What is the hype about??? I had the Shrimp taco, it was ok, not very flavorful. I’ve had way better for cheaper! Wahoo’s Shrimp tacos are SO good with a lot of shrimp and I think they’re about $ 1 cheaper!!! Also, I asked if salsa came with it and the lady said yes it’s in the bag, got home NO salsa!!! Plus the charge you for everything here even the salsa! Never going back here

I ordered a carne asada burrito and it consisted of nothing but fat, literally no meat at all. Also my cousin ordered chili verde which she said had no taste at all. In conclusion I would have to say that this was a giant disappointment and we will not be visiting again.

My family has been going here ever since we discovered it seven years ago. We drive all the way from inland Orange County. The food is so authentic and seriously worth the trip. Great customer service as well!

Place is alright. As a Mexican American I know how Mexican food taste like since my mom is full Mexican and obviously I grew up with real Mexican foods. This place is nothing like real Mexican food WHEN it comes to spice, Rice and beans. I order the enchiladas but had no flavor what’s so ever neither did my husbands chile verde burrito.

Watch your bill closely for special«add on charges». A great way to nickel and dime you, but maybe not the best way of showing how much they value their customers.

Maybe you can change my mind… Maybe… My family visited this establishment today; we’ve visited many times before. On the usual, I’d give this place a solid 4 stars, but not today. Food was good, coffee was good, service seemed fine until we got the check. We got charged a dollar extra asking for more chips, the ubiquitously free and plentiful appetizer at Mexican restaurants. There is no excuse for hidden fees in today’s informed society. Sure, it’s just a dollar, but no one informed us of this charge. What if they do this with larger fees? Never before had we been charged extra for chips. Maybe it was this group of staff? No time in my memory had this crew been running the restaurant alone. Fix this and we’ll be fine, but don’t hide the facts from me and other patrons. You have to earn our trust.

Had a Carnitas burrito, a little bland, mostly beans and the meat was dry. The guacamole was a nice touch though. The 4 stars is the atmosphere. Sitting on a bench across from the ocean munching a burrito, well, there’s not much else to say.

Ask me to review ebj two years ago and I’d give it a 5. Over that time the food has remained the same quality, but the quantity has lowered and the price has increased. I’ll always love ebj but I’ll also always be bitter about a surfer special now being $ 6. But anyways dank Mexican food.

I suggest always taking your food ‘to-go’ and take it down to the greenbelt by the pier to eat, this location is steps to the ocean and who doesn’t like an ocean view with their meal? There is an indoor seating area but it’s very dated and the kitchen is pretty loud. Absolutely love the ‘Surfer Special’ it’s a to go only favorite and comes with a drink, huge side of chips/salsa and two bean & cheese burritos!

My family and I eat here all the time. It’s the best Mexican food around! I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve eaten most items on their menu. My favorite is a combo meal with a chunky beef taco and a chilie relleno. Delicious!

Very casual spot– right next to the pier. Inexpensive for seal beach. Cash only. But cervesa and burritos are the real deal. If you need non– gringo fare — ask for it. Else it will come very mild. Handmade chips and salsa and prompt service

We attempted to eat here. The rude waitress basically attacked us about my 7 year old son not having a shirt on. He’s 7. This is the beach. If you don’t want our money we will spend it else were. Some people need to learn tact. This is the time when a zero stars area is needed.

This LBJ isn’t as great as the ones in the South Bay Beach Cities, such as on PCH(Redondo Beach) or Hawthorne Blvd(Torrance), but while not great is still good. The service at the«to go» window was a tad slow, but maybe that’s a product of the demand, where it’s understaffed for the crowds. I got a sense that it was a tad higher priced here in Seal Beach too, but can’t really confirm that. We paid shy of $ 20 for a meal for 2 consisting of 2 burritos and no drinks or anything else(other than the free tortilla chips they provide gratis with salsa). The food quality was good(and maybe I have a bias, but think it could be a tad better in the South Bay, but might be my imagination), with items prepared fresh to order(also why it may take a bit longer from the ordering process to getting your food). I’d still recommend this place and like it, but love the locations in the South Bay Beach Cities better. Parking is somewhat easy here if you know how to park on Seal Beach around Main Street in the neighborhood.

Meat had no flavor, the chips they bring you are large tostadas, and cheviche was horrible. There’s better Mexican food, this place would get no stars if I could leave them. Service and sitting area weren’t great either

Fabuloso! The restaurant was on over drive last night! The was amazing! The Carnitas were delicious the guacamole was right on point so fresh. Everybody seemed to have the same thought let’s go get some delicious Mexican food because it was super busy. My friends had an AL Pastor taco the meat was tender and flavorful!

Mmm, a Seal Beach classic. This little restaurant is located right across from the ocean, making it an amazing beach restaurant! Although there is an area for sit down service inside the restaurant, I much prefer the takeout window. The takeout window is great because you can take the food to the benches near the beach or on the pier and enjoy the ocean while you eat. Great food, even greater view, does it get any better than that?! I always get the same thing — Surfer’s Special. This is only available to-go, which is fine by me! The Surfer’s Special includes 2 bean and cheese burritos, 1 drink, and chips & salsa — all for $ 6. The burritos are so smooth and tasty, and it is even enough to split because the burritos are pretty filling. The staff here is always super friendly and accommodating, and the portion sizes are generous. Parking near the beach can always be a struggle, but Seal Beach in never too bad, depending on the day. If you can’t find parking down Main, there are usually spots around the neighborhood. It might take a few minutes to find a place to park on crowded days, but I have never had too much of a problem. Keep in mind this place is cash only, but they do have an ATM.

Big, yummy and cheap portions in a clean, casual place. Do you like Super Mex? Well, this is pretty much Just as Super Mex.
