i found this place on the web(i’m l.a., they’re seattle) after searching for like 3 days for some deck railing options. i forget what keywords i used, maybe«deck railing kits» because i needed a well-priced option and kits imply do it yourself. but when i did stumble upon them i was ecstatic! first… after i had found many railing options from other sites and was interested in getting a quote, on those sites you had to individually pick and choose each piece of the system you wanted to buy and seriously… do you know what balusters, post caps and railings are, and how many you need of each? dizzying! second… when i had a normal local place i regularly use come and give me a quote for a glass railing system, they said it was about $ 250 /lineal foot. i needed about 22 feet of railing… so you do the math! so like i said, i find easyrailings on the web and start to check them out. they have 5 very basic styles. nothing you’d find on a frank geary or i.m. pei installation but certainly basic, attractive, decent styles and designed in such a way to get the job quickly and get it done well. i ordered the glass panel railings here, which were quite similar to options i had seen across the web. but here it was so easy to plan, plot and order. you input measurements and directions of the amount of railing you need with their on-line drafting program, you choose the style and color… and it immediately gives you back a comprehensive quote including shipping with every single piece you need. it’s probably the easiest ordering for semi-custom stuff i’ve ever done. turnaround and shipping time(by truck) was quick quick too, took about 9 days total if i recall from order to receipt. installation was straight-forward and it took two days to completely install 3 sets of railings — again, about 22 feel of railing total. it was time consuming but not out of the ordinary, because we needed shims to level decking out, you need power tools to drill, you need to cut some pieces(ie top railing) and thus measure very carefully, you need to measure spacing of the poles and secure them carefully. certainly things someone patient or handy can do(!). i am neither, by the way! we had a handy dandy handyman do it for us. anyway, the product is excellent quality. i’m around building products all day so i know! and the price is unbeatable. my total order came to roughly $ 1300 for 22′ total of aluminum and glass railings — while the other similar options i found online and locally were in the $ 4,000 — $ 5500+ range. so again, you do the math! service was also excellent, with fast response to emails and availability on the phone to answer questions both before purchase and during and after installation. overall… top notch! already looking at them again for some other railing we need, as i know there’s no need to look anywhere else!
