Epic Fail!!! Pretty upsetting to stop by around dinner time on a Tuesday and they are closed! The owners came out as I was getting into my car and said they were too busy today to be open. I guess this happens at Mom and Pop places. Call first before coming here.

Stopped in Sealy on our way to Florida and got some food at Fillip’s. We were not disappointed! The baked potato stuffed with brisket and the Cole slaw was excellent! The owner was also super friendly. Great staff.

Absolutely fantastic. This is a hidden gem. The barbecue was great the hamburger steak was fantastic the sides were amazing.
Great job. We highly recommend this place whether you live here or you’re passing through. It is a must stop in.

The food was good, the prices seemed a little high but over all it was not bad. It is better than most of the other BBQ places in town.

Stopped here on our way to Houston. The food was amazing and the people were super friendly. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries — both were some of the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely stop here again anytime I am close by.

If I could give this place a 10, I would! The bbq was delish! The meat on the ribs fell off with little to no effort, the brisket was tender and very flavorful, the sausage had a nice crisp in the casing. The beans, potato salad were all good! No complaints! A must try if you’re in Old Sealy.

What a great restaurant! It is quaint, nicely decorated, clean, well kept, and has that family feel. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the ribs are fall-​off-​the-​bone good! We will definitely come back!

We came based off of Unilocal reviews! We ordered the half chicken plate, it came with 3 sides and the chicken was falling off of the bone! Also ordered a baked potato filled with chopped bbq. It was smothered in bbq sauce, also very good. We’re addicted to sweet potato fries, so we ordered a side when we saw them on the menu– they were perfect! Everything came out steaming hot and we appreciated the (what seemed to be) owners greeting us and thanking us for coming by on our way out!

Reading reviews here on Unilocal,we chose Fillepe BBQ and we are glad we did. It’s smaller than the chain one right of the highway, but it’s where the locals go. They have a small sign on the side of the building and we missed it twice and almost gave up, but found it. It’s immediately next to a small pentecostal church. The service was excellent and the food was good. It’s hard for us because just 2 nights ago we went to the amazing Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood. Fillepe BBQ was very good, but nothing compares to Salt Lick. Fillepe is great food and as I said it’s hard to not compare the two places because then Fillepe would probably get only 2 or 3 stars from me, but when I compare Fillepe to BBQ places that I have eaten at through out my life I’d say it is definitely 4 stars. The value is awesome, ton of food for less than $ 10 plate. I had ½ chicken which was very moist and flavorful and my wife had the ribs. Both were great. If you are passing through town, this is a fantastic place to eat.

I ordered the 2 piece catfish and my wife ordered the beef and sausage plate. The seasoning on the catfish was AMAZING, no. lemon or hot sauce needed. The beans and potato salad had alot of flavor and definitely was all homecooked and fresh! Last the beef was tender and literally feel apart. Very friendly and small business but worth the stop if your driving bye Sealy TX.

This is the only place I eat at in Sealy! The food is amazing. One of my favorite places to eat. It’s a mom and pop kind of place. You won’t find better food around. They have it all! Steaks, burgers, fish, shrimp, brisket, ribs, sausage, potatoes, fries, onion rings, sweet potatoe fries and that not all of it! I wouldn’t recommend anywhere but here. It takes a few minutes but well worth the wait. Everything is hand battered, slow cooked bbq to die for! I can’t say enough about this place. You’ll just have to see for yourself. This isn’t no high class fancy wear your tux kind of place! Bring your beat up pickup and cowboy boots here, for a real big country kind of meal!

Stopped by on my way from Houston to San Antonio based on positive Unilocal recommendations and it was great! Home style food was delicious and the cook and servers were very hospitable. Would definitely go back there again to get some ribs and a slice of their homemade coconut pie!

Ordered the huge ribeye cooked to order, perfect medium rare with a huge baked potato, toast and fried shrimp… my eyes were bigger than my stomach, to go box it is. We’ll be back for sure!
