This is one of Seattle’s best artists studios and galleries around. This place needs support and needs to stay. They have hosted some of the most talented artists around and everyone in the building is extremely friendly and open minded about all facets of art. This is a must stop location for first Thursdays!

619 is one of the key locations for the first thursday artwalk in Pioneer Square each month. It’s an amazing hub for artists in the area, and I’m deeply saddened to hear of it’s forthcoming destruction due to the viaduct-​replacing tunnel.
A friend of mine has had a studio in this building for about a year, and I’ve been in a decent amount of the other studios here. I hope all of the artists find new homes, their contribution to the seattle art scene and seattle culture in general would be sorely missed.
Additionally, I fear he may get a significantly less amount of pussy when he moves his studio to a more out of the way place, and I’ll have no rickety old building wherein to drink henry weinhards belgian style wheat. Shame.
