Eye Appeal

I have been a customer and eye patient of Eye Appeal going back 8 years. I find their selection of eye glass frames to be reasonably priced, fashionably current and wide in selection. This is a family owned and run business and they are always willing to accommodate my schedule. I actually need to make an eye appointment very soon and I can not imagine going anywhere else to do so.

In response to Kevin P. Your first review was unfortunately very inaccurate. I own Eye Appeal and we are a family owned optical shop of which my wife and daughter both work in the shop. We have been open for more than 15 years with no complaints as to our customer service. My daughter who is 13 was present in the store when you were making threats to me and my store. I am truly sorry about your bad experience but there is a proper way to fit contacts which requires a 1 – 2 week follow-​up visit before the rx is finalized. At that time we certainly look at any issues you may have especially because of your astigmatism. The doctor (whom is a separate business located in my store) did refund the contact lens evaluation charges to you. Again I am truly sorry that you felt that our service was so bad that you needed to physically threaten my family and business.

I have been denying the fact that I needed glasses, but as age took over pride, I wandered into eye appeal in Seabrook, NH… Just to look… Dave, later to find out he was the owner, was extremely attentive, suggesting we just do a simple eye exam. Well, OK, seems harmless… Well as I expected I needed glasses. Dave and by the end of the day every other staff member had assisted me with finding the perfect pair of glasses. Let’s just say, I was not the easiest customer to fit, but they were so patient and stuck with me, I was very happy with the final decision … Dave had said it would take a week to make them, a few days later, Dave called to say my new glasses were ready, ahead of expected delivery. When I came to get them, Dave spent additional time to properly fit them to my head. He then went on to tell me how to take care of my new glasses, great customer service… OMG, I can now see again !!! I then found out that Eye Appeal is one of the only shops around that can cut lenses for motorcycle glasses… Got fitted for the best riding glasses I have ever had, Oakley!!! They fit perfect and look awesome … I have recommended every biker I know to Eye Appeal for custom riding glasses… Every one of them have thanked me for the referral … Great customer service and great staff… Prices were very competitive… I highly recommend EYE APPEAL for optical service!

Be very weary of doing business here. I had an unpleasant experience after having my eyes examined by the new doctor and I was extremely unhappy with my prescription that was provided. When I stated that I needed contacts for the upcoming summer they would not move my follow up appointment forward to correct the issue. I knew that the prescription was not right before I even left the building. They wanted me to wait for 2 weeks before even going back when I could not even drive with my updated prescription. I was forced to use my old glasses until I found my previous eye doctor. The owner Dave got very defensive when I brought up the issue and that I was unsatisfied with my service. He then proceeded to give us half of our refund and told me to have no one from my family to ever step foot on their business property again. Very unprofessional.

If you need new glasses, this is the optical shop for you! I received excellent, non-​pressured personal service from business owner Dave. He took a lot of time explaining lens features as well working with me to find the perfect frames. Wonderful service with zero pressure. My lenses were delivered to the store the next week, a fact I was alerted to by a very nice voice message left from Mary.
