Eh this place is simply okay. It is fun to come with friends and play some games but it’s your run of the mill seaside heights

Waste of time walking from my hotel(two blocks away) to this veteran-unfriendly piece of shit bar. I walked in and gave the bouncer my military ID and he asked if I had another form of ID. I said, «but it’s a government ID?» And he said, «I’m aware of that I don’t need your fucking attitude.» We walked out. NEVER have I ever been asked for a second ID to get into a bar. Are you serious?! This is how this establishment treats veterans? Get outta here.

Captain Hooks is a joke. They wouldn’t let my friend in because she tripped over their threshold which was elevated. They said she was too drunk. However I believe their bouncer was the drunk one because our night had just began.

Best bar on the shore. It’s clean with friendly customers and a great staff and something’s always happening there. It’s just a fun place to be. Love it.

When leaving the Boardwalk it’s a great place to stop and have a cold one, but don’t go out of your way to stop here! This place could have GREAT potential! While the beer on tap is cold and cheap, the Bartenders are not very friendly and worried more about eating their Dunkin Donuts then serving guests. Lots of fun games to play, and no kitchen.

This place is huge with lots of bar tables and stools throughout. They have a private parking lot with lots of spaces available. They do not serve any food so be sure to eat before hand. Good prices — a pitcher of Miller Light cost us $ 8. Fun games — With an array of games such as pool, darts, air hockey, beer pong and ping pong you will not get bored here!

Hidden gem. You can tell this bar is a local favorite. Very friendly bartenders and plenty of games for low key fun. Check out the fooseball, darts and ping-pong.

Coming from a local– this is definitely my favorite bar in Seaside by a long shot. Great specials, cheap drinks. The crowd’s a lot better than other places in town… you’re not likely to find many orange juiceheads pumping their fists here. I hope it stays this way for a while. There’s a lot to do here as well… as others stated there is the pong, air hockey, skeeball, arcade basketball, and other games. The place is very large, with seating at tables in addition to the main bar. This is definitely the place to go if you don’t want to be robbed and overcharged for your drinks and you want a fun atmosphere. There’s a parking lot attached, just get there early. Make sure you eat before or after, also. BRINGCASH.

A bar away from the boardwalk and usual jersey shore crowd. Fair prices and a good time out. Similar to Dave and Buster’s. Highly recommended.

Best real bar in Seaside. I will always begin my night here and most of the time stay. All the games are great and drinks are never watered down. Food would be a good idea. I would never have to leave if I could get a bite to eat. A few new video games would be cool too. Come here and you will not be disappointed.

Ping pong tables, air hockey tables, shuffle board, and a basket ball game! Karaōke happens here sometimes which is swell. You’ve got the option to play beer pong as well. The bar has a liquor store area which is nice. The drinks here are not expensive and I suggest you to try Moonjoo’s. It is jello shots that are not gelatin based.

By far my favorite bar in Seaside. Drinks are cheap and there’s always a game that’s open to play.

Excellent place to bring a date, it’s fun and has a lot of games. Looks as if your going to be mauled by a bunch of pirates when your thinking about going in, but once you take that leap of faith you’ll find that it is quite enjoyable.

I love starting the night at Captain Hooks Bar. They are the perfect place to hang out with your friends and share a cheap pitcher of beer. The décor is as the name suggests a pirate theme complete with a boat-shaped front bar. They have a decent jukebox and the music is never overpowering. They have tons of games including darts, air hockey, ping pong, beer pong, video games, pinball, skeeball and that basketball game where the hoop moves back and forth(I’m obsessed, I love that game!). They have a projection screen and plenty of seating, usually something good on tv like family guy or the olympics. There’s never a cover and there’s plenty of parking. If I lived near here, I’d probably be here once a week. It’s a nice change from the other bars/clubs nearby, the kind of place you can just chill without getting all dressed up.

OHYEA! this is our kinda place. A drinkers bar a block or 2 in from the boardwalk. No food here but you can order in, just ask the bartenders for menus. Cash Only, but the drinks are cheap and strong. They have light up beer pong tables, plenty of pool tables, and of course our favorite, Ping Pong. We felt comfortable right away and played a couple of games of Ping Pong. The crowd seemed like everyone there was looking for a fun time. The bartender was quick and the bathrooms clean. This was a great spot and I think that we will return.

Captain Hook’s was a stones throw away from our hotel in Seaside. We decided to get a drink while waiting for our room to open up, so we decided to kick it here and boy are we glad we did. Captain Hook’s became our Go To for the entire week and I already miss it! The drinks are CHEAP($ 14 for 4 drinks)… but keep in mind it’s cash only! The pour is heavy. They have a bunch of video games. It’s pirate theme’d. And… wait for it. Wait for itttt. They have BEERPONG! Granted, you have to fill the cups with water(to make sure the place doesn’t get nasty and reek which I give them major points for), but the lights under where you place your cups light up. AWESOME. I was so sad to leave Seaside… mostly because of Captain Hook’s. I’ll see you again darnit!

F MTV. F the cast of the jersey shore. F meatheads. When I’m not killing it, winning stuffed animals for my bro-chicks left and right at the seaside heights boardwalk basketball games… I can be found getting tanked on miller lite at Captain Hooks… slurrin it up with the local surfers and beach bums. There is nothing like drinking ice cold beers at noon with friendly bartenders, chillaxin patrons… ANDZEROFIST-PUMPING. I’m almost positive that there was no scent of axe body spray in this whole bar… none…what.so.ever. Win.

Hooks is the perfect location for getting together and catching up with a group of friends. The place is large and open, with couches and many tables. Beer is cheap, as little as $ 2 a pint, $ 7 a pitcher. It’s almost like Chuckie Cheese for adults, minus the pizza and robotic singing mouse. They have pingpong, tabletop shuffleboard, basketball, darts, foosball, pool, and a slew of typical bar arcade games. The music is chosen by the patrons on the jukebox. The bar has a parking lot that fits about 30 cars, so if you arrive early enough, you can get good parking. Best bar in Seaside Heights to avoid the stereotypical fist pumping of Seaside Heights, but younger crowd than Riggers.
