Viewcrest has been my home since my condo was finished in 2007. This is a fantastic, quiet community overlooking the Kent Valley with an amazing view of Mount Rainier. I enjoy the easy access to I-​5, 167, 405, the light rail and Amtrak. The new Angle Lake light rail station will open this year that will make it even easier to access the light rail. It is a short walk to the bus stop for access to Route 180 that will take you to Seatac Airport to the west or Kent Station to the east. It is a 10 minute ride either way. The new Amazon buildings are just down the street next to Starbucks making it a great commute for the people in our community who work there. There are walking trails within the community and biking/​walking/​running trails along the river. There is easy access to various parks along the river including Van Doren’s Landing Park and Three Friends Fishing Hole. Our homeowner’s association representative is quick to answer emails and deal with any issues. Our dues have even gone down this year due to the diligent members of the board keeping tabs on the budget. All units on the property have a parking garage with many of the homes having space for 2 or even 3 cars. I have really enjoyed my time in this community and I look forward to many more great years!

Do not move here!!! We just bought a home in this community and have never had any issues here until recently… They started a new policy where you are not allowed to park in the same parking spot for more then 24 hours! wtf is that? They give restrictions on parking where you live!!! That’s just ridiculous! We ended up having to pay 150 dollars for the tow guy not to tow our car. It was in the same spot for only 3 days. They put the notice on the front of our car so we were never able to see them. Lesson learned from this situation: move the heck out of here the first chance we get.

Great homes! But the negatives are adding up – weekly noisy landscaping crew, a not so responsive manager, and whooping cough that must be contagious among the crews the HOA hires and some neighbors.

I have lived at VIewcrest since April of 2007 and I have been really happy there. I have had the occasional issue with parking and someone did take my garbage can for one night in ²⁰⁰⁷⁄₂₀₀₈. It happened once and I addressed this at the next HOA meeting and it never happened again.
Access to I-​5, 167 is a cinch and commuting into Seattle with average traffic volumes takes about 20 – 30 minutes. There is a lot of wlidlife in the area with red tail and coopers hawks, rabbits There are cayotes in the area so cats should not be allowed to roam free. I would and have recommeneded this community to friends and others.

Viewcrest is a great place to live. The units are bright and open, with tall ceilings and new appliances. The location is great – right in the cradle of I-​5, 405, 99, West Valley Hwy, 167… yet it is not in a «sketchy» area, despite its SeaTac address. The neighborhood is clean and quiet (with exception of garbage day). It is a fairly young community – aside from a few children here and there, residents seem to be mid-​20s to late-​40s. It’s also pet-​friendly, which is a definite plus for us!
I am changing my review from four stars to five, because the HOA has gotten a lot easier to deal with since we first moved in. The parking used to be a huge issue, because they did not make it clear where you could and couldn’t park, but they have since painted the restricted fire-​lane zones, and defined the guest parking more clearly. Homeowners/​renters parking in guest spaces is not encouraged, but you won’t get towed or anything, either.
As far as having signs on the grass (regarding the review before me), the only sign I EVER saw (even at the very beginning) was on ONE roped-​off 10’x10’ plot, which had been recently seeded. Big woop, now the grass is fully grown and there’s no issue (there never was! lol).
Bottom line, we are very happy with this neighborhood.

My husband and I just moved into the Viewcrest Condos, and it is by far THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER LIVED IN… Parking is atrocious!!! If you have a 3 car family do not even remotely consider this complex as suitable. We had the unfortunate circumstance of having our car towed from the front of our condo (and we are a 2 car family), without first letting us know there was a problem. Plus, they waited until we were not home to call the towing people. This cost us $ 630 to get our car back. I thought that people were suppose to bring you cookies when you move into a new neighborhood. The salesman Cedric was VERY RUDE to us! He lied to us about who authorized the towing of our car.
Then to top it off… they have stupid signs on the lawn that says to stay off the grass. We don’t live in a museum people! I want to be able to lay out in the grass with my child and get a little sunshine, is that too much to ask out of a place WE ARE PAYING FOR? We pay to get the grass cut and kept up. Shouldn’t we be able to go on it?
I DO NOT RECCOMEND THAT ANYONE MOVE HERE!

Yaayyy! we are finally moving from this GOD AWEFUL PLACE! Have I mentioned how the people here are whiny bratts? I had our recycle bin out front because we didn’t have room in our tiny ass garage because we are in the process of packing. And someone wrote a note on it that if we didn’t move it out of site they were going to take it. O.M.F.G. So I wrote back to take it and F off. A little drastic? Maybe, I think I may be up for an Oscar, but come on man what does it take for a girl to get a break?
