Walgreens

The pharmacist is absolutely one of the rudest people I’ve contacted. You see on their TV ads that you can access your prescriptions from any walgreens in the country. When I tried to ask about how this process worked I was told they wouldn’t order my prescription and if they did they couldn’t guarantee it would even come. I’m going to be moving to the area and wanted to know what I needed to do to make them my new walgreens. I was told that she wouldn’t share that process with me. I take a high dose of a pain killer and explained that she could contact my current walgreens and see that I’d been taking this medicine for years now. To which I was told they wouldn’t order that medicine or tell me if they would on the phone. Her tone implied that I was just a drug addict calling to find out if I could get narcotics. I needed them to order the medicine so I could pick it up from them over the holidays. I said I’d be bringing the actual paper script from the doctor. This is when she said they wouldn’t answer whether they would order and wouldn’t guarantee they could even get any of my prescriptions if I switched to them. All I wanted to know was whether they had a product in stock and what I needed to do once I moved to make them my new Walgreens. I instead got a lecture with an accusing tone of just trying to get narcotics from them. Then be constantly told they would do nothing to help me with the process. Once I gave them the script they would go through a background check (but said she wasn’t accusing me of being a drug addict) contacting the walgreens I’ve been using for years and had records of me taking the medicine for years wasn’t something she would tell me over the phone they would do or that it was something she would even do and that she wasn’t going to help me at all learning in the process of switching to them as the walgreens I would be using once I moved there. She immediately got hostile and confrontational. Tackiest and most unprofessional person I have ever come across. I wish I could give no stars. I called the next closest walgreens in la porte and had all my questions answered quickly and politely. I know now what I need to do once I move down there to switch all my prescriptions and have a pharmacy that I will be using the rest of my life. I have a incurable condition that requires me to take medicine the rest of my life. I take a lot of meds and this place just lost a ton of money that they would make monthly and la porte Walgreen is going to get a huge boost in revenue. Do not go to these people or ask the pharmacist questions. She clearly can’t handle it.
