home at this establishment. Definitely a low key spot for some hookah and delicious food.

I like the food and the atmosphere is fun and different. The hookahs are pretty awesome and they have great flavors. The only major draw back is that it’s very pricy! If you go for food and hookah one person can drop 50 bucks!!! Overall it’s a nice place I just wished that it wasn’t so expensive

I decided to give this place a try today, and have to say that I won’t be back. We went around 5PM on a saturday afternoon and had 2 hookahs and shared a large grill. Décor — Decent décor, although very cold inside. it was really empty when we were there, so alot of space. They have a nice section of floor pillow seating. Hookah: We got two one hose hookahs. The flavors were decent, but what was really disappointing was the service. First of all, it’s a shame that they use charcoal instead of real coal that’s heated up. The waitress rarely came around to change the coal, so unfortunately, i felt alot of the ash in my hookah. She also didn’t really understand how to get the ash out of the top, so I ended up having to blow it out myself. The hookah is also ridiculously overpriced for what it is… Not worth it IMHO. Food: We ordered a mixed grill of beef and chicken. The food was decent. The chicken and beef were both tender and well spiced. The salad is OK and the dressing was like a ranch rather than a traditional white sauce. The ‘naan’ was hard and not at all puffy or good to eat. Overall, I wouldn’t go back and would not really tell others to go…

I stopped smoking quite some time ago, so this review is for food only… which was very good. Four stars for the food, two stars for the atmosphere. Visited during the week for lunch. We checked out the buffet, which looked good, but opted to order off the menu. Had the pakora(vegetable fritters), kofta-e-murgh(chicken meatballs) and a minted yogurt drink. All of these were very good, and the drink was particularly refreshing. The décor and lighting are a little odd… the plastic bead curtains and red and blue CFL’s do not convey a sense of coziness. I would expect a place like this to have semi-private booths, heavy drapes and dim lighting. The space is too big for a niche restaurant(same for when it was Yanni’s).
