Update, they are now telling me it is not a week minimum issue like they originally stated. It is hat they are limited by a 14 day policy. Since I am not willing to change cities they can’t make it right. They also charged me instead of putting a hold on my card. That is another issue. I was treated like they were doing me a favor to refund but they would have to mail me a check. After pushing back they refunded the credit card.

Great value, great staff and great homes! Our home was spectacular, a real gem. Super clean, I mean REALDEAL clean. We stayed at 1440 Beach Street. A fresh remodel makes this craftsman style home modern and sleek, with all the warmth of wood and all the updated modern convienices. Stafff was truly the best, shout out to the wonderful Sammy, bur truly everone I spoke to was upbeat and really caring about our whole experience.

The company staff was nice. I didnt give them a great rating for a couple reasons. I would have givin them 3 stars, but«a-ok» wasnt really my feeling. 1. check out time of 10 am. This is f-ing crap, and more and more hotels/rentals are doing this. Im on vacation, i dont want to get up at 8 am on vacation so i can start packing out. 11am would have been far more acceptable, and the industry standard many many years ago was noon. How this benefits the rental company or why they do it I dont know. 2. The lady showed up to check us out literally 4 minutes before departure, that shit I had to take? well now i get company. thanks, 3. cleaning fee i think was like 100 bucks, not un reasonable at all, but I have to take out all the trash, i have to load all dishes into dishwasher, i have to enpty out fridge. I dont have to do any of this in a hotel and they clean every day. — and the vent on the bathroom fan shouldn’t be filthy for 100 bucks. 4. the town, this is not seaside rentals fault, but. the town is kinda like gods waiting room. so expect that the entire neighborhood will launch into an uproar if you are making any sound at all after 8 pm. additionallly they begin mowing the lawn and gas powered landscaping devices around 745 in the morning. Its a real treat. 5. dog fees. I expect to pay more i suppose, even though most hotels dont charge more. I certainly expect to pay more if my dog has an accident or tears something up, thats how it works. I was charged like $ 22 or $ 25 a day(cant recall) for pet«rent» ok, ok, sure. I was also charged like $ 35 for pet«registration» wtf? you never even asked what kind of animal i had, or if it was a girl or boy, or its name. who the hell did you register it with. next time just quit hiding behind bs charges and show up with a gun and demand 35 dollars. at least you wont have to lie to me to get it. I guess i am just mostly bothered by their odd policies. i didnt think the places were of any special value, i liked my place mostly, and the people were certainly nice to me. next time I will stay in a hotel and have someone actually clean up after me, and take my trash out and launder the sheets daily instead of when I leave. and i will likely get to sleep till 10 am on my last day because I wont have a bunch of chores to do before someone shows up to kick me out at 5 minutes to 10. as far as the owners«about us» rant about Unilocal.it is entirely possible that people who are upset are more likely to write a review than people who left happy.(pretty much a statistical fact) so save it.

As someone who both owns vacation rentals and rents(as a guest) vacation homes, I have to say that SVH is by far one of the best, most professional vacation home management companies out there. They take great pride in keeping the homes they manage in tip top condition. I know they have dropped homes from the inventory if the property owners did not want to maintain the home in the high standards that SVH feels their clients deserve. I have rented expensive vacation homes from other management companies and been disappointed in the cleanliness, condition or inventory(lack of sufficient dishes) in those homes. SVH makes sure that their homes are clean, well maintained and if the house is listed as accommodating 10 people– you can be sure there will be lots of drink glasses, dishes and towels for your guests! I wish we had someone in Southern California like SVH to manage our vacation rentals there.(we have fired 2 management companies so far). To those folks complaining about the rules, all I can say is perhaps you are not the type of renter a property owner wants in their expensive beach house. We treat all homes we rent out(beach, ski or city apartment) with respect and we don’t throw wild parties or smoke. Just saying…
