So today, a cold and rainy day, I wanted something hot for lunch. As soon as I walked in, I remembered that I had eaten there 20 plus years before when I worked in Seaford. Ordered the same thing I had 20 years ago: special of the day, Chicken and dumplings. YUM. Mashed potatoes, i am sure were real, not instant. VG! Greens were pretty good. Came with awesome sweet potato biscuits. I will be back for those! $ 6.95 for all. Got it to go and was in and out pretty quick, maybe 10 minutes. Very fair price for what I got and I will probably regret eating it ALL for lunch. Ladies that work there remind me of some of the women in my family(a good thing) and they seem to know the customers and were very friendly. They had awesome looking pies, that looked homemade to me, in a refrigerated case next to register. Next time!

I really like the Dairy Bar, nestled on a side street across from the NAPA store, you will find what looks like a house, but it’s actually a bar. no wait. it’s a DAIRYBAR! The lore I received from relatives, is that this is the reincarnation of a restaurant in Seaford from long ago(50’s I think?). I’m not quite sure why it’s called The Dairy Bar, as it’s a really nice home style restaurant, with delicious homemade desserts. I would make a point to eat here around Thanksgiving or Christmas, as they always do a special meal around the holidays and don’t forget a slice of pie!
