worst company ever, poor telephone prop flow, poor website design, phone wait times in the 40 minute range, in general pretty poor customer service. The state needs to find a new agency to manage collections as this is a huge account the company needs to be able to deal with the fines in a modern quick, manor.

I will rate this company as 5 stars, as I think it will only please their real customers (people who wanted to give the people «in debt» all kinds of hell) to see they are doing their job to make us (whoever being collected) suffer. Hope a 5 star here will serve the purpose of actually damaging their image.
I had to deal with them due to a mistaken collection. They have extremely terribly customer service and tones, as «we don’t get paid by you» (they are paid by their collectors and thus they treat me like s**t).
Well, seems that is correct as treating me terribly wouldn’t cause them to lose «customers». But now I decided to sue the hell out of whoever mistakenly put me to this company, to make them pay the experience they caused, and the time got wasted.

I asked to have a parking ticket removed from my credit report. The only other issue on there was removed by another (Commonwealth) collections with no problem. And by removed, I mean taken off, deleted, no longer showing, etc.
The first person I talked to said she did not have the authority to remove it. Fair enough, pass me up the chain (or down the spiral). The second said «We can remove items prior to paying if you ask. I don’t have that authority but my supervisor does.»
She established that alliance one CAN remove items completely from credit reports.
So, on to Satan. She told me that in no circumstance would any item be removed from my credit report as my creditors have a right to know. I asked her about the policy wherein if you threaten not to pay, they will remove it upon payment. She replied that yes, they CAN do that, but WILL NOT after payment has been made with no prior arrangement. I said «you treat people differently if they do the right thing and pay the fine without argument than if they threaten to withhold payment, correct?»
She agreed that that was the case.
Yes, I screwed up and let a parking ticket get to them, I fully admit it.
She spouted ethical standards that apply only to someone that has done the right thing and paid. Those ethics fly right out the window if it means them not getting paid.
What I learned: Alliance One CAN and WILL remove items from credit reports only if you threaten not to pay, if you already have you are screwed. If ever I have the misfortune to deal with them again I will demand they remove any marks from my credit before I pay.

This company is so frustrating. I got a ticket on my car back in November. HOWEVER, although I was ISSUED a ticket, the ticket never appeared on my car. I WAS NEVER notified of the ticket and ALLIANCE ONE NEVER NOTIFIED ME EITHER. Now it’s been almost a year and my credit is shot. These people have really bad karma coming to them.

I am sure most collection agencies are not going to get a very high rating on Unilocal… but after having some experiences with some ‘ok’ collection agencies — I can honestly say this one is the pits.
I had worked out a payment arrangement (and actually made payments) with highland hospital when low and behold, I get put into collections…
This company is REFUSING to work with me and continues spitting out rhetoric ‘it’s the company policy’ type of bs when I tell them I will pay the balance in full in return they remove this off of my credit — which btw ALL collection agencies have the power to do so — and have done this for me in the past.
But not Alliance… noooooo for some strange reason it’s somehow beneficial for them to have this marking on MY credit– beyond any sort of reasoning — since it’s a ‘valid account.’ They absolutely refuse to remove it!!! Even AFTER I told them I am in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage to buy a house!!!
Normally, people are sympathetic to customer’s plight and will budge every now and then but not Alliance. WOW you guys are sooo tough!!!
All I have to say is Karma, bitches. Your husbands will suffer a massive heart attack;your child will get hit by a bus or some other tragedy will fall upon your miserable lives for all the people who you continuously abash with your ‘policies’ and unwillingness to be and respond like a normal human would.

Had terrible expierence these people just ripped me off

If there was negative stars I would give it to this place. I cannot believe how RUDE the woman I was I just talked with. Her name is Anna and she’s at ext. 6224. She just gave me horrible news about my account, and I tried to calmly, very nicely say, «Maybe you should tell people that up front. You might avoid conversations like this.» She just ripped my head off.
I guess, if you want to spend time being rude to people all day then sure, work here. If you want people to be rude to your clients, hire this agency. If not, and you think people should be treated like human beings, and not a source of revenue that should be exploited as much as possible, you might want to try another place. I don’t write reviews. I read them all day for work, so you can imagine how much it would take for me to take my time and write a review. Anyone that knows me, knows I can be almost annoyingly positive, so this had to be one horrible experience.
I get that if you work at a place like this, you must be pretty jaded. However, in real life people do have emergencies. In my life, I am working my butt off in order to crawl out of the hole I am in. It’s a daily struggle. However, when I get kicked in the stomach by someone who’s just bitter and angry it really sucks. I just spent the last ½ hour crying my eyes out on the corner.
For anyone who needs this info. If you miss a payment, they will kick you out of the program. You will have to pay ½ of your outstanding balance to get back in the program. ½! As you can see, that might have been important info to know up front.
I would spend more time wishing horrible things happen to this woman however, I don’t need the bad karma. I do however wish that at some point in her life something bad happens and she really needs help and someone treats her like she just treated me.
Me, I’m going back to work and try and help people. I will crawl out of this hole one step at a time. I can’t let sad, bitter people hold me down. To you, keep your head up, don’t let the b$#%^ds drag you down!
