Coast Modern is wonderful! The perfect location to get unique clothing and home times. Also a great spot for gifts. The brands are unique, they stock a lot of local makers, and every item has a cool story behind it. The staff are friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. A must stop when in Seal Beach!

This beautiful little store is so special. They carry a neat and eclectic selection of men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, and home goods. I Met Bryce today who was running the store and he was really nice, laid back, and well informed about all of the brands they carry. He even told me to «make myself at home» when I apologized for returning to the dressing room a second time! It was cool to see some brands for sale here (such as the awesome outerwear/​gear company Topo Designs from Colorado) that I’ve never seen for sale in any other stores, and have only been able to purchase online in the past. The products they carry certainly are created by some very thoughtful designers and companies. I am so excited about the comfy (and cute!) alternative apparel tee I bought here today, and the lovely knot sisters top that I scored on sale. Can’t wait to come back here. Thanks Coast Modern!

I dropped in today to do some holiday shopping for my wife. The owners were in and were very helpful and friendly. They carry some very quality and well designed products. If you want something unique and wonderful drop by the store!

This is a fantastic store and a great addition to Seal Beach. Cecilia’s buying is on point. Everything is trendy but classic and primarily local which is obviously a huge plus. On top of their great merchandise because it is a family owned shop– you can tell how grateful they are that you are spending money in their shop versus somewhere else. It’s a great shop for just about anything but especially awesome and unique gifts. :)

What a wonderful little store this is! Happened to come across CM as my friend and I biked down to the beach on a beautiful Sat afternoon. Saw a lovely dress in the window and went inside to check it out. CM is a very small boutique filled with (as the name suggests) items that are modern and lovely — from women’s and men’s clothing and accessories to home décor. The owners (husband and wife?) were very friendly and helpful. They even offered patrons a bottle of water while we were browsing. The owner/​lady helping us told us the background behind a gorgeous brass necklace I was looking at — they are made by women in a third world country and the sale of the jewelry help them to be independent. All the items in the store were gorgeous and after it was all said and done I walked away with the dress in the window, a necklace, and a ring set. The items they carry do not appear mass-​produced and they all seem hand-​crafted. You’ll be paying more for these, but they are so unique and well designed, IMO they are worth shelling out some more coin. Can’t wait to come back and visit again. Next time I’ll have to make sure to get a bigger basket for my bike to haul my CM finds back home!

Main Street has been going through such a renaissance, and the addition of Coast Modern. Beautifully appointed, it is a feast for the senses. Everything’s displayed so thoughtfully. They have an excellent selection of brands you can’t find elsewhere — gifts, clothes, home décor — some big names, many smaller local and global designers. The clothes I’ve picked up there are relaxing, well made, and so comfortably easy. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood, I find myself there, checking out what new treasures they’ve picked up!

An exquisite little shop has opened up on Seal Beach boulevard. The aesthetic is part mid century modern and part California surfer and the products they carry are carefully chosen and well thought out. Owners Bryce and Cecilia have a great eye and it’s reflected in the carefully designed layout of the store as well as the beautiful art up on the walls. Brands such as Almond Surfboards and Design, Tambourine Studio, and other American made, local artisan crafted clothing and jewelry make up most of the merchandise in the store and everything is very tasteful.
This will definitely go into my rotation of stores to visit when I’m looking for anything special and I would highly recommend it to everyone else to do the same. 5 stars.
