Chicken’s is one of those places where you go when you’re hungry, you want chicken(obviously), and you want it fast. Chicken’s offers a huge variety of food options. There are platters(either rotisserie or fried yet skinless, which is awesome!), wraps and wings. Most of the items have two options to choose from, regarding cooking and/or sauces(BBQ or honey on the wings). For around $ 6.99, you get a huge plate of chicken with fries and a can of soda or a bottle of water. You really cannot go wrong with that! I try not to come here too often because while it’s healthier than its competitors, it’s still not HEALTHY. With that said, Chicken’s is still full of great food and nice service.

I am going to try a different approach to this review, lets call it a «Short Order Review»… Food: Good, not excellent overall. Chicken was good the few times I was there, wings were just ok, sides were terrible to be honest. Service: Very bad, food takes forever to get, and people working behind the counter seem to be dazed and confused. Maybe they are serving up something more than chicken… lol. Ambiance: Eh, not bad, but very quiet… dirty tables both times I went, meanwhile NOBODY was there and there were like 3 or 4 people working there. They need music, and a studious counter person who notices food particles on various tables. Garbage was FULL both times as well… did I mention nobody was in the place for the 15 and 20 minutes respectively that I waited… hence my disbelief of the condition of the dining room. Verdict: Food takes FOREVER to be served, they forgot condiments and serving utensils both visits, and other than the whole chicken pieces I was not impressed overall. Huge promise, poor delivery.

I ordered from them is because they deliver and I was in a bind. The place has been around a little while and I’ll try anything once. The southern fried chicken tasted burned on the outside and the meat was dry(depending on the piece). The ribs were completely inedible. The meat was slathered in sauce in an attempt to mask its dry, leathery texture. The mashed potatoes were way too salty, not creamy at all. The steamed mixed vegetables were also overdone and lacked any flavor other than salt. My order for a family of four cost just under $ 30, and I threw away at least $ 17 worth of food. Bottom line, if you live in the area and want good chicken, go to Zorns.

If you are a chicken fan, fried yet skinless and rotisserie are the way to go here.
