Waffle House

Waffle House is usually very consistent. it is what it is. Waffles, eggs, a few sandwiches and of course, hash browns. You know what you’re getting here and it’s usually a coronary disease.
I was the only customer in the place on this slow weekday. So my waitress had no problem keeping my coffee cup filled. My order was taken and filled very quickly, since it was the only one.
A perfectly cooked waffle, two fried eggs, toast, hash browns covered and a slice of «city» ham. Also known as the All Star Breakfast. Cooked right, very filling and it kept me going until a late lunch.
Four stars for this Waffle House. My only complaint is that because it was slow, all but one of the crew spent about ten minutes out back having a smoke. Because they smelled of it when they returned.

This location doesn’t have the expanded menu that other Waho’s might but I get my fix and always leave satisfied. Like someone had mentioned earlier, there’s variation in quality depending on who’s cooking but quite frankly, that’s usually the case with most chain roadside restaurants. No big deal.
I’ve eaten at this one three times now and each time has been busy, yet service was always good, staff was attentive, and food comes out in time.

Ok service for my order they forgot 2 things that I ask for and the place is not so clean and the parking lot is not clean

One star is for the horribly ugly (as in attitude of woman cooking) two very friendly waitress were working Sunday Aug 16 around 8 pm. It was very obvious one of them was new, the other waitress Lysa was trying to help in any way, what THOROUGHLY ruined any experience was the horribly degrading manner in which she spoke to the New girl. Mind you my boyfriend and I were starving and pretty much nothing could’ve ruined our meal, other than the line cook. I really hope someone in management reads this and changes her attitude.

Waffle House is my savior. After partying late into the night and waking up groggy and hungover, in the sights ahead there was a yellow light reading «Waffle House.» I drove towards light with my fellow partiers only to confirm what I knew — this is hangover heaven. Each person got a waffle, as one must always do at the house, but you can switch it up to fancy your unique tastes — choco chip, pecan, whatever you fancy. Also their hashbrowns are the best — crispy and not too oily. I personally like the smothered ones (basically plain, just onions added) but you can get a whole variety with things like cheese, etc added on. Waffle House also has your basic diner foods such as eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, etc. Any combo you want, they will make you.
The staff there is extremely nice, but a little unorganized so we never received our bacon but they did take it off our bill which was nice.
Needless to say, I am Looking forward to the next time I travel south and more hungover mornings at the Waffle House!

Ok so we go here again and it seems like regardless the time you go your always going to hear the life’s story of some random girl. All employees and the mgr was conversing regarding a pregnant girl who is clean. Great conversation while customers with their children are there. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great and the employees and mgr was very nice but poor business conversation. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting this location anytime soon.

I have eaten here 15+ times and have never had a bad meal. It is the perfect place at 2am or 11am. Not really sure why there are all the negative reviews.
The all star special is a mountain of food for less thank $ 8.

The food is really good. The stars are for the food and the cleanliness. They are open ²⁴⁄₇!
The service is just like any other place. Some good, some bad. The waitress I had today gave me my order and my check and walked out for a break. She forgot my silverware and my drink. Another waitress did not hesitate to help me. She was left a very sad tip after the change I got back from my $ 10 on an $ 8 and some cents meal. This is my second time here in 2 weeks. I might stop in once ever one or 2 weeks.

As a frequent purveyor and connoisseur of the Haus of Waffles (or as it’s more commonly called: «Waffle House») I have seen my fair share of the good, the bad and the ugly.
Let’s be real, Waffle House does not have the greatest reputation and not many people appreciate their deliciously cheap waffles that can be purchased any time of the day. The WH is a chain, so you either like it, or you don’t. Their food is going to taste the same wherever you go. And that’s something I appreciate with them because when I’m homesick, sometimes the best thing is just the same waffles and biscuits that I get at home.
But what sets this Waffle House apart is the above and beyond service that the staff provides. The staff is friendly, conversational and extremely sassy (which I greatly appreciate). They actually seem to like each other and like talking to customers. It’s like the Cheers of Waffle Houses («Where everyone knows your name»)
That being said, this is the best Waffle House I have ever been to and I’m very sad that I live so far away from it.

I was in the area with my partner who had a job interview in Scranton. I didn’t have anything better to do and had never been to this part of the state, so invited myself to tag along. We spotted the Waffle House on our way back and I had a vague recollection of hearing good things, so we decided this would be as good a place as any to grab some lunch.
Everything was greasy and boring without hot sauce. The coffee straight up sucked. Our server was entirely unenthusiastic, and I couldn’t really blame her. Thankfully, my partner ended up not taking the job, so there’s no real reason for us to go back up that way in the foreseeable future.
I guess if you’re really hungover, this might be the kind of place you want to go, but otherwise it is not.

Egg wrap. Great. Coffee good too.

This place was god awful. In all fairness, this was my first (and definitely only) visit to a Waffle House, but I can’t even believe how spot-​on comedian Jim Gaffigan’s description of it was («gas station bathroom that serves waffles»). I didn’t go there with high expectations by any means, but I never thought it could be as bad as it was. The place was beyond filthy. Let me say that I happily eat at Denny’s and dirty NJ diners; I can look the other way for good, cheap, greasy food late at night. This was horror movie style filth. I optimistically (naively, daringly) went ahead and ordered food. The «menu» leaves something to be desired. Disappointing but oh well, I was there for the waffles right? What I was served was (I can’t sugarcoat this) the shittiest waffle I’ve ever paid for. Its taste was alright but it looked like it came out of my freezer. In fact, I’ve never appreciated Eggo’s as much as I did in that moment. Also, they don’t serve actual butter, but some kind of margarine? And now for the grime: Not only was it abominably dirty, they were washing the floor in front of the stove WHILE COOKING OUR FOOD (think dirty water splashing up and around). I’m still trying to understand how none of us got food poisoning. It was like 2 am, but I can’t imagine the light of day would have done anything but make me cry at the extra layers of filth I would have been able to see. I’m really upset I have to give this place any stars (major flaw of Unilocal). I can only assume other Waffle Houses are not quite as disgusting, since people rave about this place elsewhere.

This place is only good after 11pm. Lower your expectations and you won’t be let down.
The hash browns are what makes Waffle House what it is (you know, you’d think it’d be the waffles, but they’re frequently cold and rubbery), and ever since they removed the 2 cheeseburgers, hash browns and drink combo, I’ve avoided the place. There are better establishments with far better surroundings than waffle house.

Well the first table I went to sit at, there was still hash browns all over everything. We went and sat at the counter I noticed the menus were greasy and our silverware was dirty. While we were waiting for our food we had to put up with loud, immature, obnoxious waitresses cursing and gossiping about customers. It’s nice to see waitresses eating their food, playing with their tips, then touching customers food. The food sucked, I’m better off going to Denny’s.

We haven’t eaten anything yet, but I have to say the service has been exemplary. We had fun with the jukebox, and there was hardly anything floating in the coffee. When we called for directions, the hostess said ‘I don’t know where you are, but you’re nowhere near here’. But, we’re here anyway. We really wanted some waffles. Fire alarm went off — gotta go.

What’s worse than a depressing staff and greasey «is this even real egg?» restaurant? a CHAIN of depressing staff and greasey «is this even real egg?» restaurants!!!
This place is for emergencies only. Emergency meaning, travelling and its the only place open or your completely wasted and it’s within walking distance of the bar. But again this is one of those sad places where if you’re in this type of food trouble, you’re better off getting McDonald’s.

This is my first time trying waffle house. And let me say, It was a good experience. Though i had a trainee serve me, it was all good. the food was better then i expected. The Biscuit and Gravy was good, and the hash brown was good. The coffee was delicious and the waffles were good. Also, everything around this area was closed because it was a Sunday. Let me say, i had a good experience at this waffle house.

Quick and fulfilling, this is the place to go if you don’t care about what your food taste like. The only thing good is the waffles, every single item that has salt in it is overly salty, whether it be hash, sausage, biscuits. Come here if nothing else is open to fill your stomach.
