Stila Limo

It would appear this outfit will schedule early morning work but then conveniently leave you high & dry.
I had read a review on another site that read
«I called to schedule a ride to the airport @ 3am & these effers hung up on me, they just said we dont work that early.»
I decided to call & see for myself, I felt that reviewer had probably caught them on a bad/​busy day.
They answered up & happily scheduled me & to think for $ 50 Id be scheduling my wife & her sister to go to the airport in a limo from federal way!
NOW: Its currently 3:25am & Ive called them several times & only got their machine, these effers stood me up, & wont answer!
STITA taxi just pulled up & saved the day (the guy had some foreign music blasting & his spare tire is in the trunk taking up luggage space from his «breakdown LOST week» but at least he’s here) because STILA dropped the ball. Do yourself a favor & dont gamble with your trip to the airport, at least not with this guaranteed flop of a company. If you decide to do so anyhow (as some of you may still not believe –I too was guilty) make sure you give ample lead time so you can schedule a real professional company to come do the job once these guys fail to show.
Lesson learned though, I should have tried Unilocalin’ these guys beforehand, their reputation sucks.

I used STILA limo today while coming back from airport. While the ride was smooth, the driver was extremely rude. Since he was rude, I didn’t want to tip him. But even then gave him a tip of 6%. He demanded 10% instead and created a scene in front of the apartment building. I am never using their service again.

I’m writing to share my disappointment with my experiences using STILA. My wife and I have used your limousine service 3 times and each time experienced safety issues. I have described the incidents, including key information below.
Incident 3:

Route: Seatac Airport to xxxx Warren Avenue North, Seattle, WA
Issue: The driver answered multiple calls during the drive. While the driver used an earpiece, he did write notes during the conversation. The driver also began the billing process while we were still on 99 and the vehicle was moving. He removed the credit card machine from the center console, ran our credit card and then attached it to a clipboard for us to sign. I told him I wouldn’t sign the bill until we arrived at my house.
Incident 2:
Date: 11÷26÷13
Route: xxxx Warren Avenue North, Seattle, WA to Seatac Airport
Issue: We requested a SUV to ensure there was adequate room for our luggage and the car seat for my 4 month old daughter. The SUV that arrived only had 1 safety anchor per seat instead of the 2 required to attach all car seats. This has been a requirement of car makers since 2001. This caused us to have to drive to the airport with our daughter in unsecured car seat. The driver did apologize multiple times and also drove conservatively.
Incident 3:

Route: Seatac Airport to xxxx Warren Avenue North, Seattle, WA
Issue: The driver of the SUV drove in an aggressive manner which bordered on recklessness. The driver consistently maintained a speed 10 mph above the posted limit. The driver also didn’t maintain proper distance from other vehicles, consistently «tailing» the car in front with less than 1 car distance.

I have no problem using Stila when leaving the airport. They are there, and so far, convenient. Normally I take the cabs, which also are waiting at SEA. My last trip, however, I arrived with 4 kids, and the cabs had a small line. When Stila called out to me, pointing to their limo and promising a $ 65 flat rate to Norkirk (north side of downtown Kirkland), the kids wouldn’t let me say no. I called to schedule a return ride with no problem, but the driver had been given a rate by dispatch of $ 75. He did tell me it should always be $ 65 for that route, but he was powerless to change it.
Presently, I’m sitting in a lovely car operated by Metropolis, who arrived 15 minutes early and at 6am, is pleasantly allowing me to sit in quiet peace (I love it when the driver is willing to take my lead on whether I want to be chatty or silent). Metropolis’ rate for the same route? $ 60, plus $ 6 fuel surcharge. I’m considering setting these guys up for my next arrival to see how smoothly that goes. I never appreciate dishonesty in pricing, and any business owner should know that jacking a customer for $ 10 because they didn’t confirm the rate on the phone will not lead to true prosper. Notice I appear to only be leaving the 2^nd review for Stila while Metropolis has 60 something reviews with over 4 star rating.

I am giving them two stars as we have occasionally had good service from them.
If you are at Sea-​Tac and request Ground Transportation, STILA has the contract for town cars and limos. Since they are located right at the airport, it is usually pretty quick for them to pick you up, and you don’t have to have a reservation.
Anyway, we have used STILA many times but their quality of service goes down every time. When we called them in May 2013, their dispatcher’s phone number forwarded to Voice Mail. I called several times, and then was able to contact someone at the Port of Seattle (Airport) who walked over to them and asked them to send a town car to take us home. It took extra time but we made it.
Last night will probably be our last time using this service. The dispatcher obviously knows nothing of the area. I asked for town car to Cougar Mountain in Bellevue. She kept asking me if that was Downtown Bellevue or Crossroads. I kept saying neither. Then I got disconnected (I think her cell phone dropped.) I called back. She was still confused by the location so I said South Bellevue. She quoted a rate of $ 50 and said a SUV would pick us up. We had expected a Town Car but really just wanted to get home, so said OK. The driver picked us up and when we got to our home, he would not honor the $ 50 rate and said it would be $ 55. We paid it and my sweet husband still gave him the full 20% tip but we probably won’t use them again. If the dispatcher quotes a price that is within $ 5 of what the driver wants to charge, shouldn’t they honor the quoted price? We didn’t misrepresent our location. And what was our alternative? Be taken back to Sea-​Tac? I would no longer recommend this service and we will go back to reserving from off-​airport companies in the future.
