Nope don’t do it, save yourself. I won’t go into the BS story I got from one of the techs. All I will say is the unit and its lines are working fine. Without the $ 7000 new unit, I could have installed. So let’s go with the benefit of the doubt and say it also did not cost the$ 3400 I was told it would take to just get the unit and it leak running. Maybe the unit will go out again and maybe I will have to replace it but this will not be the company I use.

CROOK! I’d give zero stars if I could. Over charges customers does not do job correctly. Half asses everything! Barry who is the owner is loud and obnoxious does NOT listen to your needs just listens to his own needs of taking your money! I’d rather go through the whole winter like a pilgrim without heat then have Barry or his company work on my home ever again. And the women in the office Christine she needs to retire. nasty and unprofessional. Trucks do not even have company name on them when they arrive at your home. Scary to let these people in your home especially with little ones. DONOTUSE. ud be better off rubbing two sticks together in the winter for heat and have a friend blow in ur face for cooling in the summer… NEVERAGAIN!!!

DONOT use this company. Barry flat out lied, had someone else professional come in to find out everything Barry told us was a lie. In fact nothing was wrong with our system. I wont say anything else except I will be seeing him in court. I have all the papers and proof needed to win. See you in court.

One of my central a/c units was not cooling. The service team of Mike and Chris were very nice and explained that my unit needed 8 pounds of freeon. Which they proceeded to put in @ $ 42 per pound. After one hour they couldn’t find where it was leaking and left along with a charge of almost $ 500. The next day I went to use the unit and it was still blowing warm air. I called the number I was told to call which turned out to be the cell of the owner, Barry. It was about 8:30 at night. He was rude and nasty on the phone. He even answered the phone by saying«yeah?» when I explained that I was a customer, he repeated, «yeah?» He then told me he was too tired to go through the possibilities of the problem and would have his guys there the next morning. The same guys came, still couldn’t find a leak, and told me that it might be a valve that needed replacing. Then they gave me an estimate for $ 1,200 to replace it. I called another company and asked for an estimate for the same exact work that I was given a written estimate on, there could be no mistake because I told him what I wanted and it was just as it was listed on the estimate. Their price was $ 525. They also charge $ 30 per pound for freeon. I guess some people feel they can gouge the public during the summer months. I tried the system again and it is still not working right. None of this was told to me when they first came that this was even a possibility. Unethical and dishonest.

I recently dealt with Barry and was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. We had a problem with our central air system and I was wary about calling anyone in because I knew the potential for being ripped off. Desperate, I started my search on Home Advisor and was happy to find Barry. He knew exactly what the issue and was able to help me resolve my problems and charged me a more than fair amount. He has proven to be to very honest. If I have any further issues, I would not hesitate to call Barry again. I would also not hesitate to refer Barry to family and friends.

Comfort Cooling installed a new $ 7,000 heating system in my former home in Huntington. Barry Baer overcharged me by $ 1,000 and after weeks of my complaining and his stalling, I was forced to turn to the credit card company to get them to refund me the $ 1,000 overcharge, which they did. This strained my relationship with Comfort Cooling right from the start. Incompetent technicians were sent to my home to install the new system and fell behind schedule. Then, after a few months, the boiler broke down on New Years Eve. I called Barry and he arrived and said he had no qualified technician at that time to repair the faulty installation. I had to call 2 other plumbing repair companies to try to temporarily fix the boiler on New Year’s Eve. He paid the $ 95 that one company charged but not the other bills. Our business relationship suffered further strains, and I no longer trusted his ability to send competent technicians to repair my heating system under cold weather emergency situations. The heating system failed again a few weeks later on a bitterly cold day. A thermostat had to be replaced because it burned out due to faulty installation. A few months later, a circulator pump failed and corroded pipes had to be replaced. I have paid over $ 2000 to 3 repair companies over a period of six months to fix the faulty initial installation. I have tried to negotiate with Barry but he is extremely difficult to deal with. Learn from my mistake!

Barry Baer is a thief, a cheat and a psychopath. He sold me a furnace at an inflated price and in doing so cut all air conditioning lines. I sued him and won in small claims court. He also overcharged my credit card by thousands of dollars and refused to pay it back for over 60 days. The only reason I stood for this was that didn’t want to get an expensive attorney involved. I just sold my house and the furnace job failed inspection on an undersized expansion tank and a copper pipe that had to be 6″ from the ground but was three feet from the ground. Barry said he would make good on this immediately but his secretary called and said that I have to deal with his attorney. He is a crook, cheat, and total miscreant. Avoid him like the plague.
