AAA is good for getting your car off the road and to a shop and thats about it. Tried one of their batteries, and go figure – it lasted exactly 3 months past the 3 year warranty. Another nice experience was just a couple of weeks ago, where I needed a tow at 10pm at night and the tow driver said we couldn’t get dropped off at home(within 2 miles) so our choices were stay on the side of the road or wait all night outside the closed shop. Having said that, when you call AAA and the dispatcher asks how many passengers are riding with the driver, you may assume that means you will get home SAFE, not true. For whatever reason you(the human beings) are treated less than the car being towed!!! You are expected to call a cab, an Über or a Lyft. Unfortunately, they don’t tell you this on the phone and so you get that great news on the spot when the tow driver is there and ready to go. If they informed their insured customers on the phone of this, there would be time to get that cab, Über, or Lyft within the hour it takes the tow truck to arrive.
