If this is the business affiliated with a guy named Jessie stay away at all COSTS! This guy had my car for a period of about two weeks and he claimed he would have it ready in about 4 days or so. When I called him to check in on the date he had given me I got the run around about how he wasn’t ‘feeling well’ and was going to look at it ‘another day’. After making an extended date as to when the car would be ready come around to find out he still hadn’t done anything! To add insult to injury, he claimed he would quote me a lot less than the previous mechanic who looked at my car and ended up trying to charge me 500 dollars more. all in all this experience was extremely unpleasant and I urge anyone in need of repairs to stay AWAY!

My alternator failed on me last month and I’ve spent the last month trying to find someone to replace it for me without charging me an arm and a leg to do a basic repair. After talking back and forth with dealership service centers, independent shops, and various mobile mechanics on Craigslist, I found Jesse. Shot him an email detailing what was wrong, and within minutes he replied. After speaking on the phone, we set up a time for the next day for me to come to his garage in West Seattle.
Super nice guy. As soon as I pulled up, he greeted me and got right to work on the alternator. A few diagnostic tests later to confirm the problem, and he’s taking off the mass air flow module, and the old alternator is off, the new one is installed. My Explorer runs great again. And I saved $ 350 from what the dealership quoted me. Like a lot of independent mobile mechanics, the responsibility to buy the parts falls on the customer, and that’s still a great deal.
It’s $ 55 per hour for the labor if you go to him. For him to come out to you, the labor rate goes up to $ 75 per hour.
In the event anything goes wrong with any of my cars, I’m taking them to Jesse now. I recommend you do the same. It is so refreshing to meet mechanics who simply love what they do and aren’t out to cheat their customers. Seriously, he’s good people. And he works on boats, too!
