418 Public House

First visit was great! Super good food and great service! I will definitely be back. Taco plate was great and those retried beans-​whoa! I haven’t had beans that great in such a long time. Yum!

Tasty and friendly! Reasonably priced, decently done divey Mexican food. Went in the other night and had a super tasty chicken burrito and a cider on tap. Food arrived in less than ten minutes and I felt completely comfortable having my dinner alone at the bar. Not bad at all for $ 15 total!

Great beer and margaritas at great prices. I love the burritos and the chips and guacamole. They have a back room with lots of pinball and skeeball. Overall, just a great local neighborhhod bar.

Great low key spot in stumble town. Tacos are delicious always fresh. I also get chips and salsa with guacamole. This spot has been a lot of spots over the years but it is by far the coolest it’s been. They’ve added a room of old school video games, an outdoor patio, and it has its own parking lot!

I don’t understand why there are so many children in here. I thought this was a bar. I thought the description said Not Good For Kids. Why are people bringing their children here. I guess this is a great place to bring your children and get a drink, but those of us who prefer our bars to be child-​free should go elsewhere.

Great place to grab a beer, solid food, and like the layout and setup. Shuffle board, pool, and a ms pac man machine.

I have been going here since it first opened. Good beer, great food, and a shuffle board. What more can you ask for. Get the pork on tacos, burritos, or tostadas. You won’t regret it!

Love this bar with awesome beer and flavorful Mexican food at the right price! One recommendation– please add more lighting. Otherwise scared to talk more about 418 in case it becomes insanely popular and there’s no table for us ;)

Only been here once but it was great. I had two diffrerent IPAs and the chilaquiles with barbacoa. Service was mellow and excellent. Bartender/​Waiter had on a red and white cowboy shirt that was awesome. Food hit the spot. Much better than average Tex-​Mex.
The menus say «place order at the bar» but we didn’t have to because Sweet Cowboy Shirt came over and took care of us straight away. That was the only confusion and it was not a big deal at all.
Will be back. Good jorb 418!

Reasonable priced food in an area that does not seem to have much to offer, you will enjoy the service and food, and great beer selection, liked it, I will most likely be back.

Cool little place! I went during their weekend brunch. Very vegetarian friendly. Prices are very reasonable and the food was quite good. I think there was only one waiter covering the entire restaurant, so unfortunately it took a while for us to get service. Other than that, it was a good experience and I will return!

Came to this place with a few friends in hope of a taco Tuesday. Unfortunately there were no specials. We stayed despite not havin specials. Good thing we did. Each of us bought taco and we agreed on the flavor. We were all surprised because of how good they tasted.
Their drinks were reasonably priced and paired well with the tacos. I would definitely return.

Came here in the summer of 2014 and had the best burrito! I am bad at on time Unilocaling…
Last night I was house sitting in the area and decided to try a burrito again. The things are huge so we split a wet pork burrito and had some spicy bean dip and chips. So yum! Upon ordering drinks I admitted that I had overindulged the night before and was gonna sip some water. I was then contemplating a little margarita hair-​of-​the-​dog when the server came over with some soda and bitters to help settle my stomach!
He noticed a soiled menu and quickly changed it out. Little things like that make the difference!

Great little neighborhood bar! Tasty mexican food at a decent price. Decent beer selection. Yummy margaritas. This one will make it into the regular rotation.

Spontaneously popped in after a Saturday morning bike ride. Excellent breakfast. Great combination of tastes.
Loved that there was a baby on the floor making a racket, as children are allowed during daytime.

Really good food at reasonable and perhaps cheaper than most prices. We had the chips with bean dip– surprisingly good. For entrees we ordered the tostada vegetariana and the chicken tamale. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Lots of chicken!
The music /​place can be loud but you get used to it and dont notice after a while. Service was fast. Shuffleboard area was reserves for a private event when we were there so didnt check it out. Would be back. Probably more often if they carried Mannys as well.
Its a nice place to hang out and get a beer with friends. Parking is easy.

Josh runs Tuesday night. Which is pajama-​nite! That’s right wear PJs and get a shot & a beer after 1030. Then, stay for a movie. Awesome!

I love this place. Benny the bartender is a super rad dude, and Ursula is hot.
The food is good, I eat here like twice a week because I’m too lazy to cook (and no one delivers when it’s snowing outside).
Have a shot and a beer, watch something on the big screen or play shuffleboard. Have fun!

Very very cool place. Drinks were reasonably priced & there was a nice variety. At first I expected typical bar food but was pleasantly surprised with the very tasty Mexican food. I ordered the Torta (w/​Pork) which was very good– great bun, pork was flavorful & it was huge. Everything else looked amazing & I heard their burritos ARE something to write home about.
We came on a Friday night for a birthday, at first it was crowded & tough to find seats but the upstairs area (with pool & shuffle board!) was a nice place to hangout.

The Public House is alright. When we were there, they had a whiskey on special for $ 5. It was tasty, I don’t remember what it was unfortunately. The space is quite dark since it extends pretty far back and the windows are only in the front. It’s nice though but kind of confusing since it’s very bar-​like, but then they serve food that is above bar food.
I had the chicken mole burrito. It was tasty and smokey but the portion appeared small. The portion was probably fine but it was just a burrito, no ruffage or chips or something to round out the basket it arrived in. The hub had a sandwich which also felt like it was missing something. But he said his sandwich was good. They do sell sides of chips, beans & rice, etc which would then bring up the cost to $ 10, still a good price. but I guess it’s just a mental game. If I have to order extra to fill up my plate, I most likely won’t.
I would be interested in coming here for their whiskeys and give another shot at their food too.
