We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, which is pretty pricey. This restaurant has great reviews and looks very interesting. The restaurant is located in an upscale hotel that is designed to look like a giant Lodge, which is actually pretty cool. The surrounding neighborhood that one must pass through to get to the hotel and restaurant, however, is very different in look and feel. They started us off with a twice cooked potato amuse-bouche, which was tasty. The wine and courses followed shortly after. The wine pairings were not done particularly well. The wines were younger and not particularly interesting, which was surprising and disappointing. The staff, while nice, was not particularly knowledgeable about the various wines being served. This menu featured salt as the theme, so each course was paired with a different type of salt that could be used to enhance the flavor or characteristics of each dish. Some of the courses were also served on a slab of Himalayan salt. While the presentation may have looked beautiful, the slabs of salt caused several of the courses to be off balance and too salty. The first course was a delicious piece of salmon, but the accompanying morel mushrooms were soaked in butter and lost their natural flavor and texture. The foie terrine was awful, absorbing all of the salt from the slab and it tasted like some kind of thick nut paste. The wagyu ended up being a few thinly sliced pieces that were so insignificant as to be barely worth mentioning. And lastly, the awful dessert was a butterscotch ice cream with pieces of stale, chewy pretzel inside. For $ 130/pp, this meal was a disappointing waste of money and time.

Steak so tough you can’t finish it before your jaw gives out. Oversalted rabbit turned into sausage. Awkward and inattentive staff. Everything way overpriced!

We stayed at the Cedarbrook and had a chance to eat here. Beet salad was wonderful and I don’t even like beets that much. However we need to talk about the steak. The beef tenderloin filet may have been the best I’ve ever had. Yes it is that good. Find a reason to have dinner here. The hotel is great too.

Pretty place. Definitely overrated. Ordered the fish n chips. Fish batter was pretty bland. Texture was nice. Fries were good. Caesar salad was average as well.

Copperleaf is a comfortable, lodge-type upscale restaurant and the quality of the dishes and drinks is mostly high. However, there are some missing pieces. Service was flat. The waitress was entirely disengaged and uninterested. It made for an uninspiring visit. Oddly, the buffet included crab legs, but they were uncut and no utensils were provided for eating them, like a pick or small fork for the meat. Eggs Benedict were served cold. When a restaurant charges a super premium price(over $ 60 per head for buffet), it’s reasonable to expect super premium service and quality. Unfortunately, Copperleaf didn’t measure up.

It was just ok. I liked my food. It wasn’t like the best thing Ive ever had but for the price I wasn’t sent over the edge. I got the crab sandwich and I was expecting an actual sandwich but it was like a smallish crab cake laying on 2 halves of a piece of toast. dry. Crab cake was good. but for 18.00 it was small and I was hungry in an hour. And Im not a big eater. My husbands black & blue salad was good size though and he liked his.

Sweet hideaway — this place is gorgeous. No idea how I’ve missed this place before. Yow A little bocce ball going on in the back yard. Delicious wine and appetizers. Truly a unique beautiful secret spot that I will visit again. Amazing

Beautiful restaurant. Tons of seating both inside and outside and at the bar lounge. You’ll definitely be able to find a place to get comfortable. Happy hour M-F 3:00 a 5:30. Cheese plates, salads, fish & chips and some other goodies. Had the artisan cheese plate while waiting for a table. Insane amount of bread, cheese, nuts and fruit for $ 6! 4 artisan cheeses including chèvre, blue, and pecorino. Candied walnuts, crostini, berries. Let’s get some logistics out of the way. Apple maps will try and navigate you through a gated trailer park. It incorrectly assumes 36 Ave S cuts through this trailer park. You need to enter from the intersection of S 188 st and 36 Ave S. Otherwise you’ll need to backtrack all the way around residential neighborhoods. Lots of focus on local ingredients. Phenomenal waitress, hostess, and staff. Appetizer: Parsnip crème soup. Outstanding with just a hint of sweetness. Definitely not low cal. Amuse bouche: Grilled pear garlic purée and lomo. Great pairing of flavors in one bite. Seared main scallops with Brussel sprouts celery root and foraged mushrooms. Amazing scallops but the mushrooms were meh. Fantastic upscale dining experience. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. Highly recommended.

I have always been a fan of hotel restaurants. First they make me feel like a traveler all the time and second you get top notch service because they have standards and third free wifi fourth… usually it’s quite and not overly popular. The down side is being pricey. I had a great lunch at copperleaf in the cabin — see pictures depicting the good fung shui!

Stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat before flying out at SeaTac. Happy Hour was still going on in their lounge. Nice atmosphere, quiet as we were the only ones there at the time. Nice selection of wines and the food options were interesting. Ordered a salad with trip-tip in it. Meat was tender, but way over spiced. Ediable, but barely. Salad was good and the dressing fresh. I just put the meat to the side. Wife had Fish n’ Chips which was very tasty. Would go again, but maybe try something different.

Locally sourced ingredients, with emphasis on freshness, seasonality, local availability, and simple preparations. Get ready to have all your sensory receptors stimulated, starting with exceptional service, you are in for a treat like no other. Menu is created by two of the best in the restaurant business. We had dinner here on our last night while we were staying at Cedarbrook lodge. I must admit, it was pretty tough pulling us away from our building lounge and ice cream horde. We were able to make reservations a few hours before and were seated quickly. What I really like about the restaurant is all of the seating that they have out by the fireplace outside the lounge. Here you have comfy chairs and couches to sit on and the tables are uniquely decorated. Our service was pretty good. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 30 mins or so after opening and it still took a while to get our orders and then we waited in between courses. Our server was very attentive to our water glasses, removing dishes, and refilling napkins if we got up to use the restroom for a moment. They have several gluten free options on the menu and they also brought out gf bread for me. We ordered the artisan cheese plate which had three cheeses, sliced fruit, candied walnuts and mostarda. Everything on it was pretty good, especially the mostarda. They brought out an amuse-bouche which I missed what exactly it was, but it was interesting and complimentary, which was a nice touch. My BF ordered the elk and I had the scallops. I cook a lot of elk at home and this wasn’t my favorite sauce combo, but the meat was properly prepared. The scallops were also perfect and the truffle sauce was delicious, but again, several of the other components of the dish took over the flavor profile for me. The complimentary dessert was bite sized white chocolate fudge, a caramelized banana, and a ginger soda shot which was a nice sweet end. Portions are just enough, service is good but can be a bit slow, presentation was impeccable, and flavor was certainly artistic but perhaps just not completely compatible to our taste. Price is pretty expensive(about 30 – 40 a plate). We checked out the filet mignon and it was 50, so be prepared to easily spend 100 – 200 per couple. Overall, it was a nice restaurant with an intimate atmosphere, artistic and well executed dishes, and attentive service.

Copperleaf is very busy. We had an 8:30 reservation, but we came early and then decided to eat in the lounge. For Seattle, I thought the beer selection was pretty limited, but there were certainly selections that I liked. The food is fantastic. I had the scallops and it was a very nicely composed dish, the scallops were seared well and still soft and moist inside. Not a hint of grit. The items surrounding the shellfish all complemented it well. I liked the verjus poached sultanas and the chanterelle essence. A bit pricey, but you can see they went all out on ingredients and technique. Worth it!

Sea-Tac Hidden gem near the airport with exceptional service! They started off lunch with some complimentary bubbly. The entire table ordered the sable fish with crab cannoli, Swiss chard and cauliflower and each morsel was divine! At the end of lunch they presented us each with a small cup of rich hot chocolate and cinnamon donut hole. Service is excellent to the T and that is why this is my father’s favorite restaurant. Did I mention the chef trained at French Laundry?

Cam and I made dinner reservations for 5:30pm, but since we had skipped lunch due to our massages, we opted to grab a drink and cheese plate in the bar area. Since it was only 4:00pm, there was no one in the area, but one of staff members came over when we sat down and took our order. After a short walk, we came back to the restaurant for our 5:30pm and were promptly seated. The fireplace they have in the seating area looks like a wonderful place to sit, but you need to specify that area in your reservation, otherwise other people will reserve those seats. All of the waiters and waitresses here were extremely professional to the point that we felt slightly underdressed for the occasion. Although our table was small enough for the staff to reach over and grab/set down whatever they needed to(i.e. dishes, silverware, etc.), our waitress would always set down what was needed on one side of the table and then walk over to the other side of the table and set down the rest. Fancy. They also split all of the plates we ordered so we each got our own plates, which was a nice gesture. Artisan Cheese Plate. This plate came with bread, 3 types of cheeses, candied walnuts, sliced apples, slice pears, mustard, and mostarda. Cam enjoyed the goat cheese and blue cheese, while I liked Thyme & Rosemary Bread. This was the complimentary bread for the night and it was really delicious. They served the rolls warm with plenty of butter. Foie Gras Spread with Biscuit & Roasted Beet. This was the amuse-bouche for the night, which is a complimentary, bite– sized portion of food. I wasn’t a big fan of this, but it was a nice gesture from the kitchen. Mixed Baby Lettuce. This salad was nice and light. The lettuce was tossed in a vinaigrette and topped with a couple of slices of radish and 3 toasted hazelnuts. I really liked the salad overall, but could have used a couple more hazelnuts as the salad itself was pretty simple. Miyazaki«Kuroge Washu» Beef. This was listed under the small plates section, and it definitely was a small plate. Since Cam and I were splitting everything, this wasn’t a big deal, but if you have a larger appetite, this is definitely smaller than a normal entrée size. That being said, this dish was absolutely amazing! The beef was perfectly cooked and literally melted in your mouth. I loved the potatoes and brussels sprouts served with the meat and found the quail egg toast to be interesting. Anderson Ranch Lamb«Navarin». Like the beef dish, the lamp was perfectly cooked and delicious. This dish was served with a warm, savory sauce right before serving, which really brought out all of the flavors of this dish. Dutch Apple Baby. This was a Bobby Flay Challenge winning dish, so we decided that this would be a good end to our meal. I thought that it was just okay and really liked the pancake and apple part of the dessert, but found the cream to be too sharp for me. I think a scoop of vanilla ice cream would have suited my tastes better, but Cam really liked it(he’s a cheese lover at heart). Ginger Soda, Shortbread Cookie, Brownie. These were bite sized, complimentary desserts served after our meal. It was a nice palate cleanser although we were almost too full to eat it. Overall, we had a great meal and it was the perfect amount of food for both of us. There is a tasting menu available here, but since we wanted a lighter meal, we opted to just pick a variety of dishes from the menu. The food was amazing and perfectly prepared, and the staff was awesome. This is definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a nice dinner out.

This is really a little oasis close to SEATAC airport. It’s a quiet, upscale place with beautiful décor and great food. Our server Piper was excellent. This restaurant is associated with a hotel called the Cedarbrook Lodge. It’s a bit hard to find, but well worth the effort. We are definitely going back.

Still 5 stars and possibly the best meal I have ever eaten in my life tonight! From the minute you enter the Lodge and walk into the restaurant, the experience begins! Our first treat was a hand scrub potion from the spa in both the men’s and woman’s restrooms! Second treat was the staff! From the boys that open the doors to enter the Lodge for you to the restaurant staff, you are treated like royalty! And the meal, I couldn’t begin to describe the tastiness of the food! First, they bring out a little fig treat to start the meal. Num num! I chose the December tasting menu and it did not disappoint! Started with celery root soup, drizzled with candied walnuts and infused with mushrooms! After sitting for a moment, the veggies were served: maple squash with poached cranberries and swiss chard. Way to make your greens melt in your mouth! Next out of the kitchen was the diver scallops with poached apples, brown butter chestnuts with a back tea vinaigrette. Cooked to perfection! I thought the scallops would be the main attraction, but they were followed by duck and duck comfit, served with brussel sprouts, amazing bacon pieces and a melt in your mouth graham cracker cake! All the while, the staff is adjusting your silverware for the courses, filling water glasses, replacing your napkin if you get up to use the restroom and generally spoiling you every minute of the dining experience! The 5th entrée of my tasting menu was dessert and it featured Gingerbread ice cream, Rum Raisin Pudding Cake, Pecan Brittle, and a Cinnamon Crème Anglaise. Did I mention that this is all farm to table? The valets told me stories of the local farmers dropping off produce and meats. When they say fresh, they mean it! One of the butchers dropping off goat meat, led the goat right out of the truck and delivered him to the chef! Well, dessert was over but we were not finished. In true Copperleaf style, a mini dessert(not on the menu) was placed before us as we languished after the meal. A refreshing small glass of orange soda and a peanut butter bar and chocolate cookie! My taste buds will remember this meal for years to come!

Just enjoying a group get together in an extremely empty bar when the manager Terra told us we don’t allow this are for group gatherings and it is for paying guests. I guess ordering $ 500 of food and drinks is not paying customers. The bar server is so embarrassed and begged us not to leave. Mind you it is only 4:00 in the afternoon and no one wanting or waiting to come in. Terra and her cohort need a serious lesson in customer service and have lost a valued customer. Rude is just too polite to describe her and her sidekick.

Can I say amazing?! This restaurant is really such a hidden gem. You would never expect a restaurant like this to be tucked away in SeaTac. Our server was so nice and just enjoyable. The food was delicious, beautiful, fresh, unique and came out in a timely manner. I can’t wait to go back here and tell so many friends and family about Copperleaf. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we were treated so nicely.

From the ambience of the restaurant to the beautifully crafted dinner our experience was nothing less than spectacular! The price point was high but worth every penny! It was obvious the chef took pride in his creations as the dinner plate arrived at our table looking like a masterpiece of color and had extraordinary flavor! I had the halibut and my daughter had the duck. Both were exquisite and we savored every bite! We started with the heirloom tomato salad that was prepared with excellence, every bite had a different color and slightly different taste. Terrific dining experience! Highly recommend!

What a gem of a place if you are in SeaTac on a one night wait for a flight in the am! Serene atmosphere, great wine list and great food, what more do you need?! We sat in the bar as there was an event in the dining room. I had the Fish and Chips & ate every single bite. Hubby had the spinach salad which he said had the most delicious dressing he has ever eaten. Coming from a guy that rarely eats anything other than blue cheese dressing, that is saying something! This place is a not miss!

Stumbled on this place while looking for restaurants near SeaTac. I’m staying about 0.5 miles away, but it was a nice walk. The atmosphere is fancy, in a hotel tucked away down in the trees. When I walked to the entrance I actually almost turned around and left because of everyone wearing ties and jackets but the nice gentleman at the front said it’s a very casual atmosphere and to not worry. The meal is incredible! I ordered halibut with summer squash, fennel relish and chick pea panini. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the waiter and staff were incredible. The chick pea panini was one of the best things I’ve ever had and the summer squash was cooked perfectly. I’ve never had fennel relish but it added a very sweet addition to the savory dish. The halibut was flaky with a golden brown seared crust. I ate a bite with the relish and the halibut was lost, but in the tomatoe sauce it was incredible. As a nice bonus, they added a simple side salad, courtesy of the chef. Simple green lettuce with oil and pepper. Very nice touch. My only regret is that I began writing a review before taking a picture of my plate, and just wanted to point out the presentation was beautiful.

Definitely a hidden gem. Tucked away from the beaten path lies a cozy little lodge with a fantastic organic farm-to-table restaurant. I took a customer there today after finding this place on Unilocal and trusting the reviews(as I do frequently) and you Unilocalers didn’t let me down. The place is awesome! A lovely rustic ambience with a giant fireplace made for a delightful setting. It could be a great place for a romantic date too. The food was stellar. I had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned only with butter and oil to give it a crispy outside and a flaky inside. Ideal for really tasting what one is eating. Portion size was perfect. And the hot tea selection was Mighty Leaf(big points scored for quality tea). I’ll definitely go again!
