The trucks and orders arrived on the day before thanksgiving as agreed on. It had not been clear about what we needed to do to prepare but we were able to do the cork. The job was bigger than they anticipated and they stayed until everything was done. They were efficient, polite and helpful. Turned out our 1984 builder custom home had no wall insulation at all. They were out in the rain and cold and got the job done. We felt a difference immediately.

I feel the need to update after reading a certain filtered one star review. The one that mentions busting through a closet and ruining all the contents simply cannot be true. While it is possible that they sprayed foam in the closet, I doubt the contents were ruined. On the day my insulation was installed, they did accidentally pop a piece of molding off of a window in my foyer and foam sprayed all over my curtains and the back of my Christmas tree and floor. I frantically ran outside to tell them to stop. They stopped immediately and the foreman came inside to inspect. He assessed the situation and said«Give it a half hour to set up, and we’ll be in to clean it up.» Sure enough a half hour later a worker comes in with a garbage bag and some Windex. The foam solidified and he picked up large chunks of it and tossed them in the bag. Then he washed my windows and moldings. Then he vacuumed my curtains. No stains whatsoever and no trace of the foam anywhere except the Christmas tree, and it looked like snow anyway. So I call bullshit on your closet story!

Hired USA insulation to do a crawl space encapsulation. While I had some issues with the original job, the new owner Jim came out and addressed all the issues and threw in extras to make my other crawl spaces moister barrier better then it was. This was on his own dime because the job was done when he did not even own the company. He truly will bend over backwards to address any issue you have. If you want a company that stands behind their product and will make you happy, the new owner of this company is really showing me his pride of workmanship and true morals. I would highly recommend this company.

Received an estimate from this firm and I’m certainly glad I didn’t hire them. The consultant arrived at my home without a ladder or any means to accurately measure the dimensions of my attic. Instead of asking to borrow a tape measure, the consultant pace counted the exterior of my house. Consultant wasn’t versed in the recommended R-value for this climate, either. It was then explained that the crew that would actually blow the insulation into the attic didn’t own a generator to power their equipment, so they would need to splice into my circuit panel; since these folks definitely aren’t electricians, I probably saved my house from being burnt down. When the estimate was provided, I was told it was under their minimum charge, so the estimate was then hiked up to meet the«minimum.» This company presented itself as about as far from professional as is possible.

I imagine USA Insulation uses many subcontractors so your milage may vary. I had a significantly different experience than the first reviewer. Ray(consultant) came out on his first visit to inspect the worksite. He was on time, I said that I needed to think about things. We scheduled a time at the end of the week to finalize the paperwork, price and details of the work to be done. He was a few hours late, but called to let me know in advance that morning. Contract was signed, crew to arrive two weeks later. Crew arrived on time and then things went downhill from there. They didn’t have the materials I’d discussed with the consultant. Ray suggested using heavy duty roofing rubber on the crawlspace floor instead of poly due to the rocky surface. The crews response: «What? No, we don’t do that. We never do that. I don’t even know where to get that stuff. No way Ray would’ve said that». Thankfully I had it in writing in the contract. They call their manager(Scott?) who confirms«Ray wouldn’t have said that. Oh… its in writing? Oh, we thought he meant that the owner would install the rubber flooring.» I explained this wasn’t my problem and he should call Ray to work things out. He tried, Ray wasn’t answering and so we agreed that they would drop the price and do the job using 6 mm poly. I pointed out the water supply line and second pipe that shouldn’t be sprayed over and then let them get to work. At this point it was clear none of the details I’d discussed with Ray had been communicated. End result: Vents we not sprayed. Had to point this out and they corrected. Both supply lines were sprayed over(I dug out the insulation myself). 1 electrical outlet no where near the wall was sprayed over(???) Poly was put down over my garden hose and then sealed/taped off.(Seriously? Not a big deal, but just sloppy/lazy). And most annoying: Significant gaps in the spray foam. If I didn’t go and inspect the perimeter myself they would’ve gone unnoticed. They went back in and sprayed using hand held canisters. I would love to assume everything else was done correctly, but I doubt it. Overall the job was frustrating, wasn’t what I discussed, took longer than expected and may or may not have been done correctly. Buyer beware. (I’ve filled out their own feedback form. If/when they respond I’ll update)

I had a quote of $ 2100 to insulate my crawl space. When It was time to schedule the work, the rep said she made an error on the estimate. They now wanted $ 3700 because they forgot to measure each floor joist that would be coated in the process! I will not deal with scammers!
