Optimal Performance and Recovery

I am a 70 year old marathon runner and Cross Fit geek with a lot of aches and pains. I finally had to slow down and almost quit because of plantars fasciitis and a sore knee. I went to Doctor Ales (I call him Doc awesome) for help and he got me running again with very little down time.

I’ve been receiving acupuncture treatments from Dhanell Azada for the past 5 weeks. I can’t say enough good things about her and the care she provides (the office staff are great as well). My migraines have diminished in severity and frequency (initially why I sought her assistance). With her help and suggestions, I have made diet and lifestyle changes that have greatly improved my overall health and well-​being. Thank you Dhanell!

Dr Ales is awesome. He has helped rehab my feet after surgery, along with making my whole body feel better. His laser treatments have been a miracle in getting rid of pain and inflammation. He keeps up to date with best practices and is always learning, all with the mission to help his clients have the best quality of life possible. I’ve known and been treated by Dr Ales for many years. What I like about him is that he’s smart, passionate, and always looking for ways to grow professionally so he can better serve his clients. Always up on the latest technology, he finds ways to adjust and treat so that one can recover and heal as quickly as possible. Both my daughter and I have recently been treated for shoulder injuries, and have been very pleased with the results. He also has been very proactive in getting my daughter’s feet in alignment and properly supported so as she goes through her next growing spurt, she will be in optimal shape. His staff is super friendly and the Pandora tunes are cranking, all adding to a great vibe when you go in for a treatment!

Dr. Ales helped me with what I thought was a fast onset plantar fasciitis when in reality it had been building up for years, finally becoming unbearable due to some over training for two half marathons. I’m thrilled to say I am back to running with minimal pain, and I know how to address any small tweaks of pain before they become a huge issue.

I’ve been working with him since 2010, and he is the reason I continue to complete long distance races (ultra, marathon, half marathon).
In the beginning, he took over an acute foot issue and resolved it, getting me mobile for the LA Marathon. Since then we’ve been working through a series of issues (he’s made me several pair of evolving custom orthotics). Today I have a regular preventative maintenance program with him.
When he’s done saying «hello», and the focus turns to your feet, it’s like a laser. He is really, really focused and he knows what he’s doing and (in all likelihood) what needs to be done.
He also knows all the other chiro stuff — but that’s not my focus with him. AND, he is an athlete competitor — running, surfing, martial arts — so he totally gets the importance of training and being ready for an event.
I think the guy walks on water (pun intended).

Dr Bryan (Chiro) and Dhanell (acupuncture) are Wonderful and really listen intently. They both know what they are talking about and spend time with their patients, they don’t rush you out the door.

Dr. Ales is not just a chiropractor; he is a miracle worker. I saw him after my first pregnancy when I was suffering from extreme anxiety. I did not want to be on high does of meds that my GP wanted me to take so I sought out other, more natural methods. I came across Dr. Ales through a referral from my acupuncturist. Dr. Ales gave me an Alpa Stim machine that is as small as an Ipod and attaches to your earlobes. It works by balancing the brain. Each time I felt a panic attack coming on, I reached for the machine and I found immediate relief. Not only that, but I discovered that the Alpha Stim helped with insomnia and pain. Dr. Ales down-​to-​earth nature makes him quite approachable which helped because I had a stigma attached to my issue. Dr. Ales cares! You can’t go wrong with him!

I have been a client of Dr. Ales for six months. I currently train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu full time, and I will be the first to admit, if it wasn’t for Dr. Ales, I would not be able to to train the way I do today. He has «FIXED» many injuries that I have incurred in competitions and training. I have recommended many of my friends and family members to him as well. He is a great doctor who genuinely cares about his patients and it definitely shows. If you are in the LA or Orange County area, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ales. Thank you for your help Dr. Ales.

Dr Ales is super nice & has helped me beyond belief. I had a strange case. My blood pressure was going through the roof because I didn’t know what was wrong. Turns out my muscles in the back of my neck and shoulders were just so tight it was causing a pressure sensation. Seeing Dr. Ales has relieved that pressure and my blood pressure has gone back down as well. He really cares about his patients & asks that you update him via text. Awesome!!!

Dr Ales is awesome! I compete around the world doing Jiu Jitsu and Dr Ales is the reason my body can hold up to it! This guy is amazing!
