DONOTCOMEHERE. Over all this place is nice but the living conditions here isn’t worth it. Let’s go though the problems. First off, tenants. There are way too many tenants including the managers.(Don’t even get me started on the managers). All together currently including me, there are 22 people staying here. The place is a decent size for 8 people or so but it’s crowded. I drew the short stick cause I got the room that beds 7 people. And let me tell you, with this many people here, there’s always drama. And the killer part is that they are trying to add 4 more people and put them in the living room where the only tv is in. I believe I know what the next topic is. 2. Managers A lot of the tenants have a major disliking for the managers. For good reason too. There are 3 on site managers. The main one stays locked up in the office the time that he is here(there’s a bed up in there). He’s a pretty grumpy guy. You can have a conversation with him but you feel as if you need to watch what you say. The second one, as many people say, is a real b**ch. She is the laziest of the three and takes advantage of her position, hoards things for herself, and is very passive aggressive if she doesn’t like you. The third one is the best manager and in my opinion, should be the ONLY manager. He lives in the shed in the back. He’s a nice guy and can carry a conversation with and is the only one that keeps up with the place. The over all problem with the managers is that they aren’t very manager like. From what I’m told and what I see, they pocket the money that tenants give them for rent and rarely use then for amenities. And at around $ 400+ per person, for 20 people, is a good profit. Which is why they are trying to add even more people. And for $ 400+ per person, you would think that there would be awesome amenities. Next topic 3. Amenities Let’s start off with the good. Free laundry and detergent provided(provided you can beat the other tenants to it). Free cereal for breakfast. Bed with sheets provided. Provided 1 towel. Wifi. Cable tv. 2 restrooms. Alright now the bad. Free laundry IF one of the managers decide to restock the detergent. Free cereal IF the managers decide to buy milk. Bed with sheets. Not anything bad here except one thing that I’ll get to next. 1 towel that you need to hold on to. You only get one towel cause one of the managers hoards the towels. Wifi sucks. Slow as hell for phones for some reason. Cable tv. Only one tv in a house of 22. Most of the tenants won’t mind sharing the tv though. 2 restrooms that are always full. Being this many people, the mornings are painful to the bladder seeing as how both restrooms are full with people taking showers. Next issue 3. Health concerns About the bed sheets. I’ve been told that this place had a problem with bed bugs. That’s right. Bed bugs. This leads to another topic. But yes. I haven’t seen one. But I’ve seen the bites on other tenants and I’ve seen the actions taken to get rid of them. If you’re a smoker then you’ll have no problem here. But for those that don’t, you won’t enjoy the back patio as there’s always someone smoking either cigarettes or weed. Don’t worry though. No smoking is allowed inside the house. 4. Legal issues This ties in to the bed bugs and the managers pocketing money. This is currently an illegal boarding house. From what I’ve been told, the city health inspector came and shut this place down months ago cause of bed bugs. So this place shouldn’t even be still running. Had I known this before I came, I would not be here. But yes this place is running illegally. Which leads to the next problem. Managers pocket money cause they aren’t recording any rent. Yea you pay, you stay. But it’s not recorded. They are not paying the proper taxes and not recording any income to the IRS. Which is why the managers ask you pay in only cash. Which if they aren’t careful, will blow up in their face. Overall, this place would be great if the managers were people who actually cared, if the place was legal, and with less tenants. But as of this moment in time, it’s a horrible place. Do not come here.
