Pierre’s

This is one of the best places to buy clothes in NEPA. It’s a boutique store right on courthouse square, and is a great relief from the mall chains that fill the area. Pierre’s has a very interesting selection of unique clothing pieces, many of which are European (particularly French). Don’t pay attention to sizes, as the lines that are carried vary greatly in cuts (I have picked up XS and L at times– just try it on). I also recommend trying on clothes here because some of the cuts and details are hard to appreciate on their hangers alone. I try to pick something up here when I’m back in Pennsylvania visiting my family. Each item I’ve purchased receives so many compliments. I love telling people I got the piece in Scranton. (Guess there’s a little NEPA pride in me!) Prices are a little high for the area, but the pieces are so well-​made and different, that I think it’s worth it. Plus, they have good sales often.
