This place is great. Hands down the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. I had the classic American grilled cheese and the brown bag ham and smoked Gouda. The classic was really good but I would advise you get the brown bag ham and Gouda. The grilled cheeses are always hot and the staff is very nice. DONOTLETTHELINESCAREYOUAWAY. The line can be very long(especially around lunch) but it is worth the wait. Definitely my favorite food truck in seaside.

This place was really annoying. I walked up to the window to order and the lady just started listing off all the things that they didn’t have and it was like six things that was on the menu. So I ended up getting a biscuit with cheese and egg on it. While it was good I don’t think I would go back because of the poor inventory and the time it took to get my food. Warning do not go here if your in a hurry. There was only 2 people in front of me and I sat there for almost 30 min.

Every time I come back to seaside I come back to the melt down. The line is usually at least a ten minute wait, but boy those sandwiches are with it. My personal favorite is the bacon and brie on cranberry walnut bread– it’s pure deliciousness. It’s a bit overpriced but that is to be expected in this location. Overall I would recommend a fantastic grilled cheese from here to anyone.

Worth the short drive over here! All the sandwiches were great! My hubby doesn’t eat meatloaf at all, but he loved the meatloaf melt. Smoked turkey avocado was pretty amazing too. Friendly folks in the truck, too. Don’t miss!

All I can say is the customer service and products are all superb. Even during the busy tourist season the staff was courteous and composed while dealing with a line that stretched to the street. I ate here a long time ago and was unimpressed but they have really stepped up their service and speed. The price of a grilled cheese with bacon is expensive but incredibly reasonable based on the area and the quality of the sandwich. I requested mine extra toasted and that is what I received — not burnt at all. Great sandwich. And as for customer service they are pros. I belive her name was Loretta, but I am terrible with names… but she was very kind and accommodating and the rest of the staff pleasant and efficient. If you are in Seaside be sure to check this place out. Well worth the wait, which was about 5 minutes which is incredible this time of year, for a high quality grilled cheese.

I love the biscuits, but the morning staff is rude and can never seem to open on time.

Great place to grab an ultimate cheat meal after a day on the beach. Can be a long wait at times for your food, but worth it in my opinion.

Melt down= LETDOWN Will never be back again!!! I asked for gluten free. The cashier was kind about it. Except only had enough for one sandwich. However the lady with the large scar by her left elbow turned around and gave me a sassy smack and look of disgust when I asked for gluten free. We ordered anyway. My sandwich was not hot. Barely warm. There was barely any cheese on mine. Cheese not melted. My daughter wanted cheddar but I believe they gave her American. It was not melted. The prosciutto was hard and unedible. I ate less then ¼ of my sandwich. The workers last year were much friendlier, warm and made an excellent sandwich.

The Meltdown was a Let Down. This was my second time here. Thought I would give it another try. Nope. Their«Cheddar Cheese» looks low quality like American Cheese singles. That prosciutto sandwich… gave that another try. It was not finished.

Awesome! I got a grilled cheese with bacon and avocado and basically inhaled it. It’s delicious and portable. It isn’t dietetic but most clientele are on vacation so who cares! Wonderful for a day at the beach or just an afternoon snack.

This spot is the real deal. Thats why the line stretched down the sidewalk! My boys had the standard $ 5.00 grilled cheese. This wasn’t a couple of cheese slices, this was a chunk of American Cheese. My wife had the brie and bacon grilled cheese, outstanding creamy brie with ample bacon on cranberry walnut bread. Lastly, we got the Pimento and Bacon grilled cheese. Had a little kick, was outstanding. I took a star off due to charging .50 for a cup of water. Tacky way to do business, especially when you have a great product.

The best grilled cheeses ever!!! …the WORST staff ever!!! They looked like they hated their jobs… why? It’s seaside?!? Put a smile on.

A really nice breakfast option if you are in Seaside. The biscuits were very good and its nice to be able to walk over to a food truck option with good quality food. The lone complaint is the wait when we arrived. The person working there was griping that she had 2 new employees neither of whom spoke English and she spoke no spanish. Maybe it would be a 5 star breakfast if they usually have a speedier operation.

Amazing… drove through on a trip along the coast. Totally unexpected. Had the Cuban McConnell and was more than delighted. This was the best thing I ate on a 2 week 2500 mile trip from Dallas to Knoxville to Florida to Dallas Go out of your way to visit seaside and eat here… You will be so Happy. Love, love, love it

One of my favorite things about seaside is the food trucks. This one is my 10 year old daughter’s favorite. She usually orders the basic grilled cheese. For younger kids they even remove the crusts on the sandwiches on the kids menu. They do charge $ 1 for refills on soft drinks so be. Prepared. Service is always fast and friendly and prices are not crazy. Best part is that the food truck is located across the street from the beach.

Not too many vegetarian options that seemed unique. It was just good. I was able to try, the mushroom sandwich, cheese and tomato sandwich and I got the goat cheese and instead of the prosciutto, I put jack cheese. They let me mix items, so I would presume anyone can do that, so there are many combos you can make. Yippie! My sandwich(the prosciutto) substitute was good, the mushroom was great, but the cheese and tomato tasted subpar, you can make that at home. If you like cheese, like myself, than you know that you can easily go to a grocery store and buy good quality cheeses. So when I see a grilled cheese place, I’m assuming there would be something special about something, or a cool combo. But, no. There was nothing special for vegetarians(or special meat eaters) out there. Most were good though. And a heads up for outsiders, The area is a wealthy area, many retired people and people who wouldn’t mind spending over 8 $ for a good grilled cheese. Personal note: I don’t care how much money I have, blowing money irks me a bit but again, I’m not on the level of these ppl, so this could be nothing I’m sure) I probably would not go back, but try it, I appreciated them letting have my sandwich my way and the good service!

Cuban — 3 out of 5, the bread was a little too thick. A little heavy on the cheese which overpowered the mustard. In my opinion mustard and pickle are the supporting cast to any good Cuban sandwich. Meatloaf: predictable meatloaf, sauce, mozzarella cheese on toasted buttery bread. The toasted buttery bread was delicious. I think this is the staple to all of their sandwiches. This sandwich was terrible — it was just lacking flavor. The sauce, meatloaf, cheese were all done well, just one dimensional. It needs a fresh tomato, peppers or a spice kick to the meatloaf sauce. Meat lovers: ham, turkey and bacon. Perfect amount of each meat. This was the best sandwich of our 3. Again the prices are ok. The portions are pretty good — I would suggest sharing.

I’m not a cheese person, but Meltdown has amazing grilled cheese combinations! I had the goat cheese, proscuitto, arugula, and tomato. The flavors were perfect, not too salty and just enough ingredients between the bread slices. I wish I had the chance to try a few more of the others. Service was quick around 9pm and the guy taking orders was very friendly. There is plenty of seating at and surrounding the food truck, so if you don’t have anywhere else to eat, don’t worry! My only thing with this place is that $ 8 – 10 is pretty pricey for just a normal sandwich. But the prices do reflect the neighborhood, so just something to be aware of.

Walking along past the row of food trucks near the amphitheatre in the Center Square of Seasdie, my dear friend said that I needed a grilled pimento cheese. To which I replied«With bacon!» I’d just finished a half marathon and the Whole30. While I know that you’re supposed to ease yourself back into eating grains and cheese, Grilled pimento cheese with bacon just couldn’t be resisted. I ordered one for $ 8, swiped my card, and didn’t look back. I took it back to our nearby condo, about a 3 minute walk. The cheese was gooey and tangy and the bacon was just the right amount of pork. The bread was crispy on the outside, but hadn’t yet crossed the line to crunchy. Divine. You also need a grilled pimento cheese. With bacon.
